“When did this happen?” as Xia Min as he held her hand.

Xia Min took her hand, slightly raised it toward himself. When he saw the deep scar on her hand, he frowned subconsciously.

“Sorry, what?” Xia Liang still hadn’t gotten what he was trying to say.

“Why didn’t you tell me about the wound on your arm?” asked Xia Min, pointing at the ferocious scratches on her arm.

“Oh.” Xia Liang looked down at the scar, “I told you before but you didn’t care since you were too busy.”

Xia Min looked at his well-behaved sister at this moment and remembered it now.

She cried crazily to ask him to apply medicine for her right after they chased away the monsters.

But he hated her cries most. Plus he was worn out after a hard fight against two monsters, he just ignored her and left. He didn’t check her wound at all.

He kind of heard that she was accusing him of being brutal and heartless, and that he never too her as his sister and didn’t care about her at all.

Xia Min thought at that that time that since she still had the energy to cry so hard, she wouldn’t have gotten wounded so severely.

He never expected the wound was so deep.

Now she was neither crying nor making a scene, and she even called him brother gently. His sister had never been this good before.

The responsibility to take good care of his sister started to awaken in his heart.

He started to care about her wellbeing. Now for her sister, he grew less indifference but more concerns.

“Take some rest. I will make a fire.” Xia Min let go of her arm, “I will apply some medicine for you later.”

“It’s alright. It doesn’t hurt that much. I can help.” Xia Liang shook her head, “We can save the medicine for future use.”

Xia Min was amazed how greatly and abruptly his sister had changed.

He was kind of confused why his sister grew up so suddenly. But he didn’t pry. She might have learned her lesson from the fight against the monsters.

“This is good. Keep the way you are now. Never make troubles. Be a good girl.” Said Xia Min as he flicked her forehead tenderly.

Xia Min wouldn’t have said such words before because Xia Liang would never listen to a word of him.

Now that she was becoming reasonable, Xia Min felt very happy and expressed his expectations on her.

“Hmm. I won’t make troubles. I will listen to you.” Smiled Xia Liang while nodding slightly.

Xia Min flicked her forehead slightly again as he heard her and saw her smile. Then he turned away to fetch their sleeping bags.

Xia Liang rubbed her forehead and wondered why her brother liked flicking her forehead so much. What kind of habit was that?

If they wanted to make fire, Xia Liang and Xia Min’s sleeping bags were naturally the first ones to be burnt for sure.

Since they already made sacrifice and solved the problem, others including Captain Sun just let go of the emergency light incident.

Then everybody started to take out their own sleeps bags, and then tore down the tents, cut them into stripes to burn slowly.

With a wisp of fire lasting overnight by burning those pieces of their sleeping bags and tents, they finally made it to daybreak.

When the sun rose and casted the first ray ff sunshine, everybody was finally relieved.

“Wow! Finally I can see the sun! I have never looked forward to sunshine so badly like this before! I feel like I was reborn!” shouted Ye Fei excitedly as he stretched his body.

Like him, others were also overjoyed, although exhausted.

Xia Liang stood up and slightly looked up ahead, thinking “This is only the beginning of the nightmare.”
