Pokémon: No Way! The Golden Finger Only Comes When I'm About To Die!?

Chapter 132: The Excited Fried

The group quickly arrived at the entrance of the wall, and Friede looked at the delicate little building in front of them and asked, "Is this Angie's house?"

Angie nodded. "Yes, it is. Everyone, come on in." Saying this, he led the way through the wall.

As they walked, Murdock curiously looked around at the surroundings. "I didn't expect there to be a place like this here."

Ludlow nodded and said, "It's a bit like a paradise!"

At this moment, Diancie, holding a basket of flowers, appeared in front of the group. "Angie, you're back? Who are these...?"

The group looked at Diancie with surprise. Among them, Orla, Mollie, Murdock, and Ludlow didn't recognize Diancie.

Only Friede pointed his phone at Diancie.

With a click, an introduction sounded from the phone.

[ "Diancie, a Mythical Pokémon, known as the Princess of the Diamond Domain, rules over the Diamond Domain. Since it exists in legend, its information remains unclear to this day." ]

Before Friede became an adventurer, he was a Pokémon Professor, so he was very knowledgeable about anything related to Pokémon.

The Pokémon Pokédex on his phone was something he had made himself. As a Mythical Pokémon, Diancie only had a few words about it in the recorded books, but despite this, Friede had still included it in his Pokédex.

However, no one had expected that today he would have the rare opportunity to meet it in person.

At that moment, he heard Angie introducing them to Diancie, "They're from the Rising Volt Tacklers. Because their spaceship broke down and landed on the Nebel Plateau, I invited them to my house."

"Oh, so you're guests! Please, come in!" Diancie said warmly to the group.

"What a beautiful Pokémon," Orla whispered to Mollie.

Mollie nodded. "Yes, I've never seen this Pokémon before."

Friede leaned in and said, "That's the Mythical Pokémon Diancie."

"Mythical Pokémon?"

Not only Mollie and Orla, but even Murdock, who was standing nearby, exclaimed in surprise.

Angie turned around when he heard the noise and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Oh, nothing! Nothing at all!"

The group shook their heads quickly.

Friede had given up continuing as a Pokémon Professor to form the Rising Volt Tacklers, an exploration group, to seek out all sorts of unknown events related to Pokémon in the world. Now that he had come across such a rare opportunity, he certainly wouldn't let it slip by.

He quickly walked up to Angie's side and asked, "Angie, is this the Mythical Pokémon Diancie?"

Angie nodded. "Yes, it is!"

Diancie, upon hearing this, also turned to look at him and gave a sweet smile.

"Is Diancie your Pokémon, Angie?" Friede asked again.

Angie continued to nod. "Well, sort of. We grew up together."

"That's great!" Friede said with visible excitement. "Can I take a few pictures of Diancie?"

Angie hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "You can, but I hope you won't share them with others."

Friede quickly reassured him, "I promise, I won't share them. To be honest, I'm a Pokémon Professor, and the main reason I'm out here exploring is to learn about unknown Pokémon."

"A Pokémon Professor?" Angie exclaimed in surprise. "So, Friede, you're that amazing? Becoming a Pokémon Professor is no easy feat."

"It's not that impressive," Fried modestly replied.

Then, Friede aimed his phone at Diancie and took a few pictures, eagerly asking Angie, "Angie, do you know Diancie's type, weight, height, and other details? If you can, please tell me."

Angie nodded; these details weren't anything he couldn't share.

"Diancieis a Rock-type and Fairy-type Pokémon…"

Behind them, Orla watched Friede talking to Angie and shook her head with a smile. "Friede, that guy…"

She and Friede were childhood friends, and they knew each other very well. If their relationship wasn't that close, she wouldn't have helped him modify his spaceship or served as the mechanic for his team!

Mollie patted Orla on the shoulder. "He's just that kind of person!"

"Pikachu~ Pikachu~"

Captain Pikachu also crossed its arms and looked at Friede, who was speaking excitedly, with a smiling expression.

Friede, still excited, was recording the information about Diancie. He had initially thought meeting Diancie was the greatest stroke of luck, but when he and Angie walked to the door and saw two more Pokémon he had never encountered before, his eyes widened in disbelief.

