Chapter 24: 23. Tokyo College Part 1
Chapter 23
Entering the area around the hospital, smoke could be seen coming out of the pipes connected to the cremation chamber. It looked like Grandpa Itadori was being cremated. Itadori and Gojo were sitting on a bench nearby, so I started walking towards them in high spirits. At least, I was in high spirits until I saw Itadori ask something with a determined look, and Satoru Gojo actually started handing him Sukuna's finger!
Naturally, I couldn't let Itadori swallow the second finger right before my eyes, and in a purple flash, I found myself next to them holding the finger in my hand a moment later.
- I told you not to give him another finger! - Because I was angry and didn't even try to control the energy, you could see small flashes of purple lightning running across my skin.
- Why are you so sure that you can destroy something that even I couldn't destroy? - Satoru Gojo asked curiously, appearing at my side and intercepting the cursed object from my hand.
- Well, isn't this too open a place for such conversations? - I was slightly embarrassed. And if I was ready to blame all the future problems on Gojo, then I would prefer not to say anything to Itadori.
- It is enough to say the method and then I will abandon the plan to get rid of Sukuna with the help of a vessel, and Itadori will be able to live the life of a shaman with an indefinitely postponed death sentence. - Damn, why is he so serious, almost everyone reviled him for the opposite.
- Okay. - Sighing heavily, I decided to try to explain the situation with my eye and took off the bandage for clarity. - As you noticed Gojo-sensei, my eye is similar to yours, in fact, it now has exactly the same abilities, but this is only part of its capabilities. Having fulfilled certain conditions, I will be able to open other abilities and the most important in our situation is the ability to see the lines and points of death. Simply put, as long as this creature or object has the concept of an end or death, I can destroy it by simply poking at that very point of death, and Sukuna's fingers are no exception.
"What is this like the mystical eyes of death perception from the Nasuverse?" Itadori exclaimed in surprise, drawing our attention to him.
"Um, well, yeah, I just wasn't sure if you knew about them and described them briefly.
"And what are the conditions for obtaining this power?" Gojo asked.
"First, I need to complete the conditions for which I received six eyes, and it's better for us to talk about this in private.
"Why?"
"Because you are the strongest, Gojo-sensei."
"Haha, okay! I'll trust you." Satoru laughed happily, and then turned to Itadori. "I hope your motivation hasn't disappeared, Itadori? You shouldn't upset such a sweet girl.
"What are you hinting at, sensei?" - I looked at Satoru suspiciously.
- You are so desperately protecting Itadori that even I feel a little jealous. Ah, youth. - Gojo tried to tease me.
- Hm, he may be a good guy, but he has fatal flaws that make it impossible for me to fall in love.
- Oh, poor Yuji, you were rejected so quickly. - hugging Itadori, who pretended to be upset, and a few seconds later we burst out laughing.
- By the way, I have only reported on Itadori so far, I need you to tell me how everything happened yesterday from your side, otherwise Megumi managed to buzz my ears about strange lightning without cursed energy. - Gojo said, settling down on a bench, inviting me to sit down next to him.
- Well, everything was like this... - I began to retell yesterday, starting from the moment I came to the occult club.
- So you're saying you're stuck in an endless corridor? I remember Utahime encountered something similar a long time ago, she and her partner got out the same way you did. The curse was clearly level one. And, apparently, you now have the infinity technique. - Satoru began to speak thoughtfully.
- I suggest we do this. Join the Gojo clan and I will list the mutated six eyes and infinity as your cursed techniques.
- How am I supposed to join the clan? Just in case, I'll warn you, I'm into girls. - I immediately moved away from the guy and said.
- Oh, I'm wounded in the heart. - Satoru playfully grabbed his heart, and then continued, becoming more serious. - You just change your last name in the documents and I'll have less trouble with these old farts. You won't have to marry anyone.
- Well, I don't mind, in this world I'm an orphan anyway. - I agreed with a shrug.
- "In this world" huh?
- I'll tell you later.
- I have a feeling it'll be fun. - Gojo said with a joyful smile and started to get up, turning to Yuji. - Don't forget to pack your things before the end of the day.
- Are we going somewhere? - the guy was surprised, not noticing Megumi walking towards us.
- To Tokyo. - the newcomer said with an indifferent face.
- Fushiguro! - Itadori exclaimed, pleasantly surprised, and then showed a thumbs up and said. - You look great!
- Seriously? - Megumi said, hinting at the bandaged head and plasters on her face.
- Soon you will be the same. You are transferring to our college. - Megumi continued gloomily. For a second, it even seemed to me that it sounded like a threat.
- Hello Fushiguro. - I greeted.
- By the way, there are now four first years, including you, Itadori and Fischl.
- So few?! - Itadori exclaimed.
- Well, there aren't many magicians in principle. - I answered with a shrug.
As a result, it was decided that Megumi would be immediately returned to the college by teacher Gojo, and then I had to wait until Itadori collected my grandfather's bones and poured the ashes into the crypt of the family grave. Fortunately, he collected his things quite quickly.
- Fischl, don't you need to pack your things? - Itadori asked curiously, walking out with a backpack on his shoulders.
- I already took everything I needed.
- Well, are you ready? - Gojo interrupted our conversation.
- Yes.
Having heard a positive answer and standing closer to us, Satoru Gojo made a sign with his hands and a moment later we found ourselves in the mountains not far from the entrance to the college grounds.
- Surprisingly, we are in the mountains. Are you sure you are in Tokyo? - Itadori asked, looking around.
- It is more like the outskirts of Tokyo. - Satoru answered, and then added. - In any case, you will have an interview with the school principal.
- The principal... So you are not the main one?!!! - Yuji exclaimed.
- No. However, if you fail the interview, you will not be able to transfer, so try hard.
- Whaaaat?! And then they will execute me right away?! - Itadori screamed in alarm, pointing at himself. Damn, what funny and active facial expressions he has.
- Even though you are strong, you are still so pathetic. - Suddenly a mouth appeared on the guy's cheek and spoke in Sukuna's voice.
*slap*
He slapped Itadori's cheek sharply. - Sorry, sensei. Sometimes it comes out.
- Isn't it cute... - Gojo said with a little interest.
- If you treat that bastard's body like some kind of thing, then I'll gut you all! - The mouth appeared again, only this time on the back of Itadori's palm, causing another irritated exclamation from the guy.
- To be Sukuna's target... I'm flattered. - Satoru replied.
*slap*
- Is he that famous? - Itadori asked, slapping the mouth that appeared again.
- The Two-Faced Ghost is a cruel god with four arms and two heads. In fact, he is a man. A legend incarnate. More than a thousand years ago, when magic was just beginning its journey in the human world, shamans tried to defeat him, but all to no avail. That's how he got his name, and after his death, we couldn't destroy his body. So it was spread all over the world as cursed items.
- Without a doubt. He is the king of all curses.
- Who is stronger between you two? - Itadori asked when we were almost at the entrance to the college building.
- Mm?
- If Skukuna gains all his power. Would you lose, sensei? - Yuji corrected himself slightly
- I think it would be difficult then. But... - Gojo was about to answer, but I interrupted him.
- You will lose.
