Chapter 192: Chapter 48: Total Annihilaption
After winning a Plain Badge, Mew and her friends are at the Pokemon Center having some breakfast. Mew and the others are having a good time having their breakfast as they talk about yesterday's battle.
"That was a great battle yesterday, Mew," Tomo says.
"Primeape is really strong," Jen says.
"Thanks," Mew says.
Misty turns to Molly, "So Molly, what do you think of witnessing your first Gym Battle?"
"It was amazing," Molly says with a smile.
Then says, "But it must be very hard to challenge a gym leader."
"It is, but it was also worth once you win your battle. The badges you get proved that you've won the gym battle, but it also proves how well you and your Pokemon did," Mew says.
"I can't wait until I'm old enough to qualify to become an official trainer, and go on my own journey," Molly says.
"Me too," Jen says.
"Me three," Tomo says.
Brock laughs, "Sounds like you three have become quite eager to become official Pokemon trainers."
"We sure are!" The three little ones happily say.
Then Tomo says, "By the way Mew, that was an awesome attack Primeape did. The way he used it to defeat Miltank was awesome."
"I have to admit, that was an unusual move. I've never seen it before," Misty says.
Mew says, "Yeah. It was a pretty amazing attack. Of course, I've never seen that move either. I've decided to do a little research to learn more about that move."
"You said that it's called Rage Fist, right?" Brock asks.
"That's right. Doing a little reading and researching, it turns out it's a signature move that only Primeape can use, and my Primeape is able to use that attack," Mew says.
"Really? Molly asks.
"That's so cool!" Tomo says.
"It sure is, but here's the thing. I was able to do a little research about the Paldea Region and the Pokemon living there, like some of the Pokemon we have," Mew says.
"Really? What does it say?" Molly asks.
"According to research. Once a Primeape uses Rage Fist, it's able to use the attack. Once a Primeape uses Rage fist 20 times, it will evolve," Mew says.
This is a shock to everyone.
"Really?!" Jen asks, shocked.
Misty says, "Primeape can actually evolve."
"Yeah. When Primeape is able to use Rage Fist 20 times, it will evolve to a Pokemon that originated in the Paldea Region, called Annihilape," Mew says.
"Wow. So if Primeape uses the attack more times, then it will be able to evolve," Brock says.
"I sure can't wait for this to happen," Tomo says.
Molly asks, "What does it look like?"
Mew brings out her Pokedex to show a picture of Annihilape. It's a simian creature with a round body that is situated on two thick, black legs. The Pokémon is covered in shaggy gray fur that streams upward and seems to evaporate. Unlike Primeape and Mankey, this creature's skin is a dark gray. The metal shackle on its left arm is broken while it appears to have no shackle at all on the right arm. Annihilape has three fingered hands and two-toed feet. There are multiple throbbing veins on the left side of its face. Its eyes are red as if the creature were in an extreme rage.
Then Dexter says, "Annihilape, the Rage Monkey Pokemon and the evolved form of Primeape. A Fighting and Ghost Type. It imbues its fists with the power of the rage that it kept hidden in its heart. Opponents struck by these imbued fists will be shattered to their core."
"Wow. It looks really strong," Jen says.
"It looks kind of scary," Molly says.
"Primeape is going to turn into that?" Misty asks.
"It sure is," Mew says.
"It will be cool if we can witness Primeape evolve," Brock says.
"Me too," Mew says.
As the group talks, Team Rocket is sitting nearby and has heard the conversation.
"Did you hear that?" Meowth asks.
"Yes. Whoever thought that a Primeape can evolve into an unusual Pokemon from this Paldean Pokemon," Jessie says.
"That would be a sight to see if the twerpette is able to evolve that Pig Monkey Pokemon into a rare kind of Pokemon," James says.
Then Jessie has an idea, "You know, that gives me an idea."
"What is it?" Meowth asks.
"Well, the twerpette with her Pikachu and Eevee said that Primeape will be able to evolve into a Paldean Pokemon after using this Rage Fist 20 times," Jessie says.
"Yes. That is what she said," James says.
"What about it?" Meowth asks.
"Well then, perhaps we can assist the twerpette and help her Primeape evolve," Jessie says.
