Prison School: No More Prison

09th of July, Monday.

Kiyoshi's POV

"Shingo! Stop leaving your books on the floor!"

"My bad, my bad. Since when do you care so much about cleaning?"

"Since I slipped for the fourth time this month!"

"Okay okay, I'll help you clean a little"

"Thanks…"

"By the way, you used the video player yesterday right? where did you leave the CD it had on before?

"Huh? Oh you mean the porn one? There, next to Andre's books.."

"So, Kiyoshi… today's your first day as the council's dog right?"

"... Yes, but this dog may be the whole reason why we end up having the sea school trip to begin with!"

"Yes, good boy, now say 'wan' would you?"

"Just shut up and let's go buy that stuff would you?"

He's right tho. Today is my first day as the USC's secretary and the day Mari's plan will take action. 

As we can't technically just call all students to a single room and read Mari's letter, the Prez and I will be assisting as many clubs as we can, reading Mari's goodbyes and apologizing for what happened. 

But before that, I should just attend my normal classes and try to take a small breath from everything that happened last weekend.

Thanks to Andre's advice, a good night of sleep and taking a small walk this morning, I feel refreshed. Not exactly good or happy, but I think I could live for a bit longer.

This morning, I went to buy myself a new phone. I should have bought a cheaper one, this one was really expensive but at least it's really customisable. Sadly, Joe and Shingo's phones were broken in their adventure with PBR-sama, so I went with them to buy theirs too. I had a good time with them, I feel like I haven't had the chance to talk with them alone for a long time. It was a relief to hear from other people's love problems, as bad as that sounds.

Shingo is having trouble trying to match Anzu's video game skills, but he's having a good time practicing with Joe, who's actually doing better than us. Apparently, Satou-san (Cake-san) had a boyfriend who was cheating. Joe took the time to try and comfort her while slowly approaching as a romantic interest, but he wanted her to have as much space as she needed. In other words…

I'm the only piece of shit in here. Well, maybe Gakuto could be labeled as such too but the guys and I understand his situation. Who wouldn't have a problem choosing between two women that want him?

Anyways, as my class started and I arrived at my classroom, I finally realized that I was gonna be in the same room as Chiyo. Or so I thought…

Chiyo didn't come to class today. Mayumi-san told the teacher that 'she wasn't feeling well'. I don't know what to think, but I could swear that Mayumi looked at me while saying that. Maybe… she knows? I can't tell.

I didn't really have time to think today. As my classes were slowly getting heavier and heavier before the summer break, I was kinda nervous for today's tasks:

First, as I said before, I had to go with Meiko-san of all people, club by club, reading the letter and apologizing. If that's not hard enough, I'll probably get criticized by Meiko or called "Dickyoshit" by the girls.

After that, I'll go meet with Kate and Hana to debate about possible solutions for the founding problem. I have some ideas thanks to the guys, but I'm not sure if we can do most of them.

And finally, at night, I asked Shingo if he wanted to watch some Sumo wrestling. Apparently he's pretty up to it, so we'll have some kind of movie night. Being honest, it's not that interesting, but I want to at least give sumo an opportunity… for Chiyo.

Guess it doesn't sound that bad, but my head is still hurting from everything that happened in the last 3 days.

"I'm truly sorry for everything!" I said as I bowed.

"Please, forgive this dumbass and the USC's doings. Thanks for your time" Prez did the same.

We both left the manga club and I took a chance to drink some water.

"Phew… Where now?"

"The 'Go' club is the last one to do for today, after that, you'll go with Kate-san to the other council's office, you got that?"

"Y-Yes ma'am!"

Meiko has been treating me surprisingly well today. I mean, it's the prez we're talking about, of course she screamed at me from time to time, but nothing too serious.

"Mmm… Chiyo's club. I wonder how she's doing"

Ah… that's right, Chiyo always liked Go. I remember when she tried to warn us about the ODT while she was playing outside.

"With your permission, we wanted to say some words, it will only take a minute"

As Meiko spoke, I entered with her. Of course, most girls in the room looked disgusted at my sight, but between the 'ughs it's dickyoshit' and other insults, Mayumi-chan looked surprised at my arrival.

