Chapter 80 - I Teach You How to Shoot

Chapter 80 I Teach You How to Shoot
The botanical garden was covered in darkness, and the trees and buildings visible to the naked eye were only lumps of hazy shadows. The night wind blew through the tops of the trees, making thousands of branches rustle. It sounded as if someone was crying in the dark.

Jiang Hao and Ning Tao snuck off the curb to the botanical garden gate.

There was supposed to be guards at the gate, but there was nobody at the moment.

The loss of cell phone signal, the blacked out botanical garden, and the absence of guards at the gate all indicated that something was wrong.

Ning Tao suddenly remembered something and asked, “Who else is there in the botanical garden besides the guards? Or something important?”

Jiang Hao was silent for a moment before she answered, “Lin Qinghua’s in there. Liang Keming and his team of experts will be flying to Shan City tomorrow to restart the project of ancestor seeking. Liang Keming has ordered the guards to protect Lin Qinghua and ordered me to keep it secret and not tell anyone. He’s already the director of the project. I’m just in charge of security. His authority is over mine.”

Her hesitation before speaking was apparently due to Liang Keming’s order of keeping it secret. Jiang Hao said Lin Qinghua was protected, but he was actually controlled.

“Why are you telling me now?” Ning Tao asked.

“This is a special situation, and I have to let you know,” Jiang Hao replied. “And…”

“And?”

“You’re not an outsider.” Jiang Hao’s voice became inaudible.

Ning Tao paused slightly. In such a strange environment, a ripple of unspeakable feelings passed through him.

“Follow me.” Jiang Hao rushed out of the corner, bent low and sped through the gate.

Ning Tao followed Jiang Hao into the gate. The moment he stepped through the gate, he quietly woke up the eyes and nose and made them enter the state of looking and smelling. In his eyes, Jiang Hao was wrapped by a colorful innate aura, and all the smells on her body entered his nostrils, leaving nothing to be missed. But he quickly looked away from Jiang Hao. His target wasn’t Jiang Hao, but someone who might be lurking in the shadows.

They sneaked along without encountering anyone suspicious or even the slightest abnormal sound. The botanical garden looked as if facing a sudden blackout, not a sudden dangerous situation.

Lin Qinghua’s Asking the Heaven Building appeared in front of them. It was dark, too. No lights were burning.

Jiang Hao crouched down under a tree by the side of the road to observe the lab, but her brow soon furrowed. “It’s a pity that I don’t have my low-light night vision, or we wouldn’t be so passive.”

Ning Tao squatted down beside Jiang Hao and whispered, “What do you think is going on?”

Jiang Hao lowered her voice and replied, “I’m not sure. There were eight guards here, all of whom were transferred from Shan City special police department. Our people won’t arrive until tomorrow. I’m not familiar with them. Maybe someone on duty went to the distribution room to check. Maybe…”

“Maybe what?” Ning Tao asked.

Jiang Hao shook her head. She didn’t seem to want to talk about the bad possibility.

Ning Tao volunteered, “Are you wanting to say that someone’s invaded here?”

“Don’t think so bad about it. This is the interior of our country and I don’t believe anyone would dare attack it. You wait here and I’ll go in.” Jiang Hao crouched down and went out from under the tree where she was hiding.

Ning Tao suddenly cast his eyes to the roof of the lab, and a mass of colorful innate aura came into view. In the darkness, whenever someone appeared in Ning Tao’s vision when his eyes were in the state of looking, his body would be as obvious as a lantern to Ning Tao. The moment he saw the man on the roof, Ning Tao jumped up onto Jiang Hao’s back like a flea. Then he grabbed her waist and threw her off. Immediately, they jumped off the ground and fell sideways.

Poof!

Sparks burst from the ground where Jiang Hao had just stood, and cement fragments flew in all directions like shrapnel!

Bam!

Ning Tao’s back hit the concrete floor hard, and the shock and pain instantly swept over him. He didn’t fall to the ground alone. He was also carrying Jiang Hao’s weight. But it was a piece of cake for him. Almost at the same moment, his Niwan acupoint quivered and the spiritual power spread like ripples through his body. All the pain dissipated and he was at his best in that moment.

Before Jiang Hao could react, Ning Tao grabbed her more tightly in his arms, while his waist snapped into play sharply, making them roll to a tree on the other side of the road like a wheel.

Ning Tao and Jiang Hao had just been hiding when another bullet from a sniper rifle hit the concrete floor beside them, sending sparks flying.

Without Ning Tao’s explanation, Jiang Hao already knew what was going on. She flipped off Ning Tao, and in the process, her pistol was poking out of the tree trunk, ready to shoot the sniper on the roof. However, before she could pull the trigger, Ning Tao’s arm suddenly fell, pinning her hand and pistol to the ground.

A few tenths of a second later, a bullet shot the tree trunk and bounced off, sending sawdust flying!

