Chapter 145: Chapter 145

**Chapter 145: Undermining Each Other**

"Uh..." Ah Yin's lovely face froze instantly.

The hidden murderous intent behind Bo Saixi's gentle smile made her shrink back nervously. She realized she couldn't afford to offend this sister.

While they were chatting, Bo Saixi's eyebrows suddenly twitched. She turned her luminous blue eyes toward Liu Erlong's room, her lips curving into a smile.

"My husband is finally willing to come out of Erlong's room," she said.

Hearing this, Ah Yin also glanced in that direction, but the view of Liu Erlong's room was blocked by the courtyard wall.

Bo Saixi's observation was not based on sight; rather, it stemmed from her immense spiritual power, which told her Zhao Ling was on the move. Moments later, Zhao Ling appeared in the courtyard.

Seeing him, both women rose from their seats, hurried toward him, and threw themselves into his arms. Zhao Ling embraced them warmly, one arm around each slender waist, and kissed them gently on their foreheads.

"Yin'er, Xi'er, I haven't seen you in days. Did you miss your husband?"

Bo Saixi immediately replied, her voice filled with exaggerated sweetness.

"Of course! As they say, one day apart feels like three years. Xi'er hasn't seen her husband in nearly ten years, and she's missed you so much!"

Ah Yin looked at her sister in disbelief. What's with this sudden flattery?

Just a few days ago, when Bo Saixi had been bedridden, she had complained nonstop about their husband being overly demanding. And now, here she was, singing his praises?

Bo Saixi, feeling Ah Yin's disdainful gaze, blushed slightly and buried her face in Zhao Ling's chest, trying to avoid further scrutiny.

Zhao Ling, amused by Bo Saixi's sudden affection, turned his attention to Ah Yin. A mischievous smile played on his lips.

"Yin'er, what about you? Did you miss your husband?"

Startled, Ah Yin nodded frantically.

"Yes, of course! Yin'er missed her husband the most! For the past two days, I couldn't eat or sleep. Even while playing chess with Sister Saixi, I was so distracted that I made careless moves and ended up at a disadvantage on the board. Husband, Yin'er missed you so much that she was about to cry."

Bo Saixi was stunned. What?

Just moments ago, Ah Yin had been gleefully capturing her pieces during their chess game. It was only after Bo Saixi focused that she managed to turn the game in her favor. Yet here was Ah Yin, claiming she had been losing because she was lovesick!

Bo Saixi raised her head, her eyes filled with contempt, but Zhao Ling, moved by Ah Yin's pitiful expression, hugged her tightly and kissed her lips. Stroking her hair, he comforted her.

"Don't cry, Yin'er. Your husband loves you the most. Be good."

Ah Yin smiled sweetly, her eyes shining with delight.

"My husband is so kind. Yin'er likes you the most."

Nestling against Zhao Ling's chest, she shot a triumphant look at Bo Saixi, mouthing silently, 'Crying children get the candy. Sister Xi'er, I'm just as clever as you, aren't I?'

Bo Saixi clenched her jaw in irritation and began plotting her next move. 'I can't let Yin'er outshine me. I must come up with a way to win back my husband's favor.'

Her thoughts turned suspicious. 'Isn't this the same Yin'er who pushed me toward Zhao Ling in the first place? Why is she suddenly competing for his attention now?'

The realization hit her like lightning, and Bo Saixi's expression darkened. 'She's doing this on purpose. She's trying to make me compete with her, knowing I'll lose every time. That way, I'll be stuck in bed while she gets to rest. How devious!'

Ah Yin, oblivious to these thoughts, continued basking in Zhao Ling's affection. Bo Saixi smirked and decided to strike back.

"Husband," Bo Saixi said sweetly, "do you remember how Yin'er ran away when you were carrying Sister Long'er a few days ago? No matter how much you called her, she pretended not to hear you and bolted like lightning. And now she dares to say she loves you the most?"

Ah Yin froze, glaring at Bo Saixi in disbelief. 'Is this sister really throwing me under the bus like this?'

Two could play at this game. Ah Yin raised her head and shot back, "Sister Xi'er, how dare you accuse me? Aren't you the one who slammed your doors and windows shut when Husband passed by with Sister Long'er in his arms? You didn't even say hello! That's totally disrespectful to our husband. I strongly condemn you!"

Bo Saixi flushed with embarrassment.

"That's not true! I... I didn't know Husband was outside. It was late, so I locked up and went to bed. Don't make baseless accusations!"

Her protests only made Zhao Ling chuckle, thoroughly entertained by their bickering. But deep down, Bo Saixi was panicking. If Zhao Ling decided to punish her for this, her situation might soon resemble Liu Erlong's...
