Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Mew and her friends are having a quiet day as they continue on the road to Ecruteak City.

And suddenly, a voice has gotten their attention, "I'm Alex Davis from Cherry Grove City!"

The group turns their heads to the left.

"I wonder what's going on down there," Misty says.

"Sounds like a Pokemon battle," Brock says.

"Let's check it out!" Mew says.

Everyone soon walks over to see a Pokemon Battle is going to take place.

Soon, Tomo notices, "Hey guys, look!"

Everyone looks to see the battlefield. One side is Alex and his Alakazam, and on the other side is none other than Gary Oak and his Umbreon.

"It's Gary," Mew says, surprised.

Mew and the others watch to see the battle is about to take place.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Molly asks.

"It's an Umbreon," Mew says.

She fishes out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokémon. A Dark Type. When an Eevee has had sufficient training and is exposed to moonlight, it evolves into an Umbreon."

"Gary must've had lots of tough battles to get his Eevee to evolve into an Umbreon," Mew says.

"Looks like the one I have, but mine is a Shiny so it has blue rings," Tomo says.

"I can't wait to see it in action," Brock says.

"Me too," Jen replies

They hear Gary say, "Umbreon, this is the first new opponent you've had in a while, so study its attacks carefully."

"Bre!" (Right!) Umbreon says.

"Okay, let's get this over with," Gary says.

"I don't like your attitude!" The boy, Alex angrily says, and calls out, "Alakazam, Zap Cannon!"

Alakazam does so, and sends out a blast of energy.

Gary calls out, "Dodge it, Umbreon!"

Umbreon does so and seems to have disappeared.

"Where did it go?" Molly asks.

Then Alex calls out, "Alakazam, use your Psychic attack!"

Alakazam does so, and Embreon is not dodging, simply standing before the wave of psychic energy as it washes harmlessly over it.

"Hey! It didn't work!" Alex says, shocked.

"I thought you'd be smarter than to use a Psychic attack against an Umbreon," Gary says.

This makes Alex mad and calls out, "Go! Use your Headbutt, Alakazam!"

Alakazam levitates and dashes forward.

Gary calls out, "Dodge it, Umbreon."

Umbreon does so.

Then Gary calls out, "Now, Tackle attack!"

Umbreon's attack lands easily.

"Alakazam!" Alex calls out.

Alakazam comes to a stop.

"Yeah," Alex says.

Then calls out, "Alright, Alakazam, use your Dynamic Punch!"

Alakazam closes in with the attack.

Then Gary says, "Alright, Umbreon, now use your Agility!

Umbreon effortlessly dodges every attempt at a Dynamic Punch.

"That Umbreon sure has great agility!" Brock says.

"It's gonna be tough to beat," Misty replies.

Tomo, Jen, and Molly nod their heads.

"I think we're just about done," Gary says.

Then Alex calls out, "Alakazam, use your Double Team!"

Suddenly, Umbreon finds itself surrounded by a circle of Alakazam clones.

"Not bad," Gary says.

Then calls out, "Umbreon, don't be fooled by the fakes! Stay calm until you sense the real Alakazam, then attack!"

"Umbreon braces itself, cocking his ears as Alakazams zoom around on all sides... then it leaps high and crashes down on top of one of the Alakazams... the real one! The others disappear as the true Alakazam is knocked down.

"Umbreon, use your Quick Attack!" Gary calls out.

Umbreon dashes forward.

"Alakazam, hurry! Use Teleport!" Alex calls out.

Alakazam disappears just in time. Umbreon comes to a halt, shocked at the disappearance of his opponent.

Then Alex calls out, "Alright! Now finish it with a Hyper Beam attack!"

Gary soon sees the attack prepping, and calls out, "It's coming from the left!"

The attack comes in, but Umbreon dodges the blast in time.

Then Gary calls out, "Now, use Hidden Power!"