"How do we do that?" Meowth asks.
"Well, here's the plan," Jessie says.
Jessie whispers to James and Meowth about the plan on how they can get Mew's Primeape to evolve. Hearing the idea, James and Meowth grin.
James says, "It's a perfect plan."
"And then, we'll be able to bring back a very rare Pokemon to the boss," Meowth says.
"Let's get started right away," Jessie says.
With that, Team Rocket sneaks off before Mew and the others can notice. Back at the table, Mew and the others begin to discuss what they plan to do next.
"So Mew, what do we do now?" Molly asks.
"Well, I think what we can do is try to find out where the next gym is," Mew says.
Brock looks at the guidebook and reads, "According to the guidebook, the next gym is at Ecruteak City."
"Ecruteak City, huh," Mew says.
Looking at the guidebook and the map, Brock says, "It will take awhile to get there, but there it will take a while to get there."
"But I'm sure there are a lot of different places to see," Misty says.
"And so many different Pokemon as well," Mew adds.
"And the many things we can do," Tomo says.
"Sounds like an adventure," Molly says happily.
"Yeah," Jen says.
"So then, what do you guys wanna do?" Misty asks.
Mew says, "Well, maybe we can go get some supplies, ingredients, and other essentials for our journey. It's going to be a bit of a long one to Ecruteak City."
"And there's still more of Goldenrod City we've haven't seen yet," Misty says.
"Let's finish breakfast and then we can start getting everything ready to continue our journey," Brock says.
After having breakfast, Mew and the others are already at the grocery stores to search for groceries for the journey.
"There are a lot of different foods and drinks," Molly says.
"And there are a lot of different fruits, vegetables, and other products for us to make," Brock says.
"I agree. And I'm sure we can come up with some good food for the Pokemon," Mew says.
Misty brings a cart with some of the stuff and asks, "Do you think that's enough?"
"I think that's plenty," Brock says.
"So where do we go next?" Jen asks.
"It's a good idea to get some medication, supplies for the first aid kit, potions, and healing medicines for the Pokemon as well," Mew says.
"Don't forget about getting the Pokemon food for the Pokemon," Misty says.
"Good idea," Mew says.
While Mew and the others continue to shop for supplies and other needs, Team Rocket is somewhere downtown as they are busy building something that will help them capture Mew's Primeape.
James asks, "Jessie, do you think that it will work?"
"This will definitely work," Jessie says.
"Just so I remember, what exactly is the plan?" Meowth asks.
"It's very simple," Jessie says.
And with that, Jessie explains her plan, "Our special attraction, Team Rocket's Primeape Punching Bag Machine. When we see the twerps, we'll tell them that we're testing a special game for Pokemon. We'll convince her to have her Primeape use this Rage Fist on the Punching Bag. Unknown to the twerps, the machine is rigged so it will never move. Behind the machine, it will count on how many times Primeape hits. Once it reaches twenty, Primeape will evolve into this uh…"
"I think the twerpette said it's called a Annihilape from this Paldean Region. Sounds like a cool place," Meowth says.
"Uh right," Jessie says. "Anyway, once Primeape evolves, the machine will launch a steel constructed net that not even Annihilape will be able to break. And then we'll take it and deliver it to the boss."
"That plan sounds brilliant," James says.
"Yeah. If we pull this off, then we'll be able to give the boss a newly discovered Pokemon, and we'll finally get a promotion," Meowth says.
"And we'll finally get the respect we deserve," Jessie happily says.
Then says, "But it won't work if we don't get the machine done in time."
"That's true. Last I heard, the twerps are getting supplies, so they'll be certain to come to this area once they're done," James says.
"Then let's get this machine down and capture a new Pokemon for the boss," Meowth says.
"Right," Jessie and James reply.
Time has passed, Mew and the others have finished with their shopping, and are ready to head back to the Pokemon Center.
"I think we got more than enough for our journey," Mew says.
"Yeah. This will last us for weeks, maybe a month," Brock says.
"Or at least until we get to Ecruteak City," Mew says.
"I think so," Molly says.
Then Jen asks, "Can we get some lunch?"
"Sure. I think we can grab some food after we get back to the Pokemon Center," Misty says.