Meiko started by talking about Mari's exchange, then read the letter she left and we both apologized. We've done that with 18 other clubs today. The letter had been slightly modified by Meiko in order to make Mari look like a victim of her situation more than the only culprit, while also blaming herself, that's why she also apologized. 

"I'm sorry for everything!"

As we both got out, Meiko handed me some money for me to buy essentials for the USC, such as tea, ink and other stuff. Thanks to Hana, I know where to buy some quality tea, but I'm not that good at blending flavors nor preparing it.

As she left and I was about to go, a hand pulled the back of my uniform. When I turned around, I saw Mayumi-san with a worried face.

"Ah, Mayumi! It's everything alright?"

"U-Uh… yeah, I just… wanted to talk with you for a second"

"Y-Yes? What did you want to talk about?"

"It's about… Chiyo"

"I-I see! Would you mind if we spoke another time tho? I'm actually late to a meeting of mine"

"A-Ah… Yes, no problem, would you mind coming to the club tomorrow after classes?"

"Y-Yeah sure! I'll see you tomorrow then!"

"Yes, see you tomorrow"

I walked as fast as I could, trying to look as least suspicious as possible. Well, I guess I'll have to meet Mayumi tomorrow, but I'd like to involve myself the least possible with Chiyo for now.

I started walking to the office while looking at the posters of the clubs. Since I've spent most of my time in prison, I never considered joining one. I heard both Mitsuko and Hana were in some clubs, especially Hana. Maybe I should join one…

Which one should I join?

I don't think I could join any sports due to being a male, and I'm not good at many other things…

Maybe I should ask someone. As the original council president, Kate was the club's activities coordinator, so I could ask her about it.

"Hmm?"

I bumped into Hana as I turned the corner

"A-Ah, s-sorry"

"L-Look where you walk, idiot!"

"..."

"..."

Without any other exchange, we both headed to the office. I gave her quick glances but I couldn't see her face at all. She was wearing her regular uniform and a small bag I've seen her wear after class. She was also carrying some books, and they looked kinda heavy.

"D-Do you want me to carry them?"

"...Hpmh" Without saying anything she handed me the heaviest ones and continued walking. But as she gave me her book I could finally see her face. She looked better than yesterday, I could even see the small blush she tends to have.

We continued walking without saying anything else…

Man… What did I talk about with her before?

When we went shopping together I remember talking a lot, but I don't exactly remember what. Probably stuff related to Chiyo's birthday, so I guess I can't copy that. 

Mmm… Maybe I could…

"H-Hana… D-Do you know any good clubs out there I could join?"

"..."

Ah… No response? Well, I wasn't expecting that much either…

"... the cooking club is pretty good…" She said without looking at me. "... you could also try the karate club, I guess…"

"C-Cooking huh? I-I could try so! I'll bake you something if you want to, haha!"

I don't know what I'm saying… Has it always been this hard to talk to women? I mean, yes, it has, but to Hana?

As my thoughts gathered, we arrived at the door where we found Kate. You could tell she was angry just by looking at her.

End of Kiyoshi's POV.

Kate's POV:

'What is love?'

Since the last talk I had with Mari, I've been asking myself that question almost daily.

That fateful day Mari asked me that same question out of nowhere. At first I was shocked. Why would she ask me that? Was she actually interested in me or something like that? Was that her way of saying goodbye?

But as almost 3 days without her have passed, I've been asking myself that same question.

The ride home from the beach was one of the worst days in my life, even if I don't like to admit it. I haven't seen Meiko cry like that since we were kids… When I used to… The thing I'm trying to say it's that I cried my ass out too. Once we arrived back at the academy and the driver left we both headed back to our bedrooms.

It was then that I remembered the fact that Mari gave me a closed envelope. It was then when I found out it was filled with letters for different people: Meiko, Kiyoshi, Hana, Chiyo, The Chairman and Me.

While I thought of reading everyone's letters, after I read mine I couldn't hold my tears back any longer and I slept while crying again. I think that was for the best.