Umbreon performs the attack and strikes with full force, knocking Alakazam out and into a tree.

"Alakazam!" Alex cries out and rushes to his Pokemon, "You put up a great battle. You deserve a good rest." And calls it back to its Pokeball.

"Awesome," Misty says.

"Toge." (Very) Togepi happily says.

"Pichu," (Amazing.) Pichu replies.

"That Umbreon's been raised well," Brock says.

"Yeah. Sure he has," Mew says.

Then turns to the others, "Come on, let's go see Gary."

And with that, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee leap off the rock and slide down towards Gary and Umbreon.

Misty calls out, "Mew, what are you doing?"

"My guess, to make a friend," Brock says.

Down below, "Gary is petting Umbreon, "You were great, Umbreon. Come on, let's go."

"Hi Gary!" Mew calls out.

Soon, Mew and her Pokemon leap off and land feet first on the ground.

"Oh, hey Mew," Gary says.

"Hey Gary, just saw your battle, you were great there," Mew says.

"Thanks," Gary says.

Then asks, "Wanna battle with me Pikachu and Eevee next?

"Hmmmm," Gary thinks for a minute, but says, "No thanks, Mew."

"Aw well worth a shot," Mew says.

"Still, cool Umbreon, by the way. Bet it evolved from the Eevee we met," Mew says.

"You win that bet. Anyway, we gotta get going, catch ya later," Gary says as he and Umbreon take his leave.

"Bye," Mew says.

Later that evening, Mew and her friends arrive at the town.

"Gary's Umbreon sure was cool, wasn't it, Brock?" Misty says.

"Way cool. Did you see that coat? I wish I knew how he got it smooth and shiny like that," Brock says.

"Me, too. Gary really knows what he's doing," Misty says.

Then turns to Mew, "Don't you think so, Mew?"

"I know so. Gary has been learning about Pokemon a lot, even when he first met," Mew says.

"How come he didn't agree to battle you?" Jen asks.

"Maybe it's because we know a lot about each other. He might think it's a waste of time for both of us to battle each other," Mew says.

"Maybe, but you already got brand new Pokemon, even Gary probably got new Pokemon. You might have new battles," Misty says.

"True, but I bet he already did a lot of battles before we met up," Mew says.

"That's true," Tomo says.

Soon, they arrive at the Pokemon Center

"Well, here's the Pokemon Center. Why don't we get dinner at the cafeteria?" Brock says.

"Sounds good to me," Mew says.

"Yeah. I'm getting hungry," Jen says. And turns to her Pokemon, "Right Amaura? Snubbull."

Amaura and Snubbull agree.

Soon, everyone enters the Pokemon Center, unaware that Team Rocket was watching.

"The heroes just walked in the front door," Jessie says.

Then James says, "I have a good idea, Jessie! Why don't we sneak in the back door and pilfer the pantry?"

"We can grab a bite in the storeroom and grab as many munchies as we can to go," Jessie says.

"I just love takeout," James says, and turns his head, "Don't you, Meowth?!"

Sitting on the rock and watching the sunset, is Meowth.

He lets out a relaxing sigh, "Ahhh... Ain't that beautiful?... Nuttin' makes me feel more peaceful an' calm than sittin' an' watchin' a sunset."

Wobbugget pops up behind him, "Wo-bba!" (Same here.)

"Hey! Pipe down! Can't ya see I'm calm an' peaceful here, ya dopey blob?!" Meowth angrily says, and proceeds to attack Wobbuffet with Fury Swipes, but Wobbuffet uses Counter to block and reflect it, scratching Meowth's face.

"Wobbuffet!" (Serves you right!) Wobbuffet replies

"Look, Jess. Isn't Wobbuffet's Counter attack great?" James says.

"An attack that returns double what it gets is hard to beat, James," Jessie says.

She then thinks about it a bit, "Hard to beat."

Then she has an idea. An awful idea. Wobbuffet's attack gave Jessie a wonderful, awful, idea.