Suddenly, Mew and the others hear something, "Yamper!"
"Paw!" Another voice calls out.
The group turns to see two Pokemon next to Molly, taking an interest.
The first Pokemon is a quadrupedal, canine Pokémon. It has a brown body with yellow fluff around its neck, resembling a collar, and yellow highlights around its eyes. It has a yellow bolt-shaped tail and a heart-shaped pattern on its rear. Its four feet, underside, and parts of its face are white. Its ears have a light green and yellow color on the inside. It also has a small yellow nose.
The second Pokemon is a stout, bipedal, rodent-like Pokémon. Its fur is almost entirely light orange, with tan colorations on its forepaws, snout, and long, fluffy tail, and green on the insides of its ears. Its face has beady brown eyes, a tiny nose, and yellow electric sacs on its cheeks. It has tufts of fur on its forehead and near its ears. It has five fingers on its forelimbs which are considerably large, and stretches down to its tiny feet, forepaws contain yellow pads that turn teal-blue when releasing electricity. It uses these paw pads for its signature fighting technique, where it simultaneously strikes and zaps foes with its forepaws.
Molly smiles and says, "Hello. I'm Molly."
"Yamper," The dog Pokmon says.
And the rodent Pokemon says, "Pawmo."
"They're cute," Jen says.
"What Pokemon are they?" Misty asks.
"Let's see," Mew says, and takes out her Pokedex.
She points her Pokedex towards the dog Pokemon, and Dexter says, "Yamper, the Puppy Pokemon. An Electric Type. This Pokémon is very popular as a herding dog in the Galar region. As it runs, it generates electricity from the base of its tail."
Then Mew points to the second Pokemon, and Dexter says, "Pawmo, the Mouse Pokemon. An Electric and Fighting Type. Pawmo uses a unique fighting technique in which it uses its forepaws to strike foes and zap them with electricity from its paw pads simultaneously. Pawmo's main habitat is located in the Paldea Region."
"Wow. We got to meet another Paldean Pokemon," Misty says.
"And if I remember, Yamper's place of origin is in the Galar Region," Mew says.
"I wonder what they're doing here?" Brock asks.
Soon, the Yamper and Pawmo walk to Molly's legs and begin to nuzzle her.
"Aww, they like you, Molly," Misty says.
"Maybe they want you to catch them?" Jen asks.
Molly turns to Yamper and Pawmo, "You both want to be my friends."
Yamper happily replies, "Yamper."
"Pawmo," Pawmo says, raising his paw with a smile
"Well, I guess that answers your questions," Mew says.
Molly happily pets Yamper as Pawmo climbs on Molly's shoulder.
"Well then, I guess it's official," Misty says.
"And you'll someday have more Pokemon on your team.
Suddenly, someone calls out, "Excuse me, Miss? The one with the Pikachu and Eevee on her shoulders!"
Mew and her friends come to a stop and turn to see the punching bag machine. And of course, standing right beside the machine is Team Rocket dressed in their disguise. Jessie and James dressed as business wonders while Meowth is dressed like a normal person with a brown haired wig and glasses.
"Do you suppose we can trouble you with a little help?" James asks.
"Um sure. What is it?" Mew asks.
"Well dear, we're the Head of PokeGames, and we're testing a game for our special arcade for Pokemon. It's called the Pokemon Punching Bag Machine," Jessie says.
"Pokemon?" Jen says, confused.
"Punching Bag?" Molly says, confused.
Tomo is just as confused. "Machine?"
"You are correct. This is a special game we designed for Fighting Type Pokemon," James says.
Then Jessie asks, "Do you have any fighting Types that would be our test subject? We highly recommend good fighting types. For example, perhaps a Primeape, Lucario, Hitmonchan, or something like that."
"Well…" Mew says.
She then brings out one of her Pokeballs, "Well, I actually have a Primeape."
"That will do nicely. And if you managed to punch this punching bag, you'll win a prize," James says.
"Okay," Mew says.
Then tosses her Pokeball, "Come on out, Primeape."
And with that Mew lets Primeape out of his Pokeball.