He first pointed his phone at Magearna.

"Magearna, an artificial Pokémon created by the arcane scientist Nikola five hundred years ago. It only exists in legend, and its information is unclear."

Then, he turned his phone toward the Pokémon behind Magearna, Volcanion.

"Unknown Pokémon, information unknown."

Friede pointed at Magearna and Volcanion and asked, "Angie, are these two Pokémon…?"

Angie answered, "Oh, you mean Magearna and Volcanion? Magearna used to be my sister's Pokémon. After my sister passed away, it now lives with me."

"As for Volcanion, it's the guardian of the Nebel Plateau."

Upon hearing Angie mention his sister's passing, Friede thought he had inadvertently touched a sensitive topic and quickly apologized, saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't know…"

Angie was momentarily stunned, realizing Friede had misunderstood, and then explained, "You're talking about my sister's passing? That was a long time ago. It's nothing we can't talk about."

Angie's conversation with Friede caught the attention of Magearna and Volcanion.

When Volcanion opened its eyes and saw strangers, it snorted and immediately sprayed steam from its back arms before flying away.

It recognized Angie but did not want to see other humans.

Angie helplessly said, "Volcanion doesn't like humans, so it's a little bit temperamental. Please forgive it."

Friede and the others quickly assured him it was no problem.

"Magearna~"

Magearna, who are these people?

Magearna walked up to Angie and asked.

Angie replied, "They're guests, Magearna. Could you please prepare some drinks to serve them?"

"Magearna~"

Magearna squinted her eyes into crescent shapes and nodded happily before turning around and jogging into the house. However, after just two steps, as expected, she tripped and fell, making a loud clattering sound.

"Be careful!"

"Oh no!"

Friede and the others exclaimed in surprise.

"Magearna~"

Magearna swiftly got back up, not forgetting to turn around and smile at everyone.

"Magearna... is she okay?" Friede asked.

Angie replied, "Don't worry, she's fine. She's always like this—she trips several times a day."

Hearing this, Friede and the others let out a relieved sigh.

After Angie led them into the house and invited everyone to sit down, Magearna, followed by Gengar and Munchlax, brought out tea and juice.

Angie said, "Feel free to have some tea or juice. It's all I have here."

Ludlow picked up the hot tea in front of him and said, "This is perfect."

"Exactly, exactly," the others nodded in agreement.

Angie grabbed paper and a pen and said to Orla, "Miss Orla, please write down the materials you need, and I'll have someone send them from Azoth Kingdom."

Orla took the paper and pen. "Thanks for your help, Angie. Also, you can just call me Orla."

Friede, Mollie, and Murdock also suggested Angie call them by their first names.

Angie nodded. "Alright, then I'll gladly follow your request, Orla, Friede, Mollie, Murdock."

Orla smiled and began writing the list of materials.

Meanwhile, Friede, who had nothing to do, looked at Magearna sitting with Diancie, chatting softly, and then turned to Angie and asked.

"Angie, Magearna is a Pokémon created by the arcane scientist Nikola. It should belong to the Azoth royal family, right? Aren't you worried they might find out Magearna is with you and cause trouble?"

Angie shook his head with a smile. "Not at all!"

Friede, Orla, Mollie, Murdock, and Ludlow all looked at Angie with puzzled expressions.

"Why not?" Friede asked.

Angie replied with a smile, "What if there's a possibility that I'm actually from the Azoth royal family? I forgot to mention, my full name is Angie Azoth."

"Eh???" The group once again displayed expressions of disbelief.

"Angie, you're a prince?" Mollie asked. "This is so surprising. I never thought I'd meet a prince one day."

Orla sized Angie up, then added with a smile, "Hmm~~ this image definitely matches the prince I had in mind!"

Angie smiled and shook his head. "I should say I used to be one, but not anymore."

"That's possible?" Murdock asked.

Angie laughed and said, "Of course it is! When my father was king, I was a prince. But since my father is no longer king, I'm obviously not a prince anymore!"

At that moment, Orla handed the completed list to Angie. "Angie, could you take care of this for me?"

Angie took a glance at the list. It contained items he didn't recognize.