Later that night, Mew and her friends have finished their meal and stuffed.

"Man, am I full," Tomo says.

"Me too," Misty says.

"Me three," Brock says.

"The food tastes great," Mew says.

Jen happily sighs, "I couldn't eat another bite."

"Me too," Molly replies.

Even the Pokemon agree.

Molly then yawns and looks sleepy.

"I think it's time we get Molly to bed," Brock says.

Jen and Tomo also feel tired.

"Same with the rest of us," Mew says.

Suddenly, the lights cut off, catching the group's attention. At the front desk, Nurse Joy attempts to call the power providers, but to no avail.

"Nobody's answering," Nurse Joy says, and hangs up the phone.

"Nurse Joy," Mew calls out.

Nurse Joy turns to see Mew and the others.

"We were just having dinner in the cafeteria and all the lights went out," Brock says.

"Do you know what's going on?" Jen asks.

"There's been a blackout, and I've been trying to call the local power plant, but nobody's answering the telephone," Nurse Joy says.

"Maybe they just can't handle all the phone calls," Brock says.

"This is just awful," Nurse Joy says, "Most of our equipment runs on electricity, and if any injured Pokemon are brought in, I won't be able to help them."

"Where's the power plant, Nurse Joy?" Brock asks.

"In the mountains, north of the city," Nurse Joy says.

"Come on, let's go!" Brock says.

"Go where?" Misty asks

"Up to the power plant to find out what's going on," Brock says.

"I agree. There might be trouble over there," Mew says.

Then Brock says to Nurse Joy, "Don't worry, Nurse Joy. We'll see what happened and straighten this situation out."

"Come on, guys! We gotta hurry!" Mew says.

Everyone soon heads out to get to the Power Plant.

Meanwhile, Gary is seen preparing dinner for Umbreon

Dinner time, Umbreon," Gary says, but notices the town without lights, "Hey, what happened to all the lights? Must be a blackout."

Suddenly, Mew's voice appears, "This way!"

That catches Umbreon's attention, "Bre?" (Huh?) As well as Gary's.

They soon watch Mew and the others run past.

"Where are they going?" Gary asks.

Soon, Mew and the others see the power plant, which is a hydroelectric plant, and we also see the crew is all tied up and a giant cord extending out into the woods, directing all the power into Team Rocket's newest robot.

"Looks like we're almost ready," James says.

"All systems fully powered up, Jessie," Meowth says.

And Jessie says, "Then it's time to activate the turbo kick engine."

"Turbo kick engine activated!" James says.

Soon, the engine starts whirring to life.

"Engine power output, rising. Almost there. Turbo kick engine now at full power," James says.

Then Meowth says, "And we've got our radar scopes locked in on the Pokemon Center coordinates."

"Alright, team, the plan is to head for the Pokemon Center to capture Pikachu, Eevee, and any other rare and valuable Pokemon we can find," Jessie says.

"Roger!" James and Meowth reply.

"At last, Team Rocket has a powerful weapon that can't be beaten! Let's use it," Jessie says.

"All systems, go!" James calls out.

Soon, the robot Team Rocket is using, begins to move.

"Things are going unusually well, aren't they?" James replies.

"Dis is our lucky day!" Meowth happily says.

But Jessie says, "You may be right, but don't get cocky! Keep your guard up and stay focused on our objective."

"Roger!" James and Meowth say.

Suddenly, the radar gets a ping.

And Meowth notices a red dot, "Hey. The radar scope's picking up something heading to the power plant, Jess."

"Display the image on the main screen viewer, Meowth," Jessie says.

"Roger!" Meowth replies.

The monitor turns on to reveal Mew and the others on the screen.

"Maybe this IS our lucky day," Jessie says.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others reach the power plant.

Jen calls out, "Hey, look!"

"Snubbull!" (The crew!) Subbull calls out.

