Our own hell; lord of the death trial

They were covered in mud, their hair sticking to their faces as they walked to their destination. "So...how handsome was he? Was he like a six, or a ten?" Lily asked Emma who was smiling. Kai chuckled at the thought of the man crying for his dead bride, but she didn't say it out, she watched Lily who kept pestering Emma, and Hei Yue who wasn't into the story. She started laughing and suddenly stopped "wait" she exclaimed, shock written on her face. "Are we dead?" She asked pausing, they didnt seem to care about her question, and kept on walking. Emma was watching Yue discreetly, wondering what he was always thinking, he turned to look at her and smiled, walking forward, as he continued parting the grass. Lily closed her eyes as water splashed on her face from beyond the trees, she brought her hand to her face and wiped it away. She screamed as soon as she saw her palm was red. "Blo..blood...bloood...its blood" she screamed her whole body shaking with fear. Hei Yue noticed the dismembered parts of peoples body, 'it was done by a very sharp blade' he observed. Emma walked forward, and stood beside Yue who had just finished inspecting the bodies that were cut in half and hidden in the bushes. "I know this guy" Kai muttered to her self, she looked up quickly from the body, as bile rose up her throat. Lily threw up into the bushes while Emma held her hair back, she rinsed her mouth and washed her face with the water from her bottle, she held onto Emma's hand begging her not to leave her side as soon as she saw that most of the leaves and trees were covered in blood drops. Yue heard the faint sound of blade swishing quickly in the air and knew it was not far from where they were. The sound grew louder, coming closer to where they stood. "We will have to crawl" he said lying down on the floor quickly. He looked at Lily who was stopping Emma from following suit, and knew that none of them heard it. He grunted in frustration and pulled Emma by the hand , bringing both her and Lily down. "The blade is swishing this way" he said as Kai followed suit, "we would go one after the other." He went first, dragging his body through the floor, not minding being pricked or injured. It was like a different world of its own, the swishing blade being the welcoming entrance. He saw the whole beach covered in different types of obstacles, all at once, "hmm" he scoffed, as he stood up from the floor and dusted his hands "another one."

Lily kept pulling Emma back, pleading with her for them to return. Emma pushed Lily off her hands as the blade hung over them, swishing so low to the ground, it width was so wide that made it impossible to jump over. She dragged herself through it, her heart in her throat as she went through the mist, but she smiled as soon as she saw Yue standing at the other end alive.
