Chapter 24: Parting Ways in E-Rantel
Once Aurelius had eaten dinner and talked with everyone, he spent the night tossing around Narberal. Of course, he used anti-spying barriers this time.
The following morning, as everyone gathered once again, Nfirea also appeared, but with dark circles beneath his eyes and a grief-stricken face. It was obvious that he hadn't slept a wink, his mind filled by the events of the previous day, where his beloved was stolen away right before his very eyes, leaving him powerless and consumed by despair.
Despite his turmoil, though, Nfirea honestly answered Aurelius's questions about the Wise King of the Forest, not because he was an honest guy but because he knew that if he was caught lying, his end would be extremely tragic.
He didn't have the guts.
Though devastated, Nfirea knew not to confront Aurelius about Enri, and he could only clench his fists and suppress his anger.
Naturally, his restraint did not go unnoticed by Aurelius, who inwardly sneered at Nfirea.
'What a spineless hogu,'
He was extremely disappointed by Nfirea's lack of resistance or defiance. And since it was no fun here anymore, he decided to ignore Nfirea and focus on his own plans.
'I should get going now to get myself a pet hamster.'
Like it was in the original, Aurelius also wanted to get that big Djungarian Hamster, aka the Wise King of the Forest, as his pet, which would not only increase his reputation as an adventurer but also help him get a good experimental subject.
So, after telling everyone about his intention to catch the Wise King of the Forest, he, alone with Narberal, left for the forest where the Wise King of the Forest lived.
Naturally, the process was smooth sailing. Aurelius and Nabe soon met Aura, who had already located the big hamster on Aurelius's orders.
Following that, she soon lured the big hamster to Aurelius, who subdued it with his mere [Aure of Supreme Level 1], made it his pet, and named it the same as in the original.
"From now on, your name is Hamsuke. Remember it well."
"Huh!"
Hamsuke, in a high mood, followed Aurelius and Nabe out of the forest.
…
The members of Swords of Darkness and Nfirea looked at Aurelius. They couldn't believe their eyes as they saw the Wise King of the Forest sitting meekly next to Aurelius.
"Be at ease, everyone. I have subdued it, so it will not lash out wildly and hurt people."
Then he approached the Wise King of the Forest and made a show of patting its furry body.
Aurelius's words and actions shocked everyone. They trembled in fear at the sight of the Wise King of the Forest, but were more in awe that Aurelius had won the battle and made it his subordinate.
"It is as milord says; this Wise King of the Forest is loyal to milord, and is milord's faithful servant. This one swears to milord that this one will not inconvenience thee, fine gentlemen!"
Seeing the Wise King of the Forest display its loyalty to Aurelius, the group let go of their guard.
After some more admiration and chatting, they got out of the forest safely. Then, after walking for a while, as they reached Carne Village again and met Enri, Nfirea stopped his steps and looked at Aurelius.
"Mr. Lucifer."
"Um, yes?"
"Eh, please take care of Enri."
"Of course. You too must always devote yourself to Enri."
"Huhh...?"
Feeling weird about those words, he looked up at Aurelius and noticed the strange smile on his face. He immediately understood that it was a mockery of himself. Nonetheless, Nfirea couldn't do anything about it. He felt his heart crushed under that invisible pressure that Aurelius exuded.
So, all Nfirea could do was turn around and bid farewell quickly to Enri.
"Tell me if something happens again. I will try my best to protect this village."
"I will, thank you."
In a hazy mood, Nfirea lowered his head. Now Enri had nothing to do with himself. She liked to have sex with Aurelius, and Nfirea himself was left with nothing but suffering.
He wanted to quickly get out of Carne Village and return to E-Rantel.
Aurelius secretly laughed at Nfirea's shrunken figure.
But before leaving the Carne Village, Aurelius met and talked with Enri for a while. He told her that a woman dressed as a maid would come to pick her up and that she should follow her and stay in the abode where she lived.
Enri nodded vigorously and let Aurelius go with a little regret.
…...
The party had spent a night outside on the way to Carne Village, as well as another night within the village itself. After that, they left Carne Village for the city of E-Rantel in the morning, and thus their journey of three days and two nights came to an end. It was almost nightfall by the time they returned to the Fortress City.
At the entrance of an alley from the main street, Aurelius's party stopped.
Obviously, stopping in the middle of a busy thoroughfare would be a big hindrance, but nobody dared complain. This was because nobody dared go near Aurelius.
Everyone walking past on the street seemed to be looking in Aurelius's direction—no, they were staring at him—and whispering to each other.
The sounds of their chatter filtered into his ears, and he could hear them discussing matters in tones of praise, surprise, or outright fear.
People were astonished to see the wise king of the forest, Hamsuke, advancing majestically.
How could someone ride such a fearsome and dignified beast?
Even though Aurelius didn't agree with their aesthetics, he had to agree on one point: Hamsuke's fur was indeed comfortable to sit on.
"Since we're back in town, it seems the assignment is over."
"Indeed, you're right; the request is at an end. Then... while I've already prepared the arranged remuneration, I still have to pay the bonus we negotiated in the forest. Could you come to my family's store with me?"
Nfirea's wagon was filled with herbs.
"Then Lucifer-san must go to the Guild from now on!"
"Is that so... Did you say that if someone brings a monster to the city, they have to register with the guild?"
"It's troublesome, but it can't be helped."
"Well, we wiped out those Ogres and other monsters too, so how about it? Want to all go to the guild together?"
"Hmm—no, I think not. Lucifer-san basically did all the heavy lifting for this job, so we should go to Nfirea-san's house first to help with the chores and unload the herbs. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to accept getting the same fees as you, Lucifer-san."
The Swords of Darkness nodded as Peter spoke, and Nfirea politely added:
"There's no need to trouble everyone..."
"Well, you did agree to pay us a bonus, so consider this a free service on our part."
After hearing Peter's lighthearted statement, Nfirea politely replied:
"Then, when you come to our store for potions, we'll give you a discount."
"Nothing would please us more. Then, Lucifer-san, please head to the guild first, and meet us at Nfirea-san's home afterwards. We'll proceed directly to Nfirea-san's home, take care of the chores, and then go to the guild to take care of paperwork. Unfortunately, we'll have to trouble you to come again tomorrow because we can only claim the bounty from the Ogres then... We'll meet at the same time as the last time we met you."
"Understood."
Aurelius nodded slightly.
Riding on Hamsuke, he led Naberal and parted ways with Nfirea and the members of Swords of Darkness, heading for the guild.
At this point, Narberal leaned in towards him and asked:
"Au-Lucifer Sama, is it okay to leave them be? Can we trust them?"
"It doesn't really matter. They won't survive today anyway."
Narberal tilted her head in response to Aurelius's words. She couldn't understand how a lot would happen tonight.
Abduction of Nfirea.
Death of everyone in Swords of Darkness.
Everything would unfold according to the original.
Of course, the ending would be completely different, though.
'As expected, this method will also make it simple for me to get that bitch, Clementine. Tonight, I'll rewrite her destiny to be my eternal Ona Hole. Her future shall be nothing but to cry out in pain as she gives birth to my offspring, forever. Hahahaha….'
The time had come to get a new bitch and taste a new pussy.
'I wonder how tight your pussy will be, Clementine, Hehehe.'
