Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Chapter 31: Chapter 31 - The Aftermath

After some snack time, Rico, Ben, and Jacob went to the coast guard post in the beach to return the equipment the guards lend to them. Though they had the helmets, the coast guards let the three youngsters keep the goggles for themselves.

Confused and puzzled, Rico and Jacob asked, "Why?"

"Because of your act of bravery," one of the coast guards replied brightly, "you may have these as a memory of this passed disaster."

"Don't worry, you there, three," another added brightly, "we had like a lot of them in our supply, and we rarely replace them."

Calming down and making sense of this, Rico responded back, "Oh, that makes sense. Well, thanks again for your help to us, and for letting us keep these goggles. We really appreciate it."

"You're welcome, you two," they said back. "We're glad to help."

Rico, Ben, and Jacob then turned around and walked away together in happy ending.

After that, the three of them went to the house of the birdkeeper whom he burrowed the birdcage from to return the birdcage to him.

"Thank you for everything," he said to him.

"You're welcome," the birdkeeper responded back positively. "How's the Starlys?"

"They are now living at Professor Campillo's lab."

"Oh, that's good."

"Thanks."

After that, the three of them left the house as the birdkeeper wavered goodbye to them.

Later by 5:45 p.m., as the sun sets beautifully towards the horizon, Rico, Ben, and Jacob are at the airport entrance of Kawayan City's international airport. Jacob is going to depart for another part of the Philas region. It turns out that prior to the storm's coming, Jacob was at a beach hotel, taking a nice vacation; but when suddenly, a storm caused all the flights to and from Kawayan City to be cancelled, leaving the Pokémon warrior Trainer stuck in the city. But now, with the storm gone and had passed, all flights resumed, giving Jacob an opportunity to leave the city. And as Jacob is about to enter the check-in halls, Rico said to him, "Hey, you! What's your name?" Hearing him, Jacob stopped walking, turned around towards him halfway, and responded with style, "I'm Jacob, the Pokémon warrior Trainer. What's yours?"

"I'm Rico Cruz," Rico brightly responded back, "of Kawayan City."

"And I'm Ben," Ben added in introduction, "a Pokémon Ranger."

"Nice to meet you two," Jacob replied back. "And you're welcome on helping you out with the Starlys. I am grateful for my cooperation."

Rico then smiled in happiness. This follows with a short silence for a while.

And then, a flight announcement was heard, alerting Jacob and said to Rico and Ben breaking the silence, "Oh, no, I gotta go now. I'll see you again next time." He then turned around and resumed going to the check-in halls as Rico and Ben watched him from the outside.

Later after a Christmas-style dinner, at home, Rico gave Lucas a gift of pens.

"Wow, thanks, son," Lucas responded back positively. "Here's yours." He then gave Rico a gift of a pack of pencils.

"Thank you so much," Rico responded back politely and positively. And so, their Christmas time was full of happy moments.

Later at night, as the moon rises over the horizon and the lights of the city illuminate across the night. Rico was looking at the clear night sky from his room window gazing at the stars. His Pokémon, including Absol and Starly, are with him, watching him gaze.

"Wow, such a beautiful night would relax me," Rico thought in lovely commentary. "Another sign that the storm is now gone."

The big Christmas tree can be seen a couple of blocks away thanks to its height, surpassing any building that would attempt to block its view. What a lovely night it was!
