Princess Fischl

Chapter 58: 57. Replenishment.

Chapter 57

Hearing my words, the teenagers who were building the barricades were clearly not very happy. Even the seemingly too rational Takashi slightly grimaced in annoyance, realizing that I was right, and the others, despite their dissatisfaction with my words, did not want to start a conflict.

While the office was silent, I watched in amazement as the time traveler in front of me brazenly threw all the tools he had collected into his inventory, as well as boxes of nails that came to hand. What surprised me even more was that no one around him paid attention to this. Is a spatial pocket really a common thing in this world?

As he was about to take it into his inventory, the guy looked at me in a strange, slow way, apparently reacting to such a close look. When I was about to ask a question, he hurried to answer me.

- Please, not now.

- Okay. I just thought it was funny. - I replied.

- Funny? What do you find funny about a fucking horde of zombies breaking into our house! - Takagi Saya, emboldened, yelled at me.

- God, learn to be at least a little more restrained. - I answered with irritation, deciding to do something useful for these schoolchildren, maybe with a weapon in their hands they will feel at least a little calmer?

Perhaps Saya planned to continue yelling something, but at that moment the zombies were able to widen the passage enough to get in. The first one, upon entering, ignored the table in front of him and tried to ram it with himself, but in the end he only lay down on its surface, and now tried to throw his body over the obstacle.

Unlike the teenagers who started to panic, I calmly started looking into the cabinets of this room until I came across a cabinet with cleaning tools. There I found one mop, a broom and a dustpan. Without thinking twice, I immediately cut off all the excess from the handles of these tools and made a semblance of two copies, one wooden and one plastic, and from the dustpan on a long handle I got a pretty good plastic stake. At this time, behind me, Takashi, using a fire extinguisher that was in this class, brought it down on the head of a zombie sprawled on the table, quite successfully killing him.

Two more zombies broke into the classroom after him, and I decided that they wouldn't notice it visually anyway, so I decided to pump up the improvised spears a little with the help of the damned creation technique. I tried to make them stronger so that they wouldn't break too easily, and also to make them sharper. Unlike a completely recreated weapon from scratch - although this required a lot of energy, it was quick in terms of time.

Turning around, I saw a pale Takashi, who nevertheless fought off one of the zombies that entered, as well as Kota, who, with the support of Hisashi, killed the second zombie with a chair.

With a slightly crazy look after defeating the zombie, Takashi looked in my direction and his gaze immediately became attached to my homemade spears.

- Here, with this it will definitely be easier against the zombies, I threw a spear from a broom to him with a smile, and threw a stake from a dustpan towards the zombie that had just gotten through. Having pierced his head through, he nailed the corpse to the door.

"Who else knows how to handle a spear?" I asked the schoolchildren who looked at me.

"I was practicing So-jutsu," Rei volunteered.

- Okay. - I handed the second spear to the girl, and then looking at the fact that no one was in a hurry to approach the door to pull the stake out before the arrival of new zombies, I sighed heavily, did it myself and handed it over to Hisashi, who, judging by the bandages tied to his fists, was planning to fight with his fists.

- Climbing a zombie with bare hands is idiotic, - I said to the guy who was planning to refuse.

- She's right, - Kota supported me. - We don't know if the consequences of the bite will be the same as in the movies.

"This isn't a movie, you damn otaku!" Takagi snapped at the guy.

- But our zombies are quite real, so it wouldn't hurt to be careful, - Takashi noted, tearing himself away from examining the spear he had been given.

Meanwhile, new zombies began to approach the class and two of them had already made their way inside, but after one swing of my katana, they, having lost their heads, fell right in the passage.

"We need to get out of here!" Takagi declared, watching as another zombie followed the dead ones into the office and immediately lost its head.

"That's a great plan, but I'd like to discuss the details," Takashi remarked, looking thoughtfully at the fire extinguisher before taking it into his inventory.

"We need to get out of the school grounds, and they'll help us there," the teacher suggested hesitantly.

- Not a fact, there is no mobile connection, it is doubtful that someone deliberately surrounded the school with jammers, - the time traveler objected.

- And what do you suggest? - Hisashi asked, watching as another zombie lost its head.

- It's a stone's throw from here to the teachers' room, there's a landline phone and a TV there, let's try to turn on the news and contact one of the city services. Even if the police and rescue services are inundated with calls, maybe we'll be able to contact the fire department or the coast guard. Let's let them know about us and if not in deeds, then at least in words we'll get help.

"The plan is good, I'm for it," said Hisashi.

Having received consent from the others, Takashi picked up the first aid kit and turned to the teacher.

- Have you taken first aid courses?

"Yes, but…" the woman began to answer, slightly hesitating.

- Give it here. - interrupting the woman, Saya roughly snatched the first aid kit from the guy's hands.

Sighing heavily and clearly holding back from beating up the annoying girl, Takashi looked at everyone and suggested that we move on, while I killed, apparently, the last of the nearby zombies.

We walked to the teachers' room almost like we were on a walk, not counting the zombies. I rather lazily chopped off the heads of the zombies we met on our way and even allowed other teenagers with weapons to try their hand at me once.

It's funny that except for Takashi, who was in no hurry to voice his thoughts, no one else paid attention to the fact that these spears were unnaturally sharp and certainly shouldn't have pierced heads so easily. And not far from the room we needed, we had reinforcements consisting of two girls and a guy.

Moreover, they came because Rey, who accidentally stuck a spear into a throat instead of a head, with almost a battle cry pulled the spear out of it and for the second time already hit the right place.

- We heard a scream, but apparently our help is no longer needed. Has anyone been bitten? - the girl with a wooden katana in her hands asked us with a polite smile and seeing a denial, she introduced herself and her companions. - You probably know Nurse Marikawa. I am Busujima Saeko, and this is Ishii Kazu.

"I'm Emi Gojo," I introduced myself, and the others followed suit.

- Nice to meet you. - The girl smiled wider and bowed her head.

- Stop playing idiots! If we behave like this, we'll soon die!!! - the politician's daughter screamed. Oh, how I sometimes want to give her a good slap in the face, but it's not civilized.

However, what is surprising is that instead of getting angry at Saya's words, Saeko walked up to her and whispered something in her ear, hugged the pink-haired girl, stroking her head, and she didn't even try to move away and silently cried into the chest of the girl who hugged her.

Although it would be nice if we went, everyone calmly let the girl calm down, who, despite her prickliness, also needed support.
