Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Later, not long after, Rico and Wesley are at the fields in the town plaza for a Pokémon battle; their Pokémon are Riolu and Chimchar.

"Wow, it's a Chimchar," Rico commented in delight. He then pulled his Pokédex from his pants pocket and pointed it towards Chimchar; his Pokédex then responded, "Chimchar, the Chimp Pokémon. A Fire-type. It agilely scales sheer cliffs to live atop craggy mountains. Its fire is put out when it sleeps."

"Amazing," Rico commented once again in delight. He then put his Pokédex aside and said to Wesley, "I'm ready!"

Good "Good," responded Wesley in cool serious ness.

And so, the Pokémon battle had began.

"Alright, Chimchar, use Ember!" Wesley commanded Chimchar seriously.

Chimchar then used Ember, attacking Riolu with small flames.

"Riolu, quickly, dodge it!" Rico immediately commanded Riolu.

Riolu then dodged Chimchar's attacks, and Rico commanded it, "Then use Focus Blast!"

"What?" Wesley commented in stunning.

Riolu then used Focus, Blast, heightening its mental focus and unleashes its power, striking Chimchar with power.

But, Chimchar managed to survive Riolu's attack.

"Woah! That was powerful," Wesley commented.

"Yeah, me and Riolu had been working on that," responded Rico back in cool seriousness.

After that, Wesley turned serious-mode and commanded Chimchar, "Quickly, Chimchar, use Scratch!"

Chimchar then charged towards Riolu, and used Scratch, raking Riolu with hard, pointed, and sharp claws, striking Riolu with minimum power.

Riolu almost collapsed to the ground when it suddenly got up and used Karate Chop without any commands from Rico, striking Chimchar effectively.

Chimchar then almost collapsed to the ground, prompting Wesley to tell it not to give up.

"Riolu, what are you doing?" Riolu Rico asked Riolu in question. "Why would you use a move without my commands?"

Turning towards its Trainer, Riolu seriously responded that it doesn't want to lose any battle.

But, Rico responded back seriously, "But it doesn't matter when we lose or not, as long as we enjoy the battle."

Realizing its mistake, Riolu nodded in agreement and responded with an apology.

"It's okay, all of us make mistakes," Rico replied to it in agreement, 'Let's do it fair and square."

Riolu then nodded in response and in agreement.

After that, Rico turned towards Wesley and said, "Let's do this fair and square."

"Okay then," Wesley agreed with him immediately.

After that, Rico commanded Riolu, "Alright, Riolu, use Quick Attack!"

Riolu then used Quick Attack, charging at Chimchar at a fast pace.

"Quickly, use Ember!" Wesel Wesley commanded Chimchar quickly and seriously.

Chimchar then used Ember, attacking Riolu with small flames, striking Riolu it with minimum power.

"Quickly, Riolu, use Karate Chop!" Rico immediately commanded Riolu.

Snapping out, Riolu, used Karate Chop, attacking Chimchar with a sharp chop, striking Chimchar with minimum power as well. But, both of these attacks had defeated them, much to their Trainers' shock and surprise.

"Woah, a tie?" Rico asked in commentary.

"Yes, it is," Wesley answered in response.

The battle had ended in a tie, and neither Rico nor Wesley had won the battle.

Calling his Riolu back, Rico said to it, "You did a great job. You deserved some rest." He then put the Poké Ball in his on his Pokébelt and said to Wesley, "I guessed it's my first tie."

"Yeah, me too as well," responded Wesley back as he calls his Chimchar back.

Rico then looked surprised by Wesley's answer, before he and Wesley then laughed about it, concluding today's Pokémon battle.