Mew and the others arrive to see the crew tied up.

"Those guys are tied up!" Brock says.

"Come on guys, let's set them free," Mew says.

Suddenly, Team Rocket blocks their way.

Everyone cries out, "Whoa! What's that thing!"

Soon, it's revealed to be a robot shaped like a Wobbuffet. And with that, Team Rocket's motto appears

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble, we've got a new toy!

James:

And make it double, it's awesome! Oh, boy!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth:

Meowth, that's right!

"It's Team Rocket!" Molly cries out.

Mew shouts, "So you're the ones who raided the electric plant!

Jessie chuckles, "Yes, unfortunately, we needed more electricity than we thought to power up our Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet."

"Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet?" the group of humans reply, confused.

"(Say what?) the Pokemons ask, confused.

"That's wobbu-right!" James and Meowth reply.

Jessie chuckles again, "If our pathetic, little Wobbuffet can use Counter, why not try a giant Wobbuffet? Now you'll never be able to beat us again, twerps!"

And tonight's the night we finally get your Pikachu and Eevee!" James says.

Team Rocket heads into their robot.

"Let's get this Wobbuffet on the road!" Meowth says as the robot activates.

Mew calls out, "Pikacuh, stop em with a Thunderbolt attack!"

Pikachu fires the attack.

Then Jessie commands, "Counter."

"Roger!" James says.

With the press of a button, the attack is absorbed and expelled with more deadly force, prompting the group to get out of the way as the robotic Wobbuffet waddles forward.

If electricity won't work, maybe water will! Totodile! Azumarill! Lugia!" Mew says, and calls out Totodile.

"I can help, too! Staryu, Poliwhirl, go!" Mew says, and her Pokemon are called out.

Both girls call out, "Water Gun!"

And all five Pokemon fire.

"Counter!" Jessie calls out.

"Roger!" James says.

Again, the combined attacks are absorbed and expelled with more deadly force, prompting the group to gain way as the robotic Wobbuffet continues to march forward.

"I hate to say it, but that thing may be unstoppable," Brock says.

Jessie laughs in triumph, "Unbeatable, too. You see, whatever attack you send Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet's way, gets absorbed by its turbo kick engine, which sends it right back at you with twice the power of the original!"

"All systems are working perfectly, Jessie," James says.

Then Meowth says, "Okay, Jess, it's ultimatum time!"

Then Jessie calls out, "So, are you gonna hand over that Pikachu and Eevee, twerp?!"

"That's never gonna happen, Jessie!" Mew refuses.

"Well, we're just gonna have to help ourselves, then, won't we?" Jessie says.

Then Meowth says, "Foist, let's have Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet knock em for a loop, Jess!"

"Go, Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet punch!" Jessie says.

Soon, the group brace themselves for the attack, but suddenly, the extension cord finally reaches its end and stops the giant robot from getting nearer.

"Hey! What's going on?" Meowth panics.

"We don't seem to be moving!" James says, confused.

Jessie growls in anger, "The extension cord's too short!"

"Too short?!" James and Meowth react in shock.

And Meowth says, "But we got the longest one we could, Jessie."

Suddenly, some unexpected help arrives.

"Tackle attack!" Gary calls out.

Umbreon manages to shatter the plug connecting the robot to its power supply, shutting it down.

Soon, Gary arrives, "Okay, Mew! Now's our chance to get those three clowns!"

"Gary!" Mew says, and nods, "Alright, let's do it!"

With that, Mew and the others head to the power plant.

"Great! Now something's really wrong! We can't move at all!" James says.

"I guess the plug musta came out," Meowth says.

James says in defeat, "Oh! Well, it's all over."

Just then, Jessie has another idea, "This isn't over. Not by a long shot. I...know what to do!"

Soon, our heroes are helping the workers out of their restraints.

"Thank you," The workers say.

"Are you all okay?" Misty asks.