Mew turns to Primeape, "Hey Primeape, you wanna try out this Punching Bag Machine Game. If you're able to punch that punching bag, you can win a prize."
"Primeape," (Sure) Primeape says.
"Thank you," Jessie says.
"We really appreciate it," James says.
Then Meowth says, "By the way, you wouldn't happen to know any good attacks that use its fist."
"Yes. Primeape also just learned a new attack," Mew says.
"How would you like to use that attack at the punching bag?" Jessie asks.
"I'm sure that whatever this attack can do, it will be strong enough to punch that Punching Bag Machine," James says.
"Just give it a shot," Meowth says.
"Alright," Mew says.
Then turns to Primeape and says, "Alright Primeape, use Rage Fist!"
Primeape then begins to use Rage Fist and strikes at it with a hard amount of force. However, the punching bag is revealed to not budge. Unknown to Mew, there is a counter on the back of the machine, and the screen shows '1' on it.
"That's weird," Mew says.
"That's okay. This is the point of the machine, it's good to hit as hard as you can," Jessie says.
"You can hit on it multiple times if you like," James says.
Then Meowth says with encouragement, "Give it another shot!"
Mew turns to Primeape, "Alright Primeape, give it another shot."
Primeape then begins to use Rage Fist. This time he manages to use the attack four times. Increasing the amount to '5' However, to Mew and Primeape's confusion, the punching bag attached to the machine wouldn't move.
"Looks like the punching bag is stronger than it appears," James says.
"How about you give it another whack," Jessie says.
Frustrated and annoyed, Primeape continues to use Rage Fist and is growing even more frustrated after every hit. Everyone is starting to get worried on how annoyed and frustrated Primeape is as he uses each Rage Fist. The counter continues: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10… the striking at the punching bag from Primeape uses Rage Fist with all his might.
Misty turns to Mew, "Uh Mew, maybe now will be a good time to get Primeape to stop."
"I think you're right. Primeape is going to tire himself out if he continues," Brock says.
"I think you're right," Mew says.
Mew then walks to Primeape and says, "It's okay Primeape. It's okay if you can't hit it. You don't want to tire yourself out."
However, Primeape refuses and says, "Prime Prime! Primeape Primeape Prime Primeape Primeape Primeape! Prim Prime Primeape!" (No way! If I quit now, it will feel like I let this stupid machine beat me! I'm going to keep punching it until it breaks!)
Primeape then continues to use Rage Fist on the machine.
"What did Primeape say?" Jen asks.
"Primeape refuses to give up until he breaks the machine. He feels that if he stops, he'll feel like he's letting the machine beat him," Mew says.
"Melo," (Oh my.) Meloetta says.
Pikachu then says, "Pika Pikachu," (Talk about stubborn.)
"Eevee Eevee. Vee Eevee Eevee Eevee Vee Vee," I agree. I've never seen Primeape like this before.)
Meanwhile the counter continues counting Primeape's punches: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19…
Team Rocket notices the counter and snicker.
"We're almost there," James whispers.
"Just one more punch, and…" Meowth says.
"Goodbye Primeape and hello Annihilape," Jessie says.
Finally, Primeape uses all his energy and anger and performs a very powerful Rage Fist, and finally, he's able to punch the punching bag over as the counter reaches '20'.
Primeape takes deep breaths from exhaustion and is victorious.
"Wow Primeape, you really threw all your punches at that machine," Mew says.
"Prime Prime Primeape," (Maybe so, but it's worth it.) Primeape says.
Suddenly, Primeape begins to glow and his shape is starting to change.
"Wow," Molly says, amazed.
"Primeape is starting to evolve!" Tomo says, surprised.
Soon, Primeape has fully evolved into Annihilape.
"Primeape…" Mew says, surprised.
Before Mew and the others can reach, a steel metal net is launched out of the machine and soon captures Annihilape, and pulls him away.
"Hey!" Mew cries out.
"What's going on?" Molly asks.
"What are you doing?!" Brock demands.
Soon, the three begin laughing and soon begin the Team Rocket motto.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble, Primeape has thrown a punch!
James:
Now make it double, it's evolution is just the touch!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation!
James:
To unite all people within our nation!
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above!
Soon, Jessie removes her disguise.
