Everyone was in a festive mood. In the spacious room of the Main Family's house were all the members of the Uzumaki Clan and some members of other Clans. They were sitting at a beautiful table decorated with all sorts of goodies and, strangely enough, at the head of the table sat not the Head of the Clan, but a small blond boy with blue eyes. At some point the lights were switched off with a click and a red-haired guy came in holding a huge cake with six candles on it. Everyone sang happily and the birthday boy jumped up from his chair with a twinkle in his eye, barely able to keep from just pouncing on the treat. Menma slowly brought the cake over to the table and placed it right in front of Naruto.
- Come on, Naruto. Make a wish and blow out the candles. - Mariko smiled at him.
- Okay! "..." - The boy closed his eyes and silently, said something. Ryoshi and I almost laughed as Naruto couldn't hide anything and we could easily read his lips what he wished for. I wonder if we recognised it, will his wish come true? - Ugh! - Fingers crossed, the brother blew out the candles and the room went dark, then the bright lights came back on.
- Happy Birthday, Naruto! - shouted loudly by everyone present and the birthday boy smiled happily with a funny smile.
Heh, still despite everything that had happened the festival was a success and Naruto was happy. Thanks to the festival and the fact that almost everyone in the community attended we were able to invite many of Naruto's friends. Shikamaru, Chouji, Ino, Sasuke and some of his classmates including Hinata, who had her brother with her. Surprisingly, the young Green Beast of Konoha also came to the party, who knows how the hell that happened, but it was a fact, and Sakura came too. Naruto was happy to see all the guests, and she came only because of Sasuke, but she congratulated her brother and didn't insult him. Apparently, the good attitude of so many people towards the birthday boy made her suppress her own dislike for him or she was just completely infatuated with Sasuke. By the way, it seems most of the girls were here for the same reason she was. I'm not sure about Ino, though, and Hinata didn't really go near him, and in general she stayed away from everyone, so who knows. With the kids came their parents, well one of the parents of each of them. Before the party I was able to apologise to some of the Heads and Ryoshi resolved the situation. I also apologised to Shikaku-sensei sincerely, yes, I used to put my acting skills on full blast. He said he understood and wasn't angry at my behaviour, but advised him to keep his anger in check and not to be influenced by Fox.
Ryoshi was surprisingly quick to restore the house and after some interrogation, with bias of course, explained how he did it. At first, though, his, "Seal of Restoration." didn't tell me much and I had to keep brainstorming. It turned out to be simpler than that. I don't know where, but he had somehow managed to get some knowledge of seals of this kind. The Seal of Restoration worked by returning anything to its original position before it was destroyed or damaged. Simply put, it would rewind time for the item and it would be restored in seconds. But you couldn't just put a seal on a destroyed item, it was more complicated than that. The seal would be placed before the item was destroyed or damaged, and when it was restored, the time for the item would be rolled back to when the seal was placed. Ryoshi had set one for the whole house and changed it every morning, and today was no exception. The seal didn't work on living beings and also wasted quite a bit of energy. So you can use it on simple things, but to use it on more complex things, for example, to restore some Technique from chakra on which you need to put the seal, it is better not to because the cost of this is times greater than the cost of a simple creation of the same Technique. To put it simply, to restore the Water Pillar, for example, after its use, it is necessary to spend two or even three times more chakra, as well as with the restoration of other Fuin-seals. And there must be something left of the Technique to restore it. It's easier to just create a new one. So the option of using this seal in battle is out, unless it's in private cases, when it's just perfect.
After a while, the guests began to disperse, and after an hour only the members of the Uzumaki family remained in the house. And that's when we decided to begin.
- Naruto, you've already opened the other guests' gifts, and now it's time to open ours. - began Mariko-san.
- Yes! More presents! - Well, we agreed beforehand to give them at the end, because Ryoshi's gift would surprise a lot of the guests. Mariko pulled out from nowhere, maybe printed out, a green box with a red ribbon.
