A little later.
When Ariene left the farm, the girls decided to get reacquainted.
- Alice, my speciality is melee combat, but I'm not good at it. I was rescued by my master. - Alyssa introduced herself succinctly, glancing at the girls who were small in stature compared to her.
- Hiro, heroine! My strength is melee combat and I have no equal in that, except for Sister Elvina! I too, well, hee hee, was saved by my brother! He pulled me out of hell and gave me a new incentive! Take care of me! - Crossing her arms, the blonde-haired girl bowed.
- Yu-yuki, cold mage. I don't know much, but I'll try my best! I'm weak, but I'm diligent! Ummm... I wasn't rescued by a lord, but, he's a good one! He got me out of trouble, he hired me and I won't let him down! Take care of me... Hiro, Alice. - Yuki repeated in the same gesture as Hiro.
As soon as they introduced themselves to each other, they fell silent, looking at each other. It was hard to tell what each of them was thinking, but after a moment, the oldest, in her opinion, took the floor.
- Now that we've introduced ourselves, my goal is simple - not to let you die! So, work together in a co-operative manner and listen to me! Do I make myself clear? - Alice said, crossing her arms across her chest and spreading her legs shoulder-width apart.
- Of course, Alice-chan! Brother's friend is my friend too! - Nodded unscrupulously Hiro, glancing at Alice with a curious look in her eyes. She had many questions regarding their relationship with her brother Arien, but she was in no hurry to ask them, preferring words to observation.
- H-hai! I'll do my best! - Not knowing how to react in such a tense moment, Yuki simply agreed. This was the first time she was so tense, she felt like these two individuals could shoot lightning from their eyes, she decided not to interfere in any other way.
- 'Since that's the case, let's discuss some details and questions...' Alice nodded with a slightly satisfied smile, motioning for the other girls to sit down.
Discussing many questions concerning one person, the girl and the girls did not notice how it was already evening outside the window, and they were disturbed by another person. A common acquaintance of one person and the 'first' girl for the role of the head of the 'harem guard'.
- Sister! - Having noticed, Hiro rushed into the arms of the smiling red-haired beauty, immediately blurted out about the recent meeting with her brother, thus slightly shocking Elvina. Alice, driven by curiosity, silently studied her ward and the purpose of her assignment.
- Mister was here?! - Elvina exclaimed emotionally, squeezing Hiro's shoulders demandingly, but she didn't even grimace, just didn't feel anything.
- Yes, sister, look at the gifts he gave me! Oh, he didn't forget about you either! Don't be sad, brother Arien left gifts for you too and promised to come back in a month! - A satisfied Hiro began to spin around excitedly, pulling out a 'present' for Elvina from her bag.
The latter, thinking to herself, reacted only after a few seconds, when Hiro, not waiting for a reaction, started braking her, bringing her out of her thoughts.
- W-what's up? It's a bit of a shame, but since he promised...' Elvina smiled with a storm in her soul, clutching the hilt of her lord's gifted sword. Afterwards, she noticed the other two individuals, feeling strange feelings on her heart, but they were quickly buried by the other 'warrior's' feelings. - Who are they? - She frowned, looking at the silent girls.
As soon as she turned her attention to them, Alice took the floor.
- So that's who you are, Elvina... allow me to introduce myself! First servant of lord and master Arien! I am here to keep you from dying, and I see he did not send me here for nothing! - Alice stepped majestically out of the shadows, bowing slightly.
- What? A servant... Hiro... who are these people? - Elvina asked in bewilderment, not believing what she heard. After all, she was Elvina, the first 'servant', and no one else could argue with that!
Another persona intervened in their conversation, glancing nervously at them.
- 'A-am, n-excuse me, Yu-yukiona, the personal servant... if you can call it that, of Mr Arien...' Yuki timidly squeezed the words out of her mouth.
- And you... What's going on here! - A confused Elvina demanded immediate answers, feeling strange sensations again. She couldn't believe that she had missed out on meeting a dear person, and was also surprised by the new guests. Though she was a 'warrior', she was also a girl, which only brought out the jealous side of her. So, she assumed the defiant, proud posture of a warrior and swordswoman that she wouldn't back down, and glared demandingly at Alice.
