Princess Fischl

Chapter 10: 9. The first battle.

Chapter 9

- Fischl, are you okay? - a worried woman rushed to me when the apocalypse ended. Having reached me, she grabbed me by the shoulders and began to examine me, as if trying to find something.

- Miss Lisa, don't worry, this energy did not harm my mistress, but on the contrary. - Oz intervened, and I nodded my head in confirmation.

- Okay, in that case, tell me how you feel.

- Well, I feel that my internal reserve has increased a little, and also, um... I seem to be able to use Anemo. - Having hesitated a little at the end, I nevertheless reported receiving the 2nd element, demonstrating a mini tornado in my palm.

- But how is that possible? - the mentor was surprised. - At most, you should have been able to travel between active teleportation points.

- Oh, yes, that's right. I also felt that I could teleport to this statue and the open teleportation point at any time, and I could also move a maximum of 5 people at a time, including myself.

- Okay, ideally, we should go back to the city and meet up with Jean, but we went out to train, and I can't leave without warning Razor. So now we'll go straight to the gorge, Razor should be waiting for us there, okay? - the Librarian said, having resigned herself to how unusual the student she had gotten.

- Yes, of course. - I answered, and Oz sat on my shoulder as usual.

- Right, you have a glider, right? - the mentor asked me.

- Yes, what is it?

- Well, since you have a glider, we can shorten the route and instead of making a detour, we can directly glide into the gorge.

- I think it really would be better that way. – I said and took out the glider that my parents gave me 2 years ago and put it on.

- I see you still don't know how to put on the glider directly from the eye of God, but it's okay, I'll teach you that too, after all, the eye of God even allows you to change clothes instantly. – Lisa said, looking at my actions.

- Doesn't the Eye of God give too many amazing opportunities?

- Yes, it really is an amazing device, that's why almost everyone in Taivat dreams of their own eye of God.

- Okay, enough chatting, Razor is already tired of waiting. – Lisa said, and then headed towards the cliff.

The place where the statue of the archon stands is a hill, to the west of which is the Dawn distillery, and from there there is a direct road to the lands of Li Yue. We headed north from the statue of the Archons to jump straight into the gorge, in which there is one of the roads from Springwell to the distillery. And also further north behind the cliff is the forest of Wolfendom.

After 5 minutes, having reached the cliff, we jumped straight into the gorge and glided towards the beginning of the gorge. While we were flying, I managed to see at least 2 Hilichurl camps that were trying to build fortifications at an accelerated pace.

- Miss Lisa, do the Hilichurls really build fortifications like this all the time? - I asked when we landed.

- Yes, that's why it's important to constantly clear them out. Besides, most of the cargo is transported through this gorge and since they appeared again after meeting Razor, we will get rid of them, and when we return to the city we will register you in the guild. I think that under my guarantee you should be able to count this as your first completed task.

- Good. Thank you very much.

Since we landed not far from the entrance to the gorge, after 5 minutes I was able to see Razor in person. He looked to be the same age as me, had long, spiky, gray hair, bright red eyes and pale skin with a scar on his left cheek. He wears green camouflage pants, an orange poncho shirt, black boots and a dark coat with a hood, decorated with belts.

As soon as we approached him, he immediately turned in our direction and sniffed a little and said.

- Teacher. I was waiting.

- Hello, Razor, we are a little late, let me introduce you to my new student. - Lisa pointed at me.

- Her name is Fischl, and the raven flying nearby is her companion Oz. - Then she turned to me and pointed at Razor. - Fischl is Razor, I hope you get along.

- Nice to meet you. - I said after the introduction.

- You smell delicious... Let's hunt together. - Razor said, coming closer to me and sniffing again.

- Um... okay?

Looking at our interaction, Lisa chuckled slightly to the side.

- Teacher. It's time to hunt.

- Good. Your task will be to destroy 2 hilichurl camps today, understand?

- Yes. - We answered at the same time.

- Great, you will fight yourselves, and I will just keep an eye on you just in case and before going on the attack. Fischl, you need to get rid of the hilichurls with crossbows, and then you, Razor, can join the battle.

- Good - I answered, summoning a bow and a quiver with arrows, which I hung on my belt on the left side. Razor simply nodded.

From where we were, it was quite easy to see the first Hilichurl camp, in this camp there were 2 towers with sentries with crossbows, 1 mitachurl with a shield and 3 regular hilichurls were setting up a barricade.

- Razor, I'll try to get to the enemy from here first, and you be ready to take on the mitachurl if he runs in our direction, okay?

- I'll cover you. - Razor nodded.

Having heard the answer I needed, I aimed at the nearest hilichurl sentry, although the distance to him was more than 200 meters, I was sure that everything would work out. I tried to remember those feelings when last time at the training ground I managed to perform a piercing shot and a moment later a purple crosshair inside a circle appeared at the end of the arrow and I released the bowstring.

The arrow flew out with such a high speed that for the most part we saw only a quick purple spot, accompanied by a pop from breaking through the sound barrier. As for the hilichurl, where the center of the mask should have been, there was only a hole left, and from the body that began to fall, 3 small purple balls separated and flew in my direction.

- Fischl. Strong. - I heard Razor's words out of the corner of my ear, and I myself began to prepare a shot at the next hilichurl

The hilichurls naturally did not wait for my next shot, the huge mitachurl roared, jumped over the barricades that its smaller brothers had erected and, putting its shield forward, ran at us. To be honest, I panicked a little and, forgetting that Razor was covering me, I changed my sight from the second sentry right to the center of the mitachurl's shield.

Another bang thundered, from the breaking of the sound barrier and we heard the giant roar in pain, it was clear that along with the shield, the giant himself was pierced through, however, although this stopped him, I did not hit any vital organs and a moment later, full of anger, he, albeit more slowly, rushed at us again.

- Oz, Razor! He is yours! - This time, having calmed down, I took the next arrow and aimed at the second sentry, who also began to run towards us to get to the distance from which he could hit.

The third shot thundered and the unlucky hilichurl, like his first brother, fell dead, and in the meantime, Razor, taking up his two-handed sword, rushed to the mitachurl, who was being doused with clots of electro by Oz.

The giant took all of Oz's projectiles on his shield, while gaining more and more speed towards Razor, but unlike the giant's expectations, there was no collision. The guy who was raised in a wolf pack made a last-minute maneuver and, finding himself behind the monster, charged his sword with the Electro element and simply split the mitachurl in half.

The remaining 2 hilichurls, showing the beginnings of intelligence, as soon as they saw the death of their leader, immediately began to run away, unfortunately for them, I did not let them go and cut short their lives with 2 precise shots.

"Daily tasks, shooting and energy completed. Rewards received." - I heard the voice of the system. Although this surprised me, but I decided to leave it for another moment.

While I was thinking about the system notification, slow claps were heard from behind.

- You did an excellent job, well done. Although you, Fischl, were a little confused at first because of the mitachurl, but despite your mistake, quickly came to your senses and was able to trust Razor. In general, an excellent result for the first battle.

- Thank you for the praise. - I was slightly embarrassed.

- Fischl, strong. More battles together. Good hunting. - said Razor.

- You're right Razor, you just need to work together. Okay, we need to destroy their camp and then we'll move on to the next one. - said Lisa and walked towards the barricades.