Placing the list on the table, Angie took out his phone, snapped a picture, and sent it to Jeremy before dialing his number.

"Hello, Your Highness, what's up?" Jeremy's voice soon came through the phone.

"Did you see the list I just sent you?" Angie asked.

"I saw it," Jeremy replied.

Angie continued, "Could you please buy the items on the list and send them to Nebel Plateau?"

"Okay, I'll go right away," Jeremy replied, "But Your Highness, I noticed that the list is filled with materials for equipment repairs. What do you need these for? Is something broken at home? Should I bring a mechanic over to take a look?"

"No need, I'm buying these for someone else. Just have the items delivered, that's all," Angie quickly explained.

"Alright, understood," Jeremy responded.

After hanging up, Angie turned to Orla and the others and said, "Alright, now we just have to wait. Jeremy should be delivering the items soon."

"Angie, we really can't thank you enough. If we hadn't met you, we wouldn't know what to do," Friede once again sincerely expressed his gratitude to Angie.

Angie waved his hand dismissively, "Alright, enough with the thanks. If you keep thanking me, I'm going to get calluses on my ears."

Friede and the others laughed heartily at this.

"By the way, while we're waiting for the materials, would you like to explore the Nebel Plateau?" Angie suggested.

"Sure!" Friede and the others agreed eagerly.

With that, Angie led everyone outside.

"Munchlax, Gengar, please keep an eye on the house!"

"Munchlax~"

I got it, Master!

"Gengar~"

Gengar, no problem.

Just as they reached the plaza by the wall, Murdock suddenly shouted in surprise, "Isn't that a Nacli and a Garganacl?"

As a chef, seeing a Pokémon that could produce high-quality seasonings, like Nacli and Garganacl, naturally thrilled him.

Angie chuckled, "I forgot that Mr. Murdock is also a chef!"

"Also?" Murdock paused, "Does that mean…?"

Angie smiled and said, "I am too."

Hearing this, Murdock immediately became excited and grabbed Angie's hands, "If we get the chance, we must exchange culinary tips!"

Angie nodded, "Of course, let's exchange contact information!"

"Definitely!" Murdock agreed enthusiastically.

The two of them then exchanged contact details.

Angie added, "If you don't mind, I'll send you some rock salt later, Murdock!"

"Thank you so much!" Murdock said gratefully.

With the rock salt, he'd be able to show off his skills aboard the spaceship!

Angie shook his head, "No need to thank me."

Murdock then asked, "By the way, can I go take a look at Nacli and Garganacl?"

"Of course, feel free," Angie readily agreed.

Excited, Murdock immediately ran toward Nacli and Garganacl. As he passed the corner of the wall, he spotted a Capsakid and a Scovillain, which made him even more excited.

Friede, watching Murdock chat with Garganacl, shook his head helplessly, "Angie, Murdock loves exploring culinary arts. So when he sees an ingredient or seasoning he likes, he gets like this. Please understand."

Angie nodded, "Of course, actually, I'm just like Murdock."

The group continued walking when, not long after, they heard some commotion.

"What's that sound?" Mollie asked.

Angie stopped and listened for a moment, "It sounds like the Pokémon are playing soccer. Want to go see?"

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Following the sound, they soon saw from a distance a flat grassy field where two teams of Pokémon were playing soccer.

One team was led by Volcanion, with team members including Croconaw, Poliwrath, Politoed, and Marill, all Water-type Pokémon; the other team was led by Chesnaught, with team members including Pancham, Gogoat, Skiddo, and Deerling, all Grass-type Pokémon.

The Pokémon ran freely on the grass, chasing after the ball, while cheers and shouts echoed.

Mollie asked, "Do Pokémon really play soccer?"

Angie explained, "Volcanion is a huge soccer fan. He watches Pokémon soccer matches every day!"

Mollie's eyes lit up with realization, "I see now."

At that moment, Friede suddenly asked, "Angie, what kind of Pokémon is Volcanion? I've never heard of it before."

Friede considered himself well-read, but he couldn't recall finding any record of such a Pokémon in his books.

Just thinking about how Volcanion was an unknown Pokémon, his heart started to burn with excitement.

Wow, cool, wow cool!