"Yeah, now we are, all thanks to you kids," One of the workers says.

"How soon will you be able to get the power back on?" Brock asks.

"I'm not exactly sure, but after all the mess they made, it's definitely gonna take us a while," The other worker says.

"But if we don't get power back to the Pokémon Center pretty soon…" Mew says, worried.

"Nurse Joy won't be able to treat any of the injured Pokemon that come there," Brock says.

And the second worker says, "Hey, Mike. If we can turn on the system in the secondary dam, we might be able to get back online pretty quick."

"You're right! If we could just get the water gate open, we could switch over in no time!" The worker, Mike says.

"The watergate. Come on, let's go, Umbreon!" Gary says.

Umbreon agrees and they head off.

"I'll go with you!" Mew says.

Mew and her Pokemon soon follow, however…

Not so fast," Jessie says.

Soon, Team Rocket is back with their robot.

"They're back again!" Misty cries out.

Inside, James and Meowth pedaling to give the robot power.

"Good thing I came up with a backup power generating system, isn't it, team?" Jessie says.

"Easy, for, you, to say!" Meowth says, tired.

And James says, "Get this over, with!"

"Let's try a Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet punch and strike a blow for victory!"

As soon as the attack nears, Mew and her Pokémon are quick to evade.

"What do we do?" Mew questions, "If we use attacks, they'll turn them back on us double!"

Jessie laughs in triumph, "Look out, twerp! Here comes our Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet chop!"

The attack knocks Mew and her Pokemon aside

"Now let's finish this off with a Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet kick!" Jessie says.

However, the robot suddenly stops again.

Jessie shouts, "Why are you stopping?! We need more power!"

"We're sorry," Meowth says, feeling very tired

James feels the same, "But Meowth and I need a nap."

Wake up! We need power! We could win!" Jessie shouts.

"Hurry, Mew! Before it gets its Counter attack back!"

"We gotta hurry, Pikachu! Use a Thunderbolt attack!" Mew calls out.

The attack fires and lands, but gives the robot more power.

"Well, what do you know?" James says.

"Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack musta recharged our battery!" Meowth says.

Jessie, realizing they're right, relishes the moment.

"It's back on!" Mew says, shocked.

Even the Pokemon are shocked.

"There's one hope!" Mew says, and calls out, "Cyndaquil, Chikorita!"

Soon, both Cyndaquil and Chikorita come out.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, Flamethrower attack!"

The attacks launch.

Jessie calls out, "Counter!"

"Roger!" James says.

The fire attack is absorbed into the machine.

Then Mew calls out, "Chikorita, Vine Whip attack!"

Chikorita fires th attack

Jessie calls out, "Counter again!"

"Roger!" Meowth says.

However, the robot soon finds itself wrapped up, shutting the hatch into the engine room.

"What's the problem?" Jessie asks

"The doors aren't opening," James says.

Then Meowth asks, "Then what's gonna happen to dat Flamethrower?"

"Well, since the double power counter Flamethrower doesn't have any way out…" James says.

Jessie baffles, "It'll burn up the Robo-mecha-Wobbuffet."

"Wobbuffet!" (We're all doomed!) Wobbuffet says.

Jessie turns to her Pokemon baffled, "I'm sorry, did you say something?"

The heat soon intensifies, hurting Team Rocket as the robot's head explodes, sending them flying.

"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

"Wobbuffet!" (That's right!) Wobbuffet cries out.

Later, Mew and the others meet up with Gary at the secondary dam.

"Gary! What's that matter?" Mew asks.

"This is the cable that controls the water gate, but there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it," Gary says.

Brock soon notices, "The handle's missing."

"Where could it be?" Mew wonders.

Suddenly, Totodile says, "Totodile!" (Over here!)

Everyone looks over and sees Totodile pointing at a small building.

"It must be in here," Mew says.

Totodile confirms. Mew tries to open it, but it's locked.