- Happy birthday. - Without hesitation, the little brother opened his present right away and pulled out a pair of green steampunk style glasses for everyone to see. Yeah, just like in the original anime. Yeah, looks like canon is trying its best to recover, hopefully there won't be an Orange Horror? Anyway, Naruto was excited about them and immediately put them on, saying he'd wanted them for a long time, and Mariko remarked that she'd seen him staring at them, so she bought them. Karin was next. Embarrassed, she handed him a small wooden figurine in the shape of a child's version of the orange-coloured cutie Kurama. That's right, my work. Or rather, I didn't make the statue, but without realising it, I pushed her to do it. Afraid that she would feel the Fox's hateful chakra thanks to her sensory talents and get scared, I tried to explain everything as gently as possible, and showed Karin what the Fox was really like. Certainly not the original size, but his childish appearance and she really liked it. After that she decided to do it for Naruto and I even posed under Henge for the cause. Really Kurama didn't like the fact that I was using the child version of him.
- I don't believe you and your pet are bad demons! I know you are good and I believe you can prove it to others. - Naruto stared at her in surprise, making the girl even more embarrassed. I, on the other hand, nudged my little brother and said in his ear.
- Take it, she carved it herself especially for you.
- For me? - Oh, no tears, Naruto. Save them for when you meet your parents.
- Happy birthday!
- THANK YOU!!! - after Naruto's hug, Karin blushed completely. I even thought the colour of her hair turned more scarlet. Hmmm...
- Sister Mina, what are you getting me? - Wow, he's already starting to demand presents. The kid's getting cocky, but whatever, he's allowed it today.
- Happy birthday, Naruto. - after I saw what she had given him, a heartbreaking scream went through my head: ORANGE HORROR!!!! Although no, that's not him. But how similar!!! Really, it was a small version of that anime bro's outfit. There were some differences, but overall it was the same. Ughhh, how I wanted to just burn it at this point, but I changed my mind. Well, Naruto isn't a Shinobi yet, so it's too early to think about the camouflage clothes, and this is a brightly coloured beast...hopefully by the time he graduates, the brother will come to his senses. Oh well. Naruto also thanked Mina and immediately put on her gift. Hmm, if he were older, he would be indistinguishable from the canon version. I'm getting flashbacks from the look of him.
- Okay, now, here's my present. - I quickly pulled a box out of the Inventory and handed it to Naruto. Without hesitation, he opened it and stared at its contents in surprise. - I know it's not the season yet, but I figured this was the best time to give it to you.
- A scarf? - Even Ryoshi stared at me in surprise. "You seriously don't remember?" I thought then looking at him.
- When Mum got into knitting, it was the first thing she decided to make. While she was pregnant with you, Naruto, she knitted this scarf with a happy smile while looking at you. I kept it for a long time and I think it was just for you. - The clone seemed to finally remember and was already looking at the gift with a smile. Naruto held it in both hands for a while and then said quietly.
- Mum... - yeah, the tears were coming. - Thank you, brother. - He jumped up and wrapped his small arms around me and hugged me tightly.
- Happy birthday, Naruto. - I smiled and stroked his head.
***
- So, Naruto. Are you ready? - Ryoshi leaned over and touched his shoulder and looked him straight in the eyes.
- Yes, Datebayo! - His voice was confident, but his brother was trembling and Clone could tell.
- Naruto, I'll be with you, so don't worry. - Bisyonen's smile can be comforting.
- I'm starting. - Ryoshi looked at me and warned me. - Mangekyo Sharingan. - The scarlet pattern of his Dojutsu flashed in the Clone's eyes for a second, and then the whole world went dark for me....
When I opened my eyes, I realised I was in a different place. Dark corridors of the sewers, lit by a dim, yellow light, my feet in warm water, all sorts of pipes on the walls leading in a certain direction. As I moved slightly forward, I realised that Naruto was holding my hand. He was looking around with interest in his eyes, but he couldn't budge. Looking to my left, I saw Clone, also scrutinising his surroundings.
- It's been a long time since I've been here. - he said, holding his hands out in a thoughtful gesture.
- You haven't been. This isn't my cage, it's Naruto's, remember?
- Oh, right, right. So, what were we supposed to do?
- We're supposed to follow the pipes that lead to the room with the cage.
- All right, let's go. - and I was about to follow him, but I felt my brother not moving.
- Naruto? Is something wrong? - he jerked violently when I turned to him.
- No, it's just... - he hesitated.
- Hmm, do you want to ride on my back?
- Yes, I do! - With a smile, I picked him up and followed the Clone.
