Chapter 1839 - 1839 Old Liang Family Residence, Chi Shuyan Arrives

1839 Old Liang Family Residence, Chi Shuyan Arrives
As soon as Song Yanru said that, Qi Hao was thunderstruck and shocked. At that moment, he didn’t have time to think about how this woman had heard what he said to Fang Yu. Seeing that the woman in front of him was raising her ax to chop at him again, he felt a chill run down his spine as he hurried to save himself. “Sister Song, we… we don’t have any grudges. It’s not to the point of wanting to kill us, is it?”

It would have been fine if Qi Hao hadn’t said that, but as soon as he did, Song Yanru’s face turned hideous and deranged again. She stared fixedly at Qi Hao and repeated, “Why didn’t you die? Why didn’t you die? You should have died last night, you should have died last night!”

That sinister gaze made Qi Hao shiver, and his heart turned especially cold and his hair stood on end. He hadn’t been saved by his sister-in-law last night only to die under the ax of the woman in front of him in the end, right?

Qi Hao simply wanted to cry. He didn’t want to die. Afraid that the ax of the woman in front of him would fall, he deliberately spoke in order to buy himself some time. “Sister Song, since you want me to die, you should tell me why. We don’t have any grudges between us. Our relationship was fine before we came here.”

Song Yanru paused when she heard him. Qi Hao naively thought that if he played some emotional card, the other party would soften a little. Who would have thought that after he finished speaking, the woman would suddenly twitch and laugh sinisterly. There was also a strange look in her eyes. She didn’t laugh for long before her face immediately tensed again. Suddenly, there was inexplicable hatred in her eyes, and her gaze seemed to pierce his heart.

Qi Hao couldn’t understand what the woman in front of him was thinking, but he could vaguely sense that the resentment in her eyes probably had something to do with his sister-in-law.

Qi Hao was deep in thought, when the woman suddenly said inexplicably, “It is heaven’s will that you die. Go to hell!”

Fang Yu instinctively looked up and saw that the bloody rusted ax was only a few centimeters away from his head. He couldn’t dodge it even if he wanted to.

Qi Hao’s eyes widened in extreme unwillingness and horror. Just as he thought that he was going to die for sure, the ground suddenly shook.

The entire cave shook.

Song Yanru was caught off guard and fell to the side. The ax in her hand hit the ground, coincidentally sinking into the dirt between Qi Hao’s legs.

Qi Hao had avoided being struck, but just a little further up, and it would have struck some place it shouldn’t. Qi Hao’s face was deathly pale and he was covered in cold sweat and lingering fear.
If he really had been struck in that place just now, he might as well die.

Before Qi Hao could heave a sigh of relief, the Song woman in front of him got back to her feet. She was still swaying, but that didn’t stop her from wanting to kill him with the ax. Her eyes were especially cold as she looked at him, as if she wanted to skin him alive. Cold sweat immediately soaked Qi Hao’s back and clothes.

Knowing that pleading with this woman was useless, Qi Hao could only go all out and yell, “Sister-in-law, save me, save me. If you don’t come back now, you won’t see me again!”

In response to Qi Hao, Song Yanru’s malevolent, deranged and gloating voice rang out. “Scream, scream. Let that Chi woman come and collect your corpse later!”

As if thinking of that Chi woman discovering Qi Hao’s mangled corpse, Song Yanru’s smile grew more and more malevolent and excited. She laughed wildly and smugly. “I’m the only one who can get out alive. Wait a little longer. Just you wait. I’ll make that Chi woman go to hell with you.” After a slight pause, the woman stared fixedly at the kid in front of her and continued to mutter to herself, “We originally had no grudges, but you all blocked my way. You all deserve to die. All of you deserve to die!”

After Song Yanru said that, she didn’t hesitate anymore. Once she was a little more steady on her feet, she stood firm on the ground and raised her ax with red eyes to swing at Qi Hao’s head.

She wanted to dig out all of the brains in this kid’s head. Song Yanru was especially excited and deranged, as if she could already see the bloody scene.

Before she could swing the ax down, however, something suddenly struck her wrist. Song Yanru screamed and subconsciously turned around. She was suddenly kicked hard in the chest. Song Yan’s scream was like a pig being slaughtered as she flew a few meters away and crashed into the stone wall.

Chi Shuyan used her spiritual energy to pull the ax toward her. As soon as it fell into her hand, she didn’t hesitate to immediately throw it in Song Yanru’s direction.

Song Yanru never thought that the ax she had used to chop people up would be used to do the same to her. She saw the bloody, rusty ax fly toward her.

Song Yanru’s head turned cold and her eyes felt like they were about to split open with horror as her eyes turned bloodshot. She widened her eyes and wanted to shout for help, but the ax was faster and hit her in the middle of her chest, immediately drawing blood.

Song Yan screamed mournfully. She fell down from the stone wall and spat out a large mouthful of blood. She glared at the woman in front of her with an indignant and terrified expression. Her lips trembled and she couldn’t utter a word for a long time. Her vision turned black and she suddenly fainted.

Chi Shuyan ignored Song Yanru. Cold killing intent flashed in her eyes. She crouched down beside Haozi and quickly said in a low voice, “It’s fine, Haozi!”

When Qi Hao realized that he wasn’t dead and that his sister-in-law was here, he wept tears of joy. If it wasn’t because he didn’t have the strength now, he would have thrown himself into his sister-in-law’s arms and cried.

How could he remain calm after so many brushes with death?

Besides, although he had experienced the burial mounds, he was still a young man in his early twenties, okay?

Qi Hao couldn’t help but call out with snot and tears running down his face, “Sister-in-law!”

“Okay, it’s fine, it’s fine. We can’t stay here. Let’s leave right away!” As soon as Chi Shuyan said that, Qi Hao suddenly heard something big which seemed to be headed in their direction.

His face changed drastically. Chi Shuyan didn’t say much and immediately fed a pill to Fang Yu and an unconscious Lu Ningwen, whom she had brought back with her.

Once all three boys were awake, she immediately led them out of the cave. “Let’s go!”