Mew turns to Cyndaquil, "Cyndaquil, Tackle this door."

Cyndaquil does so and busts through the door, and falls to the ground.

Mew rushes to him, "Sorry, Cyndaquil, are you okay?"

"Quil," (I'm okay.) Cyndaquil says.

"Thanks, Cyndaquil," Mew says, and looks at the room, "Sure is dark."

Soon, Umbreon enters the room and lights it up with the rings on its body.

"That's cool. Thanks," Mew says.

Soon, Mew begins to search for the handle. She soon finds it, but it's chained up.

Mew turns to her Pokemon, "Hey, Cyndaquil, I need your Flamethrower!"

Cyndaquil's attack heats up the chain.

Okay, Totodile, Water Gun!" Mew says.

Totodile's attack cools the chain down as quickly as it was heated.

"Chikorita, now that they weakened it, try to cut the chain with a Razor Leaf!" Mew says.

Chikorita manages to do so, freeing the handle. Mew takes it outside and inserts it in the cable spool and attempts to open the gate, but Misty, Brock and the Pokemon end up helping him out while Gary and Umbreon watch.

"Let's help em, Umbreon!" Gary says.

Umbreon agrees and they both head over.

"Thanks, Gary," Mew says.

Everyone pulls and pushes with all their might. And with the great strain, the water gate opens.

"Alright!" Mew cheers.

"We did it!" Brock says.

Everyone cheers as the water flows down the river.

Later, inside the main control room, our heroes check on the power flow.

"How're we doing?" Mew asks.

"Well, the water's flowing and the turbines are turning, but this generator hasn't been used in years and, unfortunately, it's not putting out much power. If we could just give it one good jolt," Mike says.

"We can do that, no problem," Mew says.

"Pika Pika!" (Absolutely!) Pikachu says.

"Pichu Pichu!" (I want to help too!) Pichu says.

Soon, Pikachu and Pichu are connected to the Generator.

"Okay, Pikachu, give it as much power as you can," Mew says.

"Pikachu." (You got it.) Pikachu says.

"And Pichu, if you need a break, let us know," Misty says.

"Pichu," (Okay.) Pichu says.

"Time to pour on the juice, guys!" Mew says.

Pikachu and Eevee perform a jolt and the power starts flowing into town again.

Mike happily says, "It worked! The electricity is flowing and we're at peak output!"

"Yeah!" Mew happily says, "I knew you can do it, Pikachu."

Pikachu leaps into Mew's arms, and Mew happily says, "You're the greatest, Pikachu!"

Misty picks up Pichu and says, "You were great too, Pichu."

"Pichu," Pichu happily says.

"You two really saved the day," Brock says.

"We wouldn't have had the chance if it wasn't for Gary," Mew says.

Gary turns to leave.

And Mew says, "Gary. I owe you."

"Yeah," Gary says, and simply walks away.

Then Gary says, "By the way, you've really improved since I saw you last and you trained your Pokémon well. Don't be too surprised if the next time we meet, I'm the one who challenges either of you to a match."

Mew nods her head and says, "I'll be ready for it."

Pikachu and Eevee agree.

Gary and Umbreon soon walk away.

"Hey, see you around, Gary!" Mew calls out.

Gary bids them farewell.

The next day, the next day at the Pokemon Center.

"An injured Pokémon was brought in late last night, and when the electricity came back on, I was able to treat it. I'm very grateful," Nurse Joy says.

"Maybe you'd like to show just how grateful you are by giving me your phone number, beeper number and email address, Nurse Joy," Brock says, acting romantic.

Misty grabs Brock's ear, "Let's go, Brock. Nurse Joy may be grateful, but she's not crazy."

"Look out Ecruteak City! Here we come!" Mew cheers.

(Ready or not!) Pikachu and Eevee happily shout.

Soon, Mew and her friends continue to head off on their journey to Ecruteak City for their next gym battle.