- Naruto, are you scared? - I asked him, looking up at the ceiling of the corridors for a light source.
- No, I'm just...nervous.
- Of what? I told you Kurama wasn't a bad Foxy at all.
- No, I...I'm...I'm going to see my dad and mum for the first time. - Huh, I see.
- Don't be nervous about it. I'm sure you'll be thrilled to see them! And they'll love you, too, I'm sure of it!
- Really?
- How could they not? After all, our father is the Fourth Hokage himself, a war hero, the Yellow Lightning of Konoha, and the saviour of the entire Hidden Leaf Village. And mum is the former Jinchuriki Kyubi no Yoko, one of the strongest Jonin, Bloody Habanero and also the saviour of our entire Village. You can't help but like them!
- Waaah! Are they really our parents? And I'm their son?!
- Of course you are. You were just a baby the last time they saw you, but I'm sure they'll get to know you quickly!
- Oh, they'll love me? - Naruto's unsure tone was even cute in a way. Heh, where did he get that insecurity from?
- Naruto, they already love you. - My brother wrapped his hands around my throat tighter and I even felt like he was ready to strangle me! After a few more minutes of wandering, we heard a distinctive rumble. - *BUH-BUH-BUH-BUH-BUH!!!* - the sound came from the front and I hurried towards it. Turning left at the next bend, I saw a passage into a giant hall. We made it.
- Answer me! Who the hell are you?! - I looked round the room and saw a huge blond fox sitting behind a red grate. He was pawing at his barrier and through the gaps, it looked like he was trying to catch something. Activating my Sharingan, as the distance from the entrance to the cage was considerable, I saw the scarlet-haired boy studying the seal on the cage and lazily dodging the Fox's huge paws. Kyuubi was already freaking out, his chakra and Bloodlust phoning the whole room. His YAKI didn't work on me, but Naruto was ready to shit himself.
- Hey, Ryoshi! Do something about his pressure! Naruto can't take it! - I shouted to the Clone standing on the bars.
- I was almost done. Try to fight off his YAKI with your own, directed of course. He's using it on an area, so you should be able to do it. - Hmm, indeed. By activating the Skill, I was able to deflect his pressure and practically cover Naruto.
- Are you okay, Naruto?
- Y-yes. Brother, is that the Nine-tailed Fox? - he pointed his finger at Kurama to get his attention.
- Jailer. What are you doing here?! - His first reference was to his brother, but he asked me. Although, there was a question in his expression as to why I had brought his Jailer here.
- Hello, Kurama. My name is Menma Uz.
- I know who you are. I asked you what you were doing here, not your name, you lowlife! - Hmm, yet he doesn't increase the pressure and even the first time I thought he was letting out a weak YAKI so as not to inadvertently kill the baby, I'm talking about Naruto now. Is it really Tsundere? By the way, Kurama, did you tell him about me?
- I'm not the only one. Isobu also talked to him and asked him to go easy on your brother. - Fox's voice sounded calm, only in my head.
- Okay. Do you want an honest answer? - I turned to Kurama the Light. He looked startled by the question, but he made it clear with a menacing expression that jokes were inappropriate. - We're here to talk to the Fourth Hokage, you know?
- He's not here, so get lost! - He was surprised at first, but he seemed to take my words as a joke and replied in a menacing manner, seemingly even increasing the pressure.
- I'm telling the truth, if you don't believe me. This guy, who is also a Three-Tailed Jinchuriki, is studying your seal right now to get out the chakra Minato left behind.
- You expect me to believe that crap?! You vile inferior creatures. You can't get enough of your own Tails and you've come for my power too?! - Fox persisted. Heh, his paranoia is even worse than mine and Ryosha's combined...yeah, it sounded funny, but that's beside the point.
- We're not going to do anything like that. If you don't believe me, you'll see when we're done.
- You think I'm gonna let you guys do this?! - But no matter how hard he tried to get at me, he couldn't, and even with all his hatred directed at Ryoshi, he couldn't stop him.
- Heh, Kurama, you're not going to succeed anyway, let's just...
- Don't you dare say my name! Pathetic other half. He told you his name and even let you call him that. How low he's fallen, you bloody scum!
