Pokemon: This Gary is Very Different

"Absol, are you willing to go with me?" 

After all the villagers left, Hilda turned around and looked at Absol behind her, asking in a sincere tone.

Absol sensed the kindness from Hilda but didn't respond. Instead, it turned around and walked toward the edge of the village.

Seeing Absol leave without responding, Hilda felt disappointed, thinking that Absol had rejected her invitation.

However, Absol's next move changed her mind. It suddenly stopped, looked back at Gary and the others, and called out, using its eyes to signal them to follow.

"Absol wants us to follow it," Gary translated for Hilda, who looked a bit lost beside him.

"Really?" 

Hilda's disappointment melted away, replaced by surprise.

"Of course." 

After hearing Gary's affirmative answer, Hilda excitedly caught up with Absol, walking out of the village alongside it. Gary and Rosa exchanged glances and quickly followed.

In this way, Gary, Hilda, and Rosa followed Absol and soon arrived at a forest outside the small village. Within this forest was a hidden cave. Upon reaching this place, they looked around and guessed it must be Absol's home.

After guiding Gary, Rosa, and Hilda to its home, Absol didn't pay them any attention but walked deeper into the cave alone. Hilda, confused by Absol's actions, turned to Gary and asked, "What does Absol want by bringing us here?"

"I don't know either." 

To be honest, Gary was just as puzzled about why Absol had led them here.

While Gary and Rosa were discussing, Hilda kept her gaze fixed on the direction Absol had gone. She didn't look away until Absol emerged from the depths of the cave, carrying a round stone in its mouth.

"Is this for me?" 

After examining the round stone on the ground, Hilda understood what Absol meant and looked up at it.

"Thank you." 

After receiving Absol's affirmative response, Hilda squatted down and picked up the round stone.

However, upon inspecting it closely, she realized she didn't recognize it and turned to Gary, who was knowledgeable about these things. "Gary, do you know what this is?"

Gary examined the round stone in Hilda's palm and recognized it at once. This round stone was a Pokémon's Mega Stone, but he didn't know which Pokémon it belonged to. He opened his system and quickly checked, soon discovering the answer.

"This is Absol's Mega Stone." 

After confirming this, Gary answered Hilda's question.

"Mega Stone? What is that?" 

This was Hilda's first time hearing that term, leaving her a bit confused.

"A Mega Stone is..." 

Before Gary could explain, Rosa jumped in and introduced Hilda to Mega Stones and Mega Evolution.

After the explanation, Rosa looked at Hilda with a hint of envy, feeling happy for her. "So, this stone is Absol's Mega Stone!"

"Could it be..." 

Hilda realized that Absol had given her the Mega Stone and understood what it meant. She immediately cast a surprised glance at Absol.

"That's right; Absol is ready to follow you, Hilda." 

Seeing Hilda's reaction, Gary clarified for Absol.

"That's amazing, Absol!" 

After getting Absol's affirmation, Hilda's face lit up with a joyful smile. "Then please take good care of me in the future, Absol!"

With that, Hilda took out a Poké Ball, squatted down, and said to Absol in front of her. After Absol called out, it touched the button in the center of the Poké Ball and was taken inside without resistance.

Since Absol was willing to follow Hilda, the Poké Ball didn't shake and completed the capture smoothly.

"I captured Absol!" 

Hilda exclaimed happily, holding the Poké Ball containing Absol in her hand.

"Congratulations, Hilda!" 

Gary and Rosa chimed in to congratulate her.

Gary felt genuinely happy for Hilda, especially since Absol had such high qualifications.

Level: 32 

Qualification: Champion 

Moves: Quick Attack, Pursuit, Taunt, Shadow Claw, Sucker Punch, Psycho Cut, Swords Dance, Hidden Power, Dark Pulse...

Even Gary felt tempted by Absol's Champion qualification.

"Since you have subdued that child, please take good care of it in the future." 

After learning that Hilda had captured Absol, Minako asked earnestly.

"I will, Aunt Minako." 

Hilda nodded solemnly, clutching the Poké Ball containing Absol.

"Then I'm relieved." 

After receiving Hilda's assurance, Minako couldn't hide the smile on her face. Finally, she mentioned that she would be leaving the village to join her husband, who worked in Violet City.
