Chapter 31 - The Mad Mage Team
Fallen Woods Forest.
Deep within an ant tunnel, over three hundred Level 10 Blood Ants were besieging one hundred and eight mage players around Level 10.
Not only were these players at a higher level, surpassing the commonly seen Level 6-7 players.
Their skills were also extremely powerful. Faced with the swarming Blood Ants, they showed no panic at all. Forming a powerful formation, they took turns releasing Explosive Flames, killing the Blood Ants.
However, before they could kill this group of Blood Ants, a mage player in blue robes would always be the first to cast an Explosive Flame.
Only after that would the hundred plus mage players methodically release their skills.
These one hundred and eight mage players belonged to the Twelve Gods’ God of Levels, Xia Dongli’s mage team.
They were his trump card for leveling up, the Mad Magic Team!
They were hired by the Dongli Club at a high salary, each a master of the mage class.
“Young Master, you discovered this ant tunnel leveling holy ground back during the closed beta. The Blood Ants here have low HP, come in large numbers, and give high experience. I’m sure in less than an hour, you’ll surpass A Silly Cutie and regain the top spot on the level rankings!”
Behind Xia Dongli, a forty to fifty year old player spoke excitedly as he looked at him.
“Naturally.” Xia Dongli put his arms around two beautiful female mages, a confident smile on his lips.
His Mad Magic Team was composed of all top-notch experts. When the Mythic new server opened, they had helped him break the server’s leveling record.
Within a single day, he reached Level 25, shocking all players and earning the undisputed title of the number one in levels.
Afterwards, he remained at the top of the level rankings all the way until The Great Wasteland game servers opened, never once surpassed by anyone.
To think that after coming to The Great Wasteland, he was actually caught up to by a nobody. This was simply a humiliation to him.
“I’m Level 15 now, leveling up around every half an hour. What level is A Silly Cutie at currently?”
Xia Dongli looked at his butler inquisitively.
“Young Master, no need to look. She’s definitely been surpassed already. I checked on her half an hour ago and she was only Level 14. In this short half hour, there’s no way she gained a level.”
Xia Dongli nodded in agreement.
“Indeed. I’ve observed her leveling speed. Based on my projections, she likely hired a 30-player leveling team and found a good leveling spot.”
Xia Dongli pinched the cheek of a beautiful female player, eliciting giggles, and continued, “If my guess is right, it should be… in Stone Forest.”
“The young master is truly brilliant as always!” The butler looked extremely impressed. “According to our intelligence, A Silly Cutie is indeed leveling up in Stone Forest and…”
“And what?” The corner of Xia Dongli’s mouth twitched coldly. “Don’t beat around the bush in front of me.”
The butler was instantly fearful. “Yes, yes, yes, this lowly one has learned his lesson. According to intel, this A Silly Cutie seems to have some connection with Du Ba Tianxia.”
“Dominating the World Guild?” The corner of Xia Dongli’s mouth twitched slightly. “Just a small guild ranked in the national top twenty. Where would they get any real power? Ah-Fu, your intel isn’t very accurate.”
“Huh?” Butler Ah-Fu’s expression changed, a fearful look on his face. “Young Master…”
“Enough.” Xia Dongli cut off his pleading. “I’m not blaming you. You may go.”
“Yes, young master.”
Xia Dongli waved the butler away, a look of amusement on his face.
“The esteemed Fist Sage, king of PvP, is also resorting to such petty tricks. Heh, let’s see. You’d go so far as to use a thirty-player leveling team to support a newbie, trying to drive me from my position in Twelve Gods…”
“But now, my Mad Magic Team has taken shape. Do you still think you can succeed?”
With a cold chuckle, Xia Dongli opened the rankings, wanting to see what level A Silly Cutie was stuck at now.