They are going to have a long conversation, where between Alice and Elvina will erupt an argument who will become the leader of the group and many other issues, which will bring them together on the same wave of sympathy for the same guy. They will become, if not friends, then definitely partners, someone they can trust with their backs. Or maybe they would become rivals or....
The rest of the day is spent getting to know each other again. They have a lot to learn about each other....

In my head was playing foreign music, the name of which, alas, I did not remember, but at my request, Mika found it, and afterwards produced for better concentration.
Now, on a run, I was training on my plan - 'how to pump up in three days and become a dark lord'. I had other plans as well, but this was the one I decided to implement now. As the first on the list, and not alone, along with me, sis also did not stand and at my admonition was doing the same as me. And together we trained 'reinforcement', accompanying it with different situations like running battles and on and on the list goes.
The training was paying off: being in accelerated perception, the abilities were swinging, characteristics too, but with a creak and very slowly, but even so it's better than I was a week ago.
On the way I was assessing everything in sight, and I was running through the thicket, thus pumping up my perception, jumping over or around branches and bushes, occasionally making sharp jerks forward.
I even had to hide my notifications because of the abundance of pop-ups.
My little sister was rushing after me, but she couldn't keep up, so I had to keep up with her so she wouldn't fall too far behind, but even so I had a hard time maintaining a similar speed to hers.
I'll tell you a secret, I've never run like this before in my life to the point of exhaustion, which I can't feel now, and if my muscles started to ache, healing came into play, and so on all round.
And to summarise, I was on a rigid programme of developing my physical skills along with my magical skills. Some of the skills were difficult, and some - very easy, such as: jerk, evaluation, even a bit of stealth and premonition, the latter, and so at all was under a huge boost and grew like on yeast. It was a pity that the swordsmanship skill disappeared, as well as the sword of Auret - but it was not critical and did not interfere with my plans. Besides, I was going to catch up on this skill with my little sister, and sparring together would be good too.
Still, I need to dot all the right points, understand my weaknesses, help my sister and so on and so forth. In short, I had a lot of plans and so far things were progressing well.
We ran non-stop, off the road so as not to draw attention to ourselves, and saw a lot of interesting things. Monsters of all sorts were only a fraction of what I saw out of the corner of my eye, and those were in a hurry to escape long before I could stretch out and gain experience.
We were running too loudly and scaring away all sorts of critters, something less huge and dangerous was nowhere to be seen, and it would be so nice to give the souls of the monsters to my Miku.
- Brother! Don't run so fast! - came a voice full of tiredness from behind my little sister, and I slowed down, waiting for her to catch up with me.
It was slightly surprising, in fact and build, my sister should be faster than me, but under the reinforcement it was the opposite.
- Haaaa... haaaa, you're too fast, I'm hurting all over...' my sister looked at me pitifully, and I relented, using dark healing on her. But to make it work, I touched the exposed part of her skin. She immediately turned pink in my hands and her breathing returned to normal, but I could tell from her emotions that she was a bit playful and just wanted intimacy.
It was exciting and pleasurable to be aware of someone else's emotions like that. It was especially good when I felt her desire to hug and snuggle up to me.
- That's it, you should feel better now! - I smirked at her contrived game, and squeezed Arinée's soft ass. The soft and pliable part crumpled pleasantly in my hands, however, it was an oversight in the design of her armour, but not critical in our case. It was unlikely that anyone would be able to see the exposed part - after all, she had a skirt-like hem that hid the exposed skin perfectly.
- S-thank you, brother... - her face bled and she gave me her gentle smile, clearly not averse to privacy under a bush. But I was adamant, and my dragon was under house arrest. And if it weren't for the surroundings, I wouldn't mind having some fun, but I pulled myself away when I remembered the plans. Now was not the time, even at night, alas, I would not be able to indulge myself, if only a little and only light petting.
Sis realised this too, but she reacted as usual - waiting for just me to want it.
