Chapter 100: Bonus chapter: What did you do?
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! NOW THEY'RE DEFINITELY AFTER ME!!" Yuna grabbed Lukas by the collar, shaking him back and forth.
"S-Sorry! Please let go, I'm about to throw up!"
"Then get lost!" Yuna shouted as she threw Lukas to the ground.
"What kind of woman is this cruel?! Didn't we have a chill conversation last time?"
"THAT WAS BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T BEING FOLLOWED BY THOSE MEN IN BLACK!"
After a heated argument, Yuna finally calmed down.
"Fine... I'm going to class now."
"Hey, don't leave me out here!"
"That's your problem, isn't it?"
"Come on~" Lukas's eyes sparkled in a way that begged to be punched.
"No."
"Pretty please~"
"No."
"Pls pls plsssss~"
"No."
"Fine, I'm coming to your university too."
"No—Wait, what?! Who said you could come in?!"
But Lukas pushed open the door and walked in, leaving Yuna anxious.
If anyone saw her with a stranger, misunderstandings were sure to arise.
So there was only one solution… keep as much distance from him as possible and act like they weren't connected!
Yes, yes! I'm a genius! she thought proudly.
Determined, she walked in, mentally preparing to avoid him as much as possible. But then, something unexpected happened.
"Excuse me... which department are you in?"
"D-Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Can I have your phone number?"
A group of girls surrounded Lukas, who paid them no attention and kept staring at the vending machine.
"Ah! Do you want a drink? I can buy it for you!" one shy girl asked.
"Huh? Oh, free money! Thanks!" Lukas took her money and flashed her a dazzling smile.
His flawless, almost unreal face left her swooning, and she fainted on the spot.
Damn it, he's better looking than K-pop idols!
While the fainted girl was carried away by others, Lukas pocketed the money and chose corn milk. But the vending machine didn't work, making him furious.
"STUPID FUCK!!!! I'm dying of thirst!!!" Lukas shook the machine violently, slamming and combo-ing it like a lunatic.
Even as the girls saw his toxic behavior, their eyes sparkled as if they thought it was a charming trait.
Yuna was speechless and hurried to class.
"Oi oi, isn't this Yuna?"
"Huh?"
She turned around to see a group of people approaching with challenging expressions.
It's them…
Ever since her breakup, rumors about her had spread like wildfire.
People who used to be friendly started avoiding her.
When she investigated, she discovered that the source of the rumors was none other than her best friend.
What the hell?! Is this some kind of stereotypical Chinese drama?!
Things got worse when the rumors tied her breakup to all kinds of nonsense.
"What are you thinking about? Choosing a new target to gold-dig?" a burly blonde guy sneered.
"Shut up."
"Ooh, feisty, aren't you, bitch? Gahahaha!"
Their laughter made Yuna clench her fists.
But she couldn't fight back—those rumors had stripped her of any chance to defend herself. Now, the whole school saw her as nothing but a gold-digger.
She could only blame her own weakness and naivety.
"Move."
A familiar voice made the group step aside.
Yuna broke into a sweat, recognizing the person approaching.
Of course, it was her ex-boyfriend, accompanied by the very person who had caused their breakup—her so-called best friend.
This is straight out of a manhua.
"I'm surprised you still dare show your face here," her ex sneered.
"I need a degree for my parents' sake..."
"You're as good at lying as ever. I regret ever loving you."
"What did I even do? I haven't—"
"STOP TRUSTING HER!! SHE'S A LIAR, JUST LIKE HER PINK HAIR—BEAUTIFUL BUT FULL OF LIES! SHE STOLE YOUR GUNDAM MONEY!" his new girlfriend interrupted, ranting nonstop.
"W-What?! You're so despicable! I regret loving you even more!"
I haven't even said a damn thing!
Swallowing her frustration, Yuna decided to leave and avoid further humiliation.
Call her a coward if you want—back in her hometown, she had never raised her voice, always enduring quietly.
But before she could leave, they grabbed her shoulder.
"Hey, we're not done. You still owe us money."
"..."
"What's this? Playing the victim? Don't forget I have proof!"
He shoved his phone in her face, showing a photo.
In the picture was… a man wearing a wig that looked like her hair, dressed in her clothes, holding their money.
Hell no, they actually believe this? This photo couldn't look more fake if it tried!
Were these idiots really my friends once?!
"That's not even—"
"EVERYONE!!! SHE'S STARTING TO MAKE EXCUSES AGAIN! DON'T BELIEVE HER LIES!!" The new girlfriend threw herself to the ground, acting like a child.
Are you kidding me?! She's crazier than I thought!
Seeing the looks in their eyes, Yuna bit her lip and gave in.
"Fine… I'll pay."
Hearing that, the new girlfriend smirked triumphantly.
"Good. Now—"
"SCHEISSEEEEE!!!" (German)
A vending machine suddenly crashed into the burly blonde guy, shocking everyone.
There stood a red-haired man with a right-side earring, his face burning with anger for some unknown reason.
"Verdammt, du hast mir nicht einmal eine Flasche Maismilch gegeben, also warum fragst du nicht deine Existenz, Wasserautomat?!"
The heck are you talking about?
"Hey, bastard! What did you do to my friend?!" A girl rushed over, pointing her finger at Lukas.
"Huh?" Lukas turned to glare at them, his sharp gaze freezing the girls in place.
'S-So cool and intimidating! Who is this ridiculously handsome guy?!'
Lukas glanced at the group standing in front of Yuna. His brain began to process.
This is… uh…
Hmm… Oh, I get it! I don't understand anything at all!