The only thing left for me to do is to keep her legacy alive. Even if that means destroying everything I've built. But why? Why do I care?

What is love? Why did she ask me that?

…

Did I actually like her? Did I hate her? I honestly can't tell anymore.

But there's one thing I'm sure of:

I wouldn't be the person I am right now if it wasn't because of her. Both good… and bad.

Meiko and I met before the others that same sunday. I went to her bedroom as soon as I woke up. She looked as bad as I did, I still could see tears in her eyes when she saw the letter.

Mari was the one that suggested we mixed the councils, and for some reason I can't comprehend, I decided to accept it.

So now, even if it's a secret, I work with Meiko, who until now used to be my second biggest enemy.

So now I'm left with another question. Is this love? The fact I gave up everything for Mari? Or was it for Meiko? Or for the academy?

I suck at this.

*Alarm sounds*

Ah… today I have a meeting with Kiyoshi and Hana. Today we'll try to find a solution or 'distraction' to everything that happened in the last 2 weeks.

I can't say that I'm unhappy about being paired with those two: Hana is pretty resourceful and flexible, she'll probably already have some ideas to propose. And even though I don't know Kiyoshi that well, he has shown a lot of determination and skill when a task is given to him.

If I put it like that, it doesn't sound bad…but…

Aren't they a couple? or used to be?

Before the festival, I found photos of them together… and they didn't look like friends to be clear. 

I forgot to use it against them while we were fighting, so I never found out what happened in between them.

Well, as long as nothing weird or awkward like yesterday happens, I'm fine with it. But… I'd like to see some 'love' first hand… F-For research purpose.

As I arrived to the office, I grabb-

W-What?

Whose key are these?

…Mitsuko! Shit! I gave her the keys yesterday. She must have mixed them… And they told me they were meeting at a cafe that's around 1 hour away…

Fuck! How can I be such a dumbass?! I felt my blood heating.

I can't believe it. I couldn't stop thinking about everything that happened that saturday… 

I was trying so hard to keep my cool again that-

"U-Ummm. Kate-san?"

I looked up to find both Hana and Kiyoshi looking at me confused. Kiyoshi's questioning brought me back to reality. I took some air.

"Yes… Hey, It's good to see you, I see you both came together!" That's… suspicious 

"A-Ah, nono, we met on the way here!" Kiyoshi tried to explain the situation

I felt a shiver down my spine. Hana looked at me with murderous eyes for a second. W-What did that mean? I-Is it because I know about the photos? D-Does she know about that?

"Mm? Is the door closed?"

Ah… Fuck… I had forgotten.

"I-I'm sorry. Apparently I mixed the keys… Mitsuko-san must have them"

They both looked at me in a 'you fucked up' face. I felt like crying.

"So… What are we gonna do?"

"Maybe we can go somewhere outside?" Suggested Hana

"I heard it will rain today… And everything's still wet from yesterday's rain too"

Shit… I fucked up… What am I gonna do now… We were supposed to be in teams to bond better and to change our first impression…

"Ah! Well, we aren't that far away from my bedroom, why don't we go there?" Kiyoshi quickly suggested using his bedroom. He's right, the male bedrooms are like 5 minutes away right? H-He's my hero!

"Y-Yes! I'd love to!"

As I said that, I looked at Hana who slightly blushed at Kiyoshi's idea.

It took me until we arrived to Kiyoshi's bedroom to understand why Hana may have blushed…

I-It was my first time going into a boy's room!...

"U-Uhm… I know it's kinda messy but… please feel free to sit on the beds or wherever you'd like…"

I could feel a slight blush on my face. From outside, I'd probably look like a tourist coming to Japan for the first time, looking everywhere and gasping at every small detail.

I looked at Hana to find her also blushing but she had her face fixed to a pair of bed sheets next to the laundry bin. They looked recently cleaned… C-Could it be?!-

As I sat next to Hana in the bed and while Kiyoshi looked for a chair I asked her a question

"H-Hey Hana-san"

"Y-Yes?"

"T-This is kinda embarrassing but… T-This is my first time coming to a male bedroom"

"A-Ah, really?"

