Chapter 71: Fight with the Female Ninjas
Crack!
Before Zhou Lang could finish his sentence, the door suddenly opened, and two young women entered. These women were, of course, Yamamoto Yuki and Muto Yukiko.
“Who are you?”
Zhao Xiaorou asked, assuming the two were from the Shangguan family. She immediately got up and blocked the doorway. She knew she had locked the door, so these women must have broken the lock to get in. They were not friendly.
“Which one of you is Zhou Lang?”
Yamamoto Yuki asked, her eyes sweeping across the room as she spoke in somewhat broken Mandarin. Her tone was cold and arrogant, completely disregarding Zhao Xiaorou.
“Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear me ask who you are?”
Zhao Xiaorou was furious that the two women were treating her as if she were invisible. She stepped forward and threw a punch aimed at Yamamoto Yuki’s jaw.
“Foolish woman. Is this all you’ve got?”
Yamamoto Yuki didn’t move, but Muto Yukiko sprang forward, catching Zhao Xiaorou’s hand.
Zhao Xiaorou’s face flushed red as she struggled, but she couldn’t break free from Muto Yukiko’s grip.
“Xiaorou, you’re no match for them. Step back,” Zhou Lang said, standing up after witnessing the scene.
However, Zhao Xiaorou was unwilling to back down. She lifted her knee and aimed at Muto Yukiko’s abdomen.
“You’re courting death!”
Muto Yukiko swiftly elbowed Zhao Xiaorou in the chin, knocking her unconscious.
Zhao Xiaorou’s body went limp and collapsed to the floor.
This surprised Zhou Lang. If these two women were from the Shangguan family, they wouldn’t have struck Zhao Xiaorou so ruthlessly. After all, she was supposed to be taken back to marry Shangguan Yu, the young master of the Shangguan family. Zhou Lang had briefly let his guard down, which led to Zhao Xiaorou being knocked out by Muto Yukiko.
“These two aren’t from the Shangguan family!”
Zhou Lang realized he had misjudged the situation and quickly stood up.
At the same time, Muto Yukiko pulled out a dark, razor-sharp dagger and moved to slash Zhao Xiaorou’s throat, showing no hesitation in her intent to kill.
Swish!
At that critical moment, a flash of sword light appeared, and a three-foot sword materialized in Zhou Lang’s hand. The sword moved with lightning speed, slicing toward Muto Yukiko’s wrist.
The wrist is a vital point, and if Muto Yukiko hadn’t withdraw her attack, her hand might not have been severed, but the tendons in her wrist would certainly have been cut.
Aware of the danger, Muto Yukiko immediately pulled back.
In a blur, Zhou Lang moved forward and caught Zhao Xiaorou before she hit the ground, pulling her behind him. The sword Zhou Lang had just used was the Heaven and Earth Sword, one of seven flying swords passed down through his family. Although he hadn’t yet reached the Foundation Establishment stage and couldn’t control the sword with his mind, he could still summon it from the family heirloom coin for combat. The sword was sharp enough to cut through iron like mud.
Muto Yukiko was about to attack Zhou Lang again, but Yamamoto Yuki stopped her. Yamamoto Yuki had a keen eye and knew better.
“I don’t know who you two are, but you came in here and immediately tried to kill someone?”
Zhou Lang asked as he laid Zhao Xiaorou on the sofa. The Heaven and Earth Sword flashed and disappeared back into the family coin.
“You’re Zhou Lang, aren’t you?”
Yamamoto Yuki asked.
“Yamamoto Hiroshi died by your hand, didn’t he?”
“You’re from the Iga clan?”
Zhou Lang finally realized that these two dangerous women were not from the Shangguan family. He was curious how these two women from Japan had managed to find him so quickly.
“That’s right. This is our Iga clan’s leader, Miss Yamamoto Yuki. Zhou Lang, you dared to kill our leader’s cousin. You’re as good as dead!”
“Yamamoto Hiroshi tried to ambush me. He deserved to die. And you have the nerve to come after me?”
Zhou Lang chuckled.
“That’s none of your concern. After we kill you, there won’t be a single trace left. The police won’t even know you were killed by us,” Yamamoto Yuki said coldly as if Zhou Lang were already a dead man in her eyes.
“Alright then. If you think you can kill me, come at me together,” Zhou Lang said with a faint smile. This was his first time facing ninjas in real life, but he was incredibly confident.
He could tell at a glance that Yamamoto Yuki was at the peak of the Martial Expert level, while Muto Yukiko was only at the Advanced Martial Fighter level. Against him, they had no reason to be so arrogant. Zhou Lang was now at the peak of the Qi Refining Stage. Even if ten martial arts masters attacked him, he’d be able to eliminate them with ease.
“How arrogant!”
Yamamoto Yuki shouted, her figure flickering as she lunged at Zhou Lang. Almost simultaneously, a dark dagger appeared in her hand, gleaming coldly as it shot toward Zhou Lang’s throat—a swift, lethal strike.
She was a master of long-blade techniques, famous in Japan for her swordsmanship. In formal duels, she would use a long sword. But when she was out for assassination, she preferred short weapons and hidden weapons, which were easier to carry—hence why ninjas typically used short blades.
Zhou Lang remained still until the dagger was less than three inches from his throat. Then, suddenly, he moved.
He extended two fingers and caught Yamamoto Yuki’s dagger between them.
His fingers were like sharp scissors, and the exceptionally sharp dagger snapped cleanly in two!
Yamamoto Yuki was shocked. She immediately withdrew and attempted to flee.
As she turned, she flicked her arm, releasing a cloud of hidden weapons toward Zhou Lang.
The cloud contained at least dozens of projectiles, covering a radius of about two meters. In such a confined space like the living room, it would be nearly impossible to dodge them all.
But Zhou Lang didn’t move. The projectiles stopped in midair, suspended as if frozen.
Ding ding ding ding!
The hidden weapons fell to the floor like rain.
Seeing this, Yamamoto Yuki was terrified. She finally realized what a powerful opponent she had encountered. Although she had many secret killing techniques, her chances of killing Zhou Lang were now almost zero.
“Yukiko, retreat!”
Yamamoto Yuki shouted decisively to Muto Yukiko.
Zhou Lang had casually snapped Yamamoto Yuki’s dagger and effortlessly neutralized her hidden weapons. Muto Yukiko was already in shock. Only when her leader called out did she snap out of it. She immediately dashed for the door, ready to flee.
“If you’ve come, you should stay,” Zhou Lang said calmly. As he tapped his foot lightly on the coffee table, two glass cups flew through the air.
Bang! Bang!
The glass cups shot toward Yamamoto Yuki and Muto Yukiko, hitting them both behind the knees. The cups shattered on the floor, and the two female ninjas collapsed.
They tried to get up and escape but soon realized that their legs were completely powerless. Zhou Lang had struck the acupoints in their legs with the flying cups, making it nearly impossible for them to stand for the time being.