While Lukas's brain was still loading, Yuna's ex-boyfriend stepped forward and grabbed Lukas by the collar.
"Bastard! Are you deaf?!" he shouted.
Lukas's expression turned deadly serious, his face radiating menace.
Feeling challenged, the ex-boyfriend grew angrier.
He was used to being adored by girls and respected by guys. No one ever looked at him like this.
He believed he could get away with anything, and if anyone objected, a simple threat would silence them.
But this guy… was he insane? Clearly, he had no idea who he was messing with. (Bro, he just tossed a vending machine with his bare hands.)
"Looking at me like that?! You're dead!" The ex-boyfriend raised his fist, but someone grabbed his arm.
It was his girlfriend.
"Baby?! What are you doing?"
Her legs trembled, and her face flushed red as she spoke with a pleading tone.
"Sweetheart… there must be some misunderstanding. Please let him go…"
'You're just horny over him!' Yuna grumbled inwardly.
"But—" He tried to argue, only for the other girls to join in.
"Please don't hit him! I'll take the hit for him instead!"
"If he gets hurt, I'll drop out and cry in my room all day!"
"Please act like a proper handsome guy! Don't stoop to such behavior!"
The girls' interference left him baffled.
Lukas, still thinking, suddenly looked at the ex-boyfriend and then at Yuna. A light bulb went off in his head.
"Ah! Are you Yuna's ex-boyfriend?"
"..."
When the man holding his collar didn't answer, Lukas turned to the girl beside him.
"Hey, are you his girlfriend?"
As soon as he asked, the girl peed herself, leaving Yuna horrified.
EWWW!!
"Y-Y-YES!!! HE'S Y-YUNA'S EX-BOYFRIEND!!" she stammered before fainting on the spot.
Seeing his girlfriend collapse, the ex-boyfriend's anger boiled over.
"What did you do to her, bastard?!"
"I'm warning you. Let go of me," Lukas said sternly.
"What did you say?! Trying to act tough, huh?" (Bro… the vending machine…)
"I'll say it again. Let go."
"And if I don't?"
They locked eyes, and Lukas took a deep breath before saying,
"Then I'll fart."
...
"What?"
A loud sound echoed everywhere, emanating from Lukas.
The ex-boyfriend's face turned pale as a foul smell hit him. He released Lukas and vomited on the spot.
Meanwhile, the girls acted like addicts, inhaling deeply. (I'm starting to regret writing this ridiculous chapter…)
Lukas ran over and grabbed Yuna's hand, pulling her away.
The two of them dashed to a quiet spot, with Yuna covering her nose and panting for breath while Lukas stretched casually.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Yuna yelled, pointing at Lukas in anger.
"Huh?"
"Why did you provoke them?! This had nothing to do with you!"
"Who said it had nothing to do with me?"
"Huh?" Yuna froze.
"You're someone I know. Plus, that guy is your ex, right? He must've done something to hurt you, so I got revenge for you."
"...Are you serious?"
"Of course! Don't worry, he won't bother you again because I'll stick with you from now on!"
"WHO SAID YOU NEEDED TO STICK WITH ME?!"
Yuna slumped into a chair, covering her face.
"Are you okay—"
"Stop. Too much has happened today. I need to wash my face."
Yuna got up and headed to the public restroom.
She splashed water on her face, trying to calm herself.
If I hadn't gotten involved with him in the first place, none of this would've happened…
But… he did stand up for me…
No! That kind of revenge was useless! They'll just retaliate later!
But… he said he'd stick with me…
Sighing, she looked at her reflection.
Why is my face red?
It felt just like when she was dating her ex.
No… I'm overthinking.
When she walked out, she saw Lukas crouched by the vending machine, retrieving coins from under it.
He clasped his hands as if praying, inserted the coins into the machine, and pressed a button.
Luckily, this time it worked, and he grabbed a bottle of corn milk with a triumphant smile.
Noticing her, he walked over and handed it to her.
"Huh?"
"What? It's for you."
"But I thought you were thirsty?"
"I am, but you look more exhausted than me, so you get priority," Lukas said, scratching his head.
"..."
Yuna stared at the bottle, memories of her grandma, who always bought her corn milk, flooding back.
Then she looked at Lukas's face as he absentmindedly picked his nose.
He's really good-looking... (Seriously? You're only noticing this now?)
He had defended her in such a strange way, cared about her more than her ex ever had, and even treated her kindly…
Why do I feel so warm…
Wait… is this love?!
Her eyes widened as she stared at Lukas.
For some reason, flowers seemed to bloom around his face, and the atmosphere turned rosy.
No way!!
"Uh… is there something on my face?" Lukas asked.
"N-No."
"What? Why are you speaking so softly?" Lukas leaned closer, making her face flush.
"NOTHING!!"
She lightly pushed him, but for Lukas, it felt like being hit by a truck.
He flew off at supersonic speed.
"There he is! That bastard who humiliated me—" her ex-boyfriend shouted, running up just as Lukas crash-landed.
Lukas's head slammed into his nut, make a crack sound.
"UGAH!!"
The two collided with a wall, breaking through it and falling outside.
Both of them hit the ground with a loud crash, the sound echoing everywhere.
"Is she even human?!" Lukas groaned, rubbing his head. He glanced down and noticed two handprints imprinted on his chest.
Feeling something odd, Lukas looked behind him and realized he was sitting on the face of Yuna's ex-boyfriend.
The guy had completely passed out, foam frothing at his mouth after being exposed to the "heavenly scent" from Lukas's butt.
"..."
Lukas stayed silent, stood up, and quietly fled the scene, leaving the unconscious ex-boyfriend lying there.
