POKEMON : THE WAY OF PERCEPTION

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Osiris' Soaring in the Sky Dragon

Ash swallowed hard as he glanced back at Pikachu, who stood anxiously behind him. He could hardly believe that such a small, cute Pokémon could potentially wield the power of Osiris' Soaring in the Sky Dragon—a legendary being from another universe entirely. Pikachu had already proven itself capable of incredible feats, often facing even legendary Pokémon without backing down, but this was something else.

In the Pokémon anime, Pikachu had always shone brightly, overcoming challenges and rising above expectations time and time again. If Pikachu could inherit the power of the Soaring in the Sky Dragon, it would be a force to be reckoned with. Ash couldn't help but imagine what kind of future awaited Pikachu if it gained such strength.

"Pikachu, do you want to accept this inheritance?" Ash asked, unsure if the decision was right for his partner. He wanted Pikachu to make the choice for itself, weighing the pros and cons.

"Pikapika?!" Pikachu's eyes widened as it realized the power contained in the red light ball. The thought of becoming a god-like creature was overwhelming. Could it really absorb that power and become stronger than it ever dreamed?

"It's not exactly becoming a god, Pikachu," Ash said calmly, trying to keep the situation grounded. "There may be some limitations. You'll get potential and qualifications, but it won't be instant strength."

Ash's words made Pikachu pause. If it accepted this inheritance, there was a possibility it could reach the heights of the Soaring in the Sky Dragon—an entity that wielded the power of lightning and thunder, with abilities that could affect the entire world. However, Ash worried that the path of instant power might deprive Pikachu of the growth it needed.

Ash preferred the idea of Pikachu developing its strength through effort, rather than relying on a shortcut. Power gained too easily might lead to a dangerous downfall, especially if that power were to disappear or be lost.

After a moment of contemplation, Pikachu nodded, determination flashing in its eyes. "Pika!" it declared, jumping down to the ground and making its choice. It wanted to grow stronger and stop relying on others for protection. Pikachu wanted to protect others, just like Kangaskhan had protected it during its younger days.

"Alright, then!" Ash smiled proudly at his partner. "Let's do this!"

With that, Ash addressed the system. "Use the inheritance!"

As Ash spoke, the crimson light ball floated gently toward Pikachu. Pikachu stretched out its small paw and touched the orb, and in an instant, the light merged with Pikachu's body, disappearing without a sound.

"Is... is it over?" Ash stared in disbelief. He had expected something more dramatic to happen—after all, this was the inheritance of one of the Three Phantom Gods, a being of unimaginable power. But the process was quiet and almost anticlimactic.

Pikachu, equally confused, looked at its paw, then back up at Ash. "Pika... Qiu?" it murmured, unsure of what had just happened.

"Do you feel any different?" Ash asked, concerned. He immediately opened the system's attribute panel to check on Pikachu's progress.

Ash stared at the screen in confusion. "Wait… accepting the inheritance should've meant gaining the power of the Soaring in the Sky Dragon... but why is everything still locked?"

Despite the inheritance, Pikachu's attribute and strength hadn't changed much, and the abilities were still locked. Ash's hope was dampened, but he quickly reminded himself that this inheritance was only the beginning, not the end.

Pikachu looked a little deflated. It had hoped for an immediate transformation, but it now understood that this was just the starting point. The power was there, but it would take time and effort to unlock it fully.

"Don't worry, Pikachu. You've got what you need to grow into something amazing," Ash encouraged, knowing that Pikachu's potential was now boundless. The Soaring in the Sky Dragon's abilities were in Pikachu's grasp, but it would take hard work to unlock their full potential.

Ash's mind began to race. If the abilities were locked, how could he and Pikachu unlock them? He thought about the Thunderbolt and Superconducting Wave abilities and what they might mean in the context of the Pokémon world. Could they manifest as powerful moves like the ones used by the Soaring in the Sky Dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh!?

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, the Soaring in the Sky Dragon's Thunderbolt could reduce the attack points of opposing monsters, even destroying them if their attack points were lower than 2000. If this effect were translated into the Pokémon world, the results could be devastating. The Superconducting Wave attack, on the other hand, was equally mysterious but equally powerful. It was an iconic move tied to the Soaring in the Sky Dragon's powers, and Ash had no idea how it would manifest in Pikachu.

"Now, we just need to figure out how to unlock these abilities," Ash muttered, scratching his head. But the system provided no answers, and neither did the lottery. Everything was up to Ash and Pikachu's efforts.

---

As if to cheer him up, the system presented another lottery draw. Ash had no idea how far the inheritance of the Soaring in the Sky Dragon would take them, but he now understood just how valuable this lottery system could be.

Ash pressed the lottery button, hoping for something that could aid them in their journey. But when the draw concluded, he was a bit disappointed. Instead of another inheritance, he received a Big Pearl—a valuable item in the Pokémon world.

"Well, this isn't so bad," Ash said with a smile, pocketing the pearl. "At least we won't have to worry about money for a while."

Pikachu, now feeling stronger and more confident than before, jumped excitedly. "Pikapika!" it cheered. Since receiving the inheritance, Pikachu had felt a subtle change in its body. It could sense its strength growing, and the transformation was making it feel more powerful with each passing moment.

---

Meanwhile, in a strange, distorted space, a figure suddenly opened its eyes. Waves of energy rippled through the air, as if an immense, unfamiliar power had awakened. But the moment passed, and the eyes closed again, returning the space to silence. It felt as if everything had been an illusion—a fleeting sensation that would soon be forgotten.