Jiang Hao’s face was white and a cold sweat was breaking out on her forehead. Ning Tao had saved her three times in just a few seconds!

The sniper on the roof apparently had a low-light night vision goggles. Today’s most advanced low-light night vision goggles allowed people to see as if they were in daylight in the dark with only a quarter of the brightness of the starlight. It was dark here, but she and Ning Tao were in control of their enemies as if they were in the sun! The enemies had targeted her and Ning Tao. As long as she and Ning Tao showed part of themselves from behind the tree trunk, they would shoot without hesitation!

However, something worse happened.

The sound of running came from the lab, not one person, but a group of people. Someone rushed out of the door of the lab, someone jumping out of the windows on both sides, and then they surrounded them.

Jiang Hao couldn’t figure out how Ning Tao found the sniper, and could always save her before the enemy acted.

“You stay here and I’ll lure them away!” Jiang Hao had made her decision. Her hands and legs worked together to get up.

“Wait!” Perhaps out of anxiety, Ning Tao suddenly reached out and grabbed Jiang Hao’s waist, and his upper body leaned over Jiang Hao’s back to prevent her from getting up. His mouth went to Jiang Hao’s ear and he said, “I’ll tell you where they are. Can you shoot them?”

“Yes!” Jiang Hao answered firmly and then added, “But how do you know where they are?”

Ning Tao didn’t explain. He released Jiang Hao, quickly took off his shirt, crumpled it up, and threw it out from behind the tree.

Ping! Ping! Ping!

With a burst of fire from special guns equipped with silencers, the bullets smashed Ning Tao’s shirt into pieces!

“At the direction of 10:55, 1.9 meters high.” Ning Tao’s voice rang in Jiang Hao’s ear.

Jiang Hao was shocked and confused, but she reacted quickly. She immediately reached out her hand and fired a shot in the direction Ning Tao had told her.

Bang!

One masked militant fell flat on his back, his chest bursting with blood.

“At 10:45, 1.8 meters high.” Ning Tao gave new “data”.

Jiang Hao immediately pushed her hand down a bit, deflected the muzzle a bit, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Bang!

Another militant fell to the ground and was shot in the head!

“The left side is safe. The enemies in the middle and on the right side are in hiding. That sniper’s lying on the roof,” Ning Tao said in Jiang Hao’s ear.

With each of her shots hitting one, who dared expose himself to Jiang Hao’s firing range?

Jiang Hao was good at shooting, but Ning Tao’s directing was even better. The shooting statistics he gave her in the dark were accurate to “minute” and included the height of the target. A hardened sniper observer might not be able to do what he had done, because Ning Tao didn’t have any night vision equipment on his eyes!

All of a sudden Ning Tao gave Jiang Hao shooting statistics again. “Somebody’s moving on the right! At 2:09, 1.9 meters high.”

Jiang Hao reached out and fired a shot, but this time the bullet grazed the militant’s cheek, missing the target.

Ping! Ping! Ping!

Bullets rained down, tree trunks shaking, sawdust, earth, and dead leaves flying through the air. Some wood residue lodged in Ning Tao’s back and cut his skin. Jiang Hao’s situation was just as bad. Although she wore her T-shirt, in such a violent suppression of fire, her back also pierced with a lot of wood thorns, causing her white T-shirt to be stained with blood like blood-red flowers in the blink of an eye.

Crack! Crack…

The trunk snapped suddenly.

Jiang Hao swiftly grabbed Ning Tao, gathered her strength around her waist and rolled to the left with him.

Smash!

The tree that stopped nearly 100 bullets for Ning Tao and Jiang Hao broke off and crashed to the ground.

Whistle!

Another bullet from a sniper rifle came in and a piece of dirt flew off the ground.

Jiang Hao and Ning Tao stopped rolling. They were already behind another tree. The enemy on the right and in the middle did not stop firing. Bullets still rained down on them, making Jiang Hao afraid to put out her hand. At the same time, she was holding Ning Tao down to keep him from moving.

Ning Tao grew nervous, but not only because of the shooting, but also because of Jiang Hao. Her full breasts pressed against his chest, and she was sitting astride his waist. Their close contact gave him even more of an embarrassing reaction. Physiological reactions could sometimes occur without going through the brain.

Unaware of any changes in Ning Tao’s body, Jiang Hao said, “You shoot!”

Ning Tao was surprised and said, “I can’t shoot!”

Jiang Hao, however, shoved the pistol into Ning Tao’s right hand and said, “The thumb safty is on, so you can shoot when you pull the trigger. It will have a little bit of recoil, and you just have to hold on to it the second when you shoot.”

She said it briefly, but it was shooting people, after all. Ning Tao didn’t know what to do for a moment.

“Now, I’ll teach you to take the first shoot.” Jiang Hao got up from Ning Tao’s body. When Ning Tao rolled over on his stomach, she suddenly stuck behind him again, with her right arm overlapping with Ning Tao’s, and grabbed his right hand holding the pistol.