After resting a bit and restoring my mana, I looked around, searching for possible game and experience for the day. The forest was green, the mountains were visible somewhere in the distance, and it was hard to see anything. It would take a good effort to find something. Overall, nothing new, except that different herbs caught my eye, but I have a whole bunch of them, which didn't stop me from collecting more. Maybe in the future I'll find a use for them and be able to brew different potions, I was also wondering how much more I could fit in the ring, the volume of which is still unknown.
Having failed to find any monsters worthy of my attention, we continued our run in the direction where my elves are. Smaller critters, alas, did not quote for the system, so I waited, cherished and hoped to meet the same bekogono or ancient, but everything was empty.
Becogonos are kind of like huge mantis insects, but their species differed in structure, and ancients were living trees or stumps.
We ran until evening and only then did we come upon a strange nech. We ran out into a small clearing through a thicket of bushes and encountered a strange monster. With black hide, under two metres tall, a massive figure and thin neck, pointed growths on its mane and back. Its paws were disproportionately sized to its hind limbs, and when it noticed us, it hissed like a snake.
- Hshaaaah!!! - It stood on its haunches and opened its mouth, from which two violet lights shone. With its appearance it didn't inspire danger, more of a stunner, but it made him tense up.
'What a monster! Evaluation!' - I immediately used my skill on it.
Deep Shrew - earth elemental
Danger level - medium
'Why is the evaluation so short, Mika?' - I wondered, since the monster was in no hurry to attack and only hissed threateningly.
'I've already mentioned, unknown creatures are not capable of being fully evaluated by the assessment! First, it must be studied itself and only then something will be known! But, this monster is definitely not those spiders, however, I wonder - does the element have a soul? Try to study its senpai, and I'll pick up the soul!' - Mika excitedly responded.
Mentally agreeing - it's still not every day I encounter something like this, I instructed my little sister not to interfere and did as asked. Without taking my sword out of its sheath, not because I'm cool, but because of the quality of the sword itself, I slowly began to approach the earth spirit, to which it followed me and hissed more and more aggressively.
'Hmm... the monster is clearly defending his territory... I knew I should have looked up the bestiary at the guild, if he was there of course.' - I grudgingly remembered my omission, promising myself to make up for lost opportunities.
- Funny beastie... funny... never seen an earth elemental before...' I examined it more and more, taking note of small details, applying my magical vision, noticing the dark, massive silhouette. The spirit was darkly coloured as it was, and it was darkly coloured here as well.
But, apparently, I overestimated the intellectual abilities of the 'spirit', because having crossed the territory known to the spirit, it rushed at me with a clear desire to kill me.
Straightforwardly, without any tactics, straight ahead, for which I paid the price by getting a fireball to the head.
- Hshaaa! - But he didn't care as if it was a mosquito bite. The fireball simply spread tongues of flame across his skin without causing any significant damage. Instead of damaging him, this act of aggression added a few points to his rage as he sped up, slow enough for me to dodge easily, but it was still dangerous.
- And this is even fun! - I easily dodged his ridiculous attacks. The monster was pounding the ground with its huge paws and trying to reach me with its toothless maw, but I had no trouble running around it, throwing remarks at it. I don't know why I said those things, but the shrew didn't even react to them and was mindlessly trying to hurt me. Eventually, after throwing a couple of fireballs at him in various parts of his body - to no avail, obviously - I drew my sword and swung a stabbing attack at the place where I thought he might have a weakness.
*The sword bounced off with sparks, not even doing any damage. The monster was impenetrable no matter where I aimed, and I didn't dare to strike with a swinging blow, reasoning that the sword would shatter like glass rather than do any damage.
I had no choice but to run around him, studying the monster. He was physically strong, leaving small 'craters' on the ground after each blow, his skin was impenetrable by a regular sword, and on weak magic he roughly - do not care, but he was clumsy, his intelligence is clearly below the most stupid robbers, and in the emotions in general calm from the void. I just can't feel his rage, despite his furious appearance.