"Yes… But I can assume it's not yours, right?

"H-Huh?!" Hana seemed to blush harder than before. "O-Of course it is! I've never been here!"

Ah… I see… Even though I didn't especifically ask if she came here before she already negated it… S-So my theory is correct…

K-Kiyoshi and Hana are an item! O-Or were… That would explain yesterday's interaction…

I-I'll have to investigate further…

"Sorry I'm back… I-I brought some tea I made myself!"

"...Y-You made it?"

"A-Ah y-yes… A friend of mine liked this one so I bought it"

Mmm… Isn't that Dandelion and lemon tea? Hana's favorite mix? Hehe… No wait… We have more important stuff to talk about.

" *Ahem*... So… Let's start the discussion, should we?

As Hana and Kiyoshi shily nodded, we started meditating about today's topic: How to fix most of Hachimitsu's academy current problems.

"So, have any of you some ideas?"

"I have… But nothing ground changing" Hana was the first one to talk. "In the past, the USC started selling both photo albums and bookmarkers to the students to collect money for the poor. We can do the same but to collect money for the trip"

A solid idea. It won't make us rich but will definitely help gain some cash for it.

"Here, I brought the camera with some photos for you to see" Hana passed me her camera. It looked like an expensive one.

Ah, that's right, Hana joined the photography club in the past, she was known to be the one to produce the USC's fliers. Even with that…these photos were…

"T-They are actually really good photos, Hana"

"T-Thanks"

I handed the camera to Kiyoshi, I could see Hana get a bit nervous 

"W-Wow, I didn't know you were this good!"

"O-Of course I am, what did you expect!" Hana said that like she was angry, but I could see a fading smile on her face.

"Your skills are amazing Hana-san. I heard you always liked to takes photos about everything you liked"

"Y-Yes I do… *ahem* B-But I know that won't be enough, and it would 100% rely on the students. So it can only be a temporary solution"

She was right. That wouldn't be enough. We had to find some other solutions quickly. So we started brainstorming.

"Hmm? A club festival you said?"

"Y-Yes! I thought about it when coming here! It could help boost morale while getting money from there!" Kiyoshi's idea was the first one to actually look promising after 50 lame ones.

"Hmm…" It's not a bad idea. I've heard many other academies host a similar event from time to time. If we manage to make the clubs join us, it could work

"And who would be the clients?" Asked Hana. Good question actually.

"Hmm… The families? It could be a good change of air for our students while also proving to them that our academy still is the prestigious place it has always been."

"A-Ah, Good idea Kate-san!"

"Yes… That could work. I can take care of promoting it"

"That would be perfect, Hana-san! We should tell Meiko and if she likes it we'll begin planning everything as fast as possible" I added with a smile. "Let's plan some stuff ahead, should we?"

"Sure! But let me go get some hot water before that"

"That would be delightful, Kiyoshi-kun!"

As he left the room, I stood up and looked around the room. There seemed to be various different books, consoles and diaries of sorts. One of them was 'Andre's Slave Diary'... I rather not open that one.

Hmmm?

"Oh… Is this a video player?"

As I reached to grab it, Kiyoshi entered the room and Hana finally looked in my direction

"W-Wait!"

"D-Don't touch it!"

"?!..."

Both of them screamed at the same time.

"A-Ah! I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't be touching other peoples stuff"

"Nono, I-It's okay…"

As Kiyoshi looked nervous and Hana was blushing with her eyes wide open, I figured something out. Why did she scream too? If I had any doubts she came here before, now I know for sure…

"...?!?!"

W-What?

I looked next to the player to find a small disc next to it, labeled as "My first time"...

I-Is this… It can't be…

"A-ah sorry, I didn't have any more water on the other room, maybe I should go get some at the nea-"

"D-Don't worry, Kiyoshi-kun, I'll go get it"

I quickly got out of the room to catch some air. I was blushing just from thinking about it… C-Could it be true?

I walked to the cafeteria, it was only 10 minutes away. I got some water and decided to go back to the room…. b-but…

T-That disc… Hana has already been in his room, I know that… And the fact that she always likes to photograph or record his favorite moments… Plus the fact that I already saw photos of them together…

T-That means…

They filmed their first time together?!

