Chapter 17: 16. New World.
Chapter 16
[Activated Quest "Eye of Justice: Part B"]
The voice of the system was heard in the dark space.
[Preliminary Removal of the First Level Seal, Type B]
In what seemed to be absolute darkness, an incredibly complex runic circle glowed blue, illuminating the unconscious girl's body beneath it. The runic circle grew brighter with each passing second, and at the same time, shrinking in size, it began to descend near the girl's head. Until it sank right into her left eye and without a light source, the girl was again enveloped in darkness.
[Adaptation of the Body]
And once again, a source of light appeared in the kingdom of darkness. It was the girl herself, whose body twitched in convulsions and emitted the same light that emanated from the runic circle. It is unknown how much time passed until the darkness received back its albeit insignificant, but still a piece.
[New energy type available: Cursed energy]
[Transfer to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen]
June 2018, Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai City.
I woke up so abruptly that it seemed as if someone had flipped a switch from off to on. What happened recently was quite a shock for me. I didn't understand how I managed to annoy the order of the abyss, so that they sent two readers of the abyss after me at once. What did they say there? "Impostor"? The only thing that can lead me to this is that I have a bloodline that is exactly like Lumine/Itera and perhaps the twin who led the abyss, who was expecting to finally see his sister/brother, was a little angry at me for deceiving me?
- And anyway, where am I? - breaking out of my thoughts, I finally looked around the room I was in.
I was sitting on a very ordinary bed in a room that could easily be described as a room for a teenager from a fairly well-off family in the 21st century. The renovation was clearly at least at the European level, there was a table on which a laptop lived, a wardrobe, shelves filled with books with writing on the binding in Japanese, which I somehow understand and can read quite calmly as if I had lived my whole life in Japan. And of course, what no girl's room can do without, a mirror.
Hanging my legs over the bed, I immediately came across slippers, which, as it were, should be put on right away. I was dressed in dark purple pajamas. To be honest, everything that was happening caused slight bewilderment, and did my thoughts become somehow faster? In comparison with what was before, it seems as if before my brain was something like a calculator, which was suddenly replaced by a quantum supercomputer. However, I realize that the increased calculation speed did not make me smarter.
Speaking of calculation speed, shouldn't I have gotten "six eyes"? - thinking about it, I headed to the mirror, where I was met by my usual face, except for one very noticeable detail. My left eye was covered with a black and, frankly speaking, rather stylish pirate bandage. I was a little surprised that despite the bandage, I could see as usual. After admiring my face with this bandage for a couple of seconds, I finally got to the main thing. I started lifting the bandage.
As soon as I freed my eye from restrictions, my brain was literally covered with a wave of incoming information. The world seemed to become brighter, I saw how some energy moved in the air, objects and, probably, in space? I saw and felt the energy inside myself. Allowing part of the energy that made up my inner sun to turn into the familiar energy of Electro, I tried to strengthen my body as Jean had taught me. Seeing the entire process at the smallest level, I did not allow even a grain of energy to go to waste, while noticing the incompleteness of such strengthening. I saw all the areas of the body that were not strengthened due to banal ignorance. I saw how my body reacted to strengthening, how fast the energy moved and how ineffective the path it took was.
With each passing second, I had more and more ideas and theories on how to significantly increase my combat effectiveness. However, everything came up against one most solid and sensible thought. I must first consult with Satoru Gojo.
With a heavy sigh, I forced myself to pull the blindfold back on. I remember that the greatest mage of our time kept his eyes closed outside of battles not for fun, but because such a volume of information overloads even an extremely pumped-up brain. And I'm a little afraid that I'll start experimenting right now and, succumbing to the feeling of absolute control, I'll hurt myself. I don't actually know how to turn negative cursed energy into positive, and my Anemo healing skills at the moment can only heal a scratch until I create my own elemental skill.
- Okay, stop. I've gotten too distracted. System, where am I? And what's equally important is whether the canon of this world has begun and if not, how long until it does. - I said out loud.
[At the moment, you are in Sendai City, a 5-minute walk from Sugisawa Third High School. All your documents are in the desk drawer. Also, your backstory is as follows. You are an orphan who inherited a house and a pretty impressive amount of money from your parents. Until recently, you were homeschooled, but since the money you inherited would only be enough to pay for utilities and food for six months, you had to transfer to a regular school. By the way, you should be at school in half an hour.]
- What do you mean in half an hour?! - I screamed.
- Damn! Couldn't you have dropped me off a little earlier, at least for a couple of hours. - I lamented, hurrying to the bathroom to tidy myself up. Mentally, at every step, I noted for myself that I was acting as if I had lived in this house my whole life. Toothbrush and toothpaste, the refrigerator and what was in it, clothes. I found all this intuitively. I even found my school uniform right away. So in a record 10 minutes I managed to get ready completely, although if I had used makeup everything would have been much worse, but as it is I even have some time to spare.
Leaving the house and locking the door, I threw my briefcase over my shoulder and walked towards the school, taking out my phone along the way.
"What the hell is this system! Where did I get this reflex to take out my phone along the way and immediately go to social networks! I even entered the password automatically!" I screamed mentally, trying to keep my face so as not to attract the attention of passers-by.
[Don't worry. It's just that in a way you can say that having moved here you were reborn. And within a month your memories of your current life should be restored. This was done in order to avoid the possibility of influencing your personality, as well as to fit harmoniously into this world.]
Having heard this, I had to make incredible efforts not to curse out loud, and only having calmed down a little, I asked the question that had arisen.
"What, will such a parody of reincarnation await me in every world now?"
[No. This will only happen in worlds where you could have problems without it. For example, in worlds like Naruto this is not required, and in such worlds where it will be important for you to have an ID card, etc., it will be the same as now.]
"I see, I think I really could have problems if I ended up here without any documents."
Having resigned myself to the fact that, judging by everything, a new replenishment of memories for at least 14 years of life awaits me in the near future, I continued to go to school, simultaneously thinking about what to do with the key point of the beginning of the canon, and then still be able to survive all the horror that awaits me in this world.
