He woke up suddenly, as if he had awoken from a long sleep. Stretching his whole body, he uncurled his eyelids, stared ahead and noticed a strange picture before his eyes.

It was a cave. A dark stone cave with three small men in it. Looking at one, he noticed that it had an elongated nose and pointy ears like the elves he had seen on the internet. Looking at the other two, he saw no difference in appearance.

'Where have I gone?' - were the thoughts in his head, and then he heard the sounds of battle, shouting and something else.

Rising from the floor, he shook off the dust and stared at his hands. He had four fingers instead of five, and his hand was also grey in colour. Looking around himself, he was convinced that he was just as human as those three.

Before he could fully consider his situation, he heard the sounds of battle cease and there was a long-awaited silence. At the same time, the rotten wood that replaced the door shattered with a powerful kick, and a man entered the room. He was completely covered in dark red bloodstains from his filthy steel helmet and leather armour to the chainmail made up of interlocked metal rings that covered his entire body.

'What, a goblin killer?' - he suddenly remembered the earlyboe he had recently read before going to bed.

At the same time, the person who entered stood in front of them, and the three goblins shook with fear and clutched together.

- 'There is no reason to let them live,' the assassin said and swung for a strike.

'Snap,' the swing of the club went through the head of a baby goblin, turning it into a bloody mess with bits of brains; drops of blood splattered the other goblins' faces.

- What if there are some good goblins among them? - A piercing female shriek sounded behind his back.

''Quack, another death...''

- A good goblin? Perhaps, if we looked. But as far as I'm concerned...

'Quack' - another blow took the goblin's life, turning his head into mush.

Actually, in front of me stood a man covered in the blood of the cave's natives. And he now raised his club above me, as if savouring the moment.

- Hela, 'Goblin Killer!' - I raised my hands up conciliatingly, speaking in the local language of the people. - I may look like a goblin, but I was human, at least I used to be. Why don't you put down your cudgel? And we can talk like normal... humanoids? - I glanced at him, hoping he wouldn't kill me.

- This... goblin-child is talking? - I heard a dumbfounded woman's voice behind the Goblin Killer. However, the one didn't even move and delivered his blow, and I felt an inexpressible pain.

'Crack' - my head burst like a watermelon, splashing its contents in all directions, and the girl who was behind his back stared dumbfoundedly at the killer.

- Why? - she said, looking at the corpse that had recently spoken in human language. The priestess simply couldn't believe it. The phrases of that goblin kept slipping into her mind: 'I was human, at least I used to be.'

A silence descended on the cave. 'The Goblin Killer stood motionless, looking at the corpse beneath his feet. The priestess didn't know what the man was thinking right now, and on a subconscious level she began to fear him a little.

- No matter what he said, he was still a goblin. Especially since he was more dangerous than you think,' the assassin said suddenly, turning to the priestess. - In the future, if he had survived, he could have been a problem for many villages. A thousand unfortunate deaths and broken lives of girls,' he said in a heavy bass, feeling a strange emotion. It was the first time he had met a goblin fluent in the human language.

However, putting his doubts aside, he clenched his fist tightly and gritted his teeth. He is the Goblin Killer, and it doesn't matter if that goblin spoke human language or not! Every goblin will be killed by his sword! Every cave and every goblin lair will be destroyed by him, and it doesn't matter what the other adventurers think of him.

Nodding to his thoughts, he tossed the picked up goblin weapons aside and approached the priestess who was now sitting on her heel, clutching her staff tightly in her hands.

- This is the twenty-second...

The story would have ended without beginning if not for the invisible goblin spirit standing over his corpse and staring into the back of his killer.

'fuck!' - the little goblin spirit felt anger and rage as he clenched his fists.