In short, a stalemate. I couldn't penetrate him with normal attacks, weak magic - it's natural, the element of earth, but I pumped accelerated perception and my dexterity. It was like training with a live dummy, where the experience was much better than normal training.
It got to the point where I started using darkness magic and cloaked myself with it, but the monster kept attacking mindlessly, crushing everything under its paws. I also left a couple of blades of darkness - to no avail, but the swing required sacrifices.
In general, I used this opportunity to the fullest, even invited my sister to co-operate our actions and her pumping. Here we naturally began to get along synchronously - my sister skilfully adjusted to me, slowly torturing the spirit, but he was very enduring, since our ridiculous battle lasted until deep into the night. By this time, dark clouds covered the skies, hinting at the first bad weather of my life and a possible downpour.
But the outcome was amazing, progress was like a quiver! I was ecstatic. I had never raised so many levels in my abilities before! So you can easily understand me - there's such a dummy for battle here that I couldn't resist taking advantage of the opportunity. What is there to say, if I got as many as two new skills and one already lost?
Evasion-3.
There's a good chance you can dodge an attack.
Taming-2
The ability to tame lower monsters.
Fencing-2
Evasion was very clear. The movements of the monster and before that I read easily, and now I predicted and saw the 'plume' of his blows and intentions. But the taming... I did not expect that my actions will lead to this, only, I do not think that I can tame the one who initially has no mind.
I tried, but it didn't understand my words and messages. Pity the creature, and I didn't dare to pour my dragon liquid on it, because I knew for sure that it wouldn't work! And think about it, how could you twist yourself to do something shameful? I couldn't do it.
Zemleroy kept up with us when I decided to take a break away from him, so I had to throw a more powerful version of a fireball at him.
Not the first time, the shrew's resistance to fire was beyond any possible notion. I had to hit it about six or seven times, increasing the power each time to make it whimper, but even so it kept on attacking! Amazing tenacity and it was such a pity to kill him.
'Amazing! This monster is astonishing in its persistence! The monster would be a great tank and could be a good familiar, but spending a core on it sounds like a super stupid idea. Too bad it just can't be tamed,' I shook my head, dismissing the naughty thought of trying to douse it with my secret ingredient after all.
- Hshaaaah! - The sword's final, killing blow to the jaws was the last moment of the glorious shrew's life, and he fell silent. Along with him, the sword lost its integrity and shattered, but I didn't care about the loss of the weapon, I was more grieving for the deed.
- Fuhhhh, I got caught up with you, but thank you, you helped me out a lot and pulled me up... - I paid my last tribute to the monster. Such a good che... monster was, no one has ever done as much for me as he did! I'm exaggerating, of course, but it still hurts me to realise his loss. Maybe if I tamed him, in the future this monster would become a girl and another loyal companion in my life? Such were my thoughts.
'You took a long time with him, senpai,' Mika began to comment snidely, 'but I understand - it's a necessary measure! By the way, his soul did a great job of boosting his faith energy by as much as 40 units! Not much, but if we hunt them down, we can get stronger!'
I was unpleasant to hear her words, but I agreed with her. My goal was to become stronger. Maybe my decision was rash with that shrew, but... let's just forget him and let him go, he did his job and left in peace.
'Well... now I don't think we'll be meeting someone like him anytime soon. Besides, we made so much noise that all the wildlife in the area scattered. I'm not sure if we can find any other monsters, even Yuko isn't likely to find anything.' - I answered her, taking the monster carcass into my inventory for the last time.
- Okay... training time! Sis... damn, I lost my sword... and the new... hmm, spear? Well, we'll try that one too. Come on, get up, let's keep practising! And don't moan, your pitying look won't help either! What do you mean, tired?
After healing her and myself, I made her stand up, then we stood opposite each other with spears in our hands. I think it'll be a good experience for a night battle, and Yuko - having summoned her, if anything she'll be alert. I was a little annoyed that I had completely forgotten about her this morning - passionately training, filling my head with other thoughts, but I won't repeat such an oversight again!
'Status,' I took one last look at my progress before starting the second stage of training.