I felt a small shiver in my lower body.

T-That's so… irresponsible!... So… Inappropriate… So…

H-Hot!

N-No, Kate… Y-You are just imagining things… T-That's probably another stuff… M-Maybe it's a normal adult movie or his first time doing any other stuff…

You just deliver the hot water and talk about the future festival…

"H-Hana… I'm sorry…" I heard whispers coming from Kiyoshi's room…

S-Should I knock on the door before coming in? I-I mean they won't be making anything weird, right?

A-Ah… I could look through the peephole… J-Just to be sure…

I blushed while my body got a bit hot… As I looked through the doorknob, I saw Kiyoshi and Hana on bed, Kiyoshi on top of her…

W-What is going on in there?

Kiyoshi's POV:

T-That was a close call… Kate-san almost saw the porn video next to the video player… Or at least I hope she didn't… Maybe that's why she went out to grab some water for the tea…

But now… 

"..."

"..."

I'm alone with Hana… And she's not saying anything, again… This is getting kinda awkward…

"y-you… cleaned them well…"

"H-Huh?"

"t-the bed sheets… did any of the guys notice it?..." Hana was whispering while looking in another direction, it was kinda hard to understand her.

"U-Um… N-No… I cleaned everything, so they shouldn't know…"

"..."

"S-So uhm… D-Do you think I could join the kitchen club? I-I'd like to try some cooking or baking with you and Sato-san"

"S-Sure… Just don't burn anything…"

"I-I'll try my best…"

Damn… It's even harder than before to talk to her… What should I say? Should I apologize again? I don't think that will be enough but…

"H-Hana-san, I'm-"

"I'm sorry…"

Before I could say anything, Hana apologized to me out of nowhere.

"H-Huh?"

"... I'm sorry for taking you down that day…"

Ah… So she means when she took my pants off…

"N-No… it's okay… that's my fault too…" The ambient turned darker for a second.

"..."

"Hana… Can I ask you a question?"

"W-What is it?"

Hana finally looked me in the eyes. Her face was slightly blushed and her eyes looked like a mix between anger and sadness. Damn it… Should I ask her this question now?

"L-Last saturday, when I proposed to Chiyo… Why did you do it?"

"H-Huh?! I-I told you before! I wanted to protect Chiyo from a pervert like you!" She said while standing up.

"I-I know that you said that… b-but is that the only reason?!"

"W-What?! What are you trying to say?!" As she jumped a bit by my question she took a step backwards. Without realizing that one of Shingo's book was under the bed.

Hana stepped on it and slipped. Shit! She's gonna hit her head!

I jumped as fast as I could and grabbed her.

"...?!"

"A-Are you okay?!"

"... W-What are you doing?"

It took me a second to realize what she meant. I was on top of her while grabbing her hips and head.

"I-I'm sorry I meant to grab you so you wouldn't-"

"S-Shut up! W-What are you trying to do, freak?!"

"N-No I'm…?!"

Hana blushed with an angry face, but I could see tears falling from her eyes.

"W-Why are you crying? W-What's wrong?"

"j-just leave me alone…"

"I-I won't! I want to help you Hana!"

Hana seemed to finally break after my words… She suddenly started crying a bit harder and looked away.

"y-you wouldn't get it… y-you still have something I want…"

"H-Huh?... I-It's this because… I peed on you on Chiyo's birthday?"

"N-No, Asshole! B-But I'm gonna get my revenge because of that too… w-we are not even yet, you hear me?"

"Y-Yes ma'am…" I said. Deep down I know I will repent once more for agreeing to getting peed on in the future but… damn it. "S-Still… Y-You can talk to me, right? Y-You said it before, y-you don't feel bad when talking to me, right?"

Hana blushed and looked at me in disbelief. "W-What does that mean? O-Of course I feel bad when talking to a pervert like you!"

"S-Still you can tell me what's wrong!"

Hana looked me in the eyes for a second. I blush too. Why does she look kinda… cute?!