Jessie:
Jessie!
Then James takes off his disguise.
James:
James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!
Meowth removes his disguise.
Meowth:
Meowth, dat's right!
"Team Rocket!" Misty says, shocked and angry.
"You guys tricked us!" Mew says, furious.
"That's right. We happen to hear your conversation about Primeape being able to use a powerful attack and can evolve into Annihilape," Jessie says.
"And we thought that if we use a punching bag machine to get Primeape to use Rage Fist 20 times we can get Primeape to evolve," James says.
Meowth laughs, "Ha ha ha ha! And once Primeape evolves into Annihilape, we have a chance to capture a brand new Pokemon and bring it to our boss!"
"I'm not going to let you take him!" Mew angrily says.
"Too bad, we captured Annihilape fair and square," Jessie says.
"And we'll be taking it away to become a super Pokemon for Team Rocket," James says.
Soon, Team Rocket laughs in triumph. Suddenly, they begin to hear a strange clattering sound.
"Huh. What's that sound?" Jessie asks.
Team Rocket turns their heads and flinches to see Annihilape is struggling to break free from the steel net restraint with all his might. And soon enough, Annihilape has break free from the net and glares at Team Rocket with pure anger.
"Uh no!" Mew her friends, and the Pokemon reply.
Annihilape angrily says, "Anni Anni Annihilape! Anni Annihilape Annihilape Annihilape! (How dare you trick me and my trainer like that! I'm going to make sure you all don't get away with this in one piece!)
Hearing this makes Meowth really scared.
"Uh what did Annihilape said?" James asks, frightened.
"He's furious that he tricked him and the twerpette and is going to make sure we don't get away with this in one piece!" Meowth cries out in a panic.
Jessie gulps in freight and asks, "I'm guessing apologizing is not going to fix this, huh."
And just like that Annihilape charges towards Team Rocket, causing them to scream in fear as they hug together in a bundle. Then Aniihilap begins to use his Thrash attack and beat Team Rocket into a pulp. Mew and the others watch in shock as they witness Annihilape pummeling Team Rocket for tricking him. For the final blower, Annihilape uses Rage Fist and sends them blasting off.
Team Rocket screams, "We're blasting off again!"
And is blasted off high and far this time, maybe more than they usually do.
Misty whistles, "Wow. That is some punch."
"Annihilape sure gave them a thrashing, just like what he did when he was Primeape," Brock says.
"That must have hurt," Molly replies.
"Even though they kind of deserve it," Tomo adds.
"I have to agree," Jen says.
Then Annihilape looks at Mew and the others. The group soon grows kind of concerned.
"Uh, you don't think Annihilape is still mad about being tricked by Team Rocket?" Brock nervously asks.
"I hope he doesn't give up on thrashing," Misty says, worried.
Mew walks to Annihilape and asks, "Are you okay?"
Annihilape nods in reply, but soon crosses his arms with a frown.
"You're still mad at Team Rocket, huh?" Mew asks.
Annihilape nods his head in reply.
"I understand why you're upset," Mew says.
Then crosses her arms as well, "Believe me. I sometimes get tired of Team Rocket's tricks.
She then smiles and says, "But in the end, you ended up getting something better than a prize."
Annihilape soon becomes confused.
And soon, Mew notices a mirror and walks over with Aniihilape.
Once in front of the mirror, Mew says, "Take a look for yourself."
Annihilape looks in the mirror to see that he is no longer a Primeape, but a different Pokemon.
Mew giggles, "You've used Rage Fist so many times that you were able to reach the right amount and caused you to evolve. You're a Annihilap now."
Annihilape is soon show a happy expression as he looks at his reflection and make punches, kicking, and flexing poses to see his new look. He actually likes his new look.
Misty giggles, "I think Primeape… I mean Annihilape like his new look."
"Yeah. He does look really strong in his evolved form," Mew says.
Then says, "Well Annihilape, I say we're going to have an interesting time with your new look."
Annihilape continues to look at himself in the mirror as Mew and the others giggle with smiles on their faces. It's plain to see that he likes his new powerful look, and can't wait to have another battle as a newly evolved Pokemon. What's more, Molly also has new Pokemon friends to be with her.
