Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Third person POV

 Jonathan, who was watching the whole time, commented on their Pokémon battle, "That battle was a 'child's play'." His Pokémon team and Rico's other Pokémon, who were with him watching the battle, then nodded in agreement. Rico's Absol was quite serious, while Rico's Starly was determined on the inside. Now, with Aquila out, it was now Rico and Adrian versus Paulita.

 "Riolu, use Karate Chop!" Rico commanded Riolu.

 "Bulbasaur, use Tackle!" Adrian commanded Bulbasaur seriously.

Riolu and Bulbasaur did so together, but Karrablast dodged them.

 "Then use Peck!" Paulita commanded Karrablast immediately.

Karrablast then used Peck, jabbing Riolu and Bulbasaur with its sharply pointed beak or horn.

Because of it, Bulbasaur was almost defeated while Riolu dodged that narrowly.

 "Woah…" Rico was surprised.

 "Oh, no, Bulbasaur!" Adrian responded to this.

In retaliation, Rico commanded Riolu, "Riolu, retaliate with Focus Blast!"

Riolu then used Focus Blast, heightening its mental focus and then unleashing its power.

Karrablast got hit but managed to survive that barely.

 "Use Peck on Riolu!" Paulita commanded and used Peck, jabbing it with a sharply pointed beak or horn.

But this time, Bulbasaur took the hit for Riolu and was defeated by it.

 "Oh, no, Bulbasaur…" Adrian commented in defeat.

Rico then thinks for a bit, then commands Riolu, "Riolu, use Quick Attack!"

Riolu then charged towards Karrablast at a fast pace, before slamming into it with its whole body.

While Paulita was stunned at Riolu's attack, Rico commanded Riolu, "Then use Karate Chop!"

Riolu then used Karate Chop on Karrablast, delivering a sharp karate chop on it.

This time Karrablast was defeated by it.

 "Woah, she lost?" Aquila commented.

 "What the…? Riolu is so strong…" Paulita added.

 "Wow, Rico is a little bit smarter than I thought," Jonathan commented while being a bit stunned.

Rico and his side win, much to Adrian's joy.

 After that, Adrian and Paulita called their defeated Pokémon and complimented each other's highlights of their Pokémon battle with no contempt whatsoever. Rico and his team were happy to see that. At the same time, back at Labuyo Town, Shion had managed to acquire her next gym badge after winning against Kale. Now, she and her team are now going towards Galen City for her next gym battle.

 After that Pokémon battle, all five of them and their Pokémon went to the Pokémon center to heal up their Pokémon. There while Nurse Joy was behind closed doors to do her job for them, Rico and Adrian saw that Palpitoad was enjoying being with Paulita as its new Trainer. Palpitoad was happy to be with someone who doesn't use it as a tool for something bad or selfish gain. Rico and Adrian, alongside Jonathan, were happy about it.

 After that, the five people are now talking about the designs for their book covers as entries for the Book Festival's Book Cover Contest. They came up with different designs using different kinds of mediums. Rico's theme will be blue sea and blue sky. Adrian's is red flowers and oranges. Paulita's is brown chocolate. Aquila's are green leaves and green stems of plants.

 "Mine are rugged mountains and volcanoes," Jonathan said to them.

And so, armed with crayons, highlighters, colored pencils, regular pencils, rulers, and erasers, all of them designed sketches of their book covers on pieces of paper that was provided by Aquila and Paulita.

Rico used his journal for his own entries.

The festival's opening day is tomorrow, but all of them are now preparing in advance.