"Y-You are really worried about me, aren't you?"

"Of course I am! You matter to me Hana!-"

S-Shit… I didn't mean it to make it sound like that… Now I'm blushing like an idiot.

"...Y-You made me feel like shit when we came back home last saturday"

?!

"I waited for you to wake up under the rain after getting peed on by you, I waited so we could both get on a taxi and still you screamed at me…"

I-I see… I did act like an asshole…

"H-Hana-san… I'm sorry… I didn't mean to harm you…"

"J-Just get off me before I kill you…"

O-Oh right… Kate could come by any second. But before I could get up, Hana grabbed me by the neck.

"W-Wait… D-Don't move…"

"W-Wha- Why?"

"J-Just don't…" I saw Hana's hand move down trying to reach for something…

O-OH FUCK… I-I didn't notice it but Hana's skirt has gone under the bed right… d-does that mean that she's…

"D-Don't move, asshole!"

"I-I'm sorry!…"

"C-Close your eyes, If you open them, I-I'll kill you, I swear"

I closed my eyes and felt Hana put her skirt back on, but I wanted to wait until she told me to open them. S-Still… I could feel her really close to me.

"O-Okay… you can open them…"

As I opened my eyes I found Hana's face next to mine, she wasn't making eye contact but we were centimeters apart from each other.

"W-Why are you so close"

"I-I had to put it on this way so you wouldn't get off me!"

Hana blushed as she said that.

"Y-You wanted me to stay on top of you?"

Hana punched me with all her force as I asked that. It hurt really bad. "N-No, asshole! I-I did so you wouldn't see me naked!"

"S-Sorry…"

Some time after that, Kate came back looking as red as a tomato, she probably ran as fast as she could to get the water while I was goofing around, Sorry Kate-san.

We planned some other stuff for the festival and we decided on everyone's roles:

Meiko and Kate would organize the whole stuff. They will tell the teachers to say that the idea came from the higher ups so no one would know that both councils are working together. They'll both make sure to make most clubs join in the event while organizing some other stuff, like invitations, rules and everything related to money.

Hana, Mitsuko and I will be in charge of making sure the clubs get ready for the festival. Hana will make sure to help the clubs promote their shows or shops, while Mitsuko and I will help them get and organize whatever they need.

Risa will be in charge of security and making sure nothing goes wrong. We'll also ask Anzu and the boys if they want to join in for that. I'm sure Andre will help us at least.

With that done and after some hot tea to (ironically) cool down the situation, Kate decided to go home as it was getting late. Hana decided to stay for a bit more to talk about the clubs and stuff…

"S-So… Won't you need help making the fliers and posters?"

"N-No, I'm good at those, you just make sure to hand them once they are done"

"Y-Yes, I will"

I guess the bed accident didn't help us fix the situation before but this is getting ridiculous. I wanted to be able to talk to her like before… before…

"B-By the way… I'll give you my phone number so I can tell you once they are done okay?"

"O-Oh… y-yes that would be good" I blushed when she said that.

"W-Why are you getting so worked up?!"

"I-It's the first time a girl gives me her phone number…"

Hana blushed from this and punched me in the arm

"Ouch!"

"I-It's just for this okay? D-Don't get any ideas"

"Y-Yes…of course"

Hana gave me her number and grabbed her stuff.

"S-So um… I'm going home…"

"Y-Yes… S-See you, later…"

"B-Bye"

…

D-Damn! I-I didn't know getting a girl's number could feel this good! I feel renewed!

Surprisingly… The day went pretty well! I-It was kinda awkward but nothing I'll hate myself forever or anything like that!

And it didn't rain today… Was this PBR-sama's doing? If only I knew…

[...]

After dinner and talking about the festival with the guys. I received a phone message:

'Hey. It's Hana. Just making sure you got the right number.'

W-Wow… A girl texted me… This feels… Exciting!

'Hi Hana. Yes, I got it right. Sleep well! See you tomorrow'

Was that a bit to much? I never texted any girl before…

*Notification sound*

'You too. See you later.'

A genuine smile appeared on my face. One I haven't have since last saturday.