- Don't talk about Kurama like that. - I involuntarily absorbed a little of Fox's hateful chakra and amplified my YAKI to full strength. Even Kyuubi was taken aback, not by the pressure, but by sheer surprise. - Say what you want about me, but don't you dare say that about my friend. Unlike you, he's not suffering from his own stupid hatred of humanity just because he met a couple of Uchiha. You should follow his example and think rationally.
- I'm not going to take advice from a child like you! Come closer and I'll tear you and your ridiculous brother to pieces. - Yeah, well, I shouldn't fight with him. I'm only making things worse between him and Naruto. I should stop doing that.
- It's a very tempting offer, but I have to decline. What about you, Naruto? - He was already looking at the Kyuubi Tails with interest, but he looked at me in surprise at my question. - I'm just kidding. Ha-ha-ha.
- It looks like it. - came his quiet voice. Looking at his newly acquired statue, he occasionally shifted his gaze to Kurama and back again.
– Пха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха-ха! Yes, that scary Little Fox used to be exactly like that.
- HEY! - ohh, simultaneous growls from two halves of Tails, with one being right at my head, not a very pleasant experience. Slowly lowering my little brother down, I sat down next to him and put my hand on his shoulder.
- Okay, I'd like you to meet him. This is Kurama. Kurama, this is Naruto.
- Nice to meet you. - He made a slow bow towards the cage.
- Come over here and I'll eat you whole! - was the answer from Kyubey.
- Don't pay attention to what he says. Even though he says so, he still hasn't pressed his aura on you. - That's true. When I put Naruto down, he was no longer protected by me, but he was behaving normally. Fox's aura might be weaker because of that Cage, but it's still not insignificant, and Naruto wouldn't even be able to withstand something like that. Kurama just wants to be hated and isn't going to get attached to the man or deal with him at all. Maybe he's just resentful of everyone, though I'm not really interested in finding out. I'm counting on your Narutotherapy, bro, especially since I've been wanting to see it in action for a long time.
- Do it again.
- The original! I'm done. Let's get started. - Ryoshi interrupted Kurama. He came down and gave us a thumbs-up.
- How do you do that?
- It's simple. Father's seal that was supposed to activate in the event of the Eighth Tail's appearance works roughly like an alarm system. I'll just give it a false alarm, that's all.
- Hmm, how are you going to call Mum?
- That's up to Dad. When he shows up, I don't think he'll have any trouble doing that.
- Okay. Naruto, are you ready? Naruto? - the little one was shaking more than ever. Is he that worried?
- Yes, Duttebayo! - That's good.
- Go ahead. - The clone just smiled and snapped his fingers, after which the Seal on the cage flashed red, making even Fox take a couple of steps back, and with his size, that's a VERY big step. A second later, the silhouette of a cloaked man appeared out of nowhere. He quickly formed and moved towards the seal, but there he froze and already started to look around.
- Four. - A thunderous roar sounded from the two Nine-Tails.
- Ouch! Even my ears hurt from your chorus! Stop it already. - I grasped my ears and mumbled.
- M-menma? - came from upstairs.
- Hi, Dad. Long time no see. - I waved at him and gave him a thirty-two smile. Minato quickly came downstairs and moved over to me. Standing in front of me, he stared at Ryoshi and Naruto with a mute question. With my right hand, I felt Naruto's grip tighten and he shook slightly.
- P-pa-pa? - Dad's eyes widened in surprise and he was already looking at Naruto with some insight.
- Naruto? What happened to you?! You released eight Tails?! At that age?!?
- Um, Dad. Here's the thing. Anyway, nobody let Fox out. I summoned you myself.
- You summoned me? What are you talking about?
- Let me explain. You have nothing to fear, Hokage-sama. Your children are fine, and the Fox did not take their bodies. You're here because I tricked your seal into appearing early. All so you could meet your second son under normal circumstances. Of course, if you can call it that. - Minato thought for a second! Then he nodded to Ryoshi and walked over to me and Naruto.
- You've grown so much. - He hugged us both. - Are you all right?
- Of course. We live together and Naruto has already gone to the Academy. And I became a Tokubetsu-Jonin when I was eleven! - I'm bragging, yes, but I'm in front of my father, I'm allowed.
- Well, you did well, son. I'm proud of you. - he hugged me tighter and I involuntarily did the same in return.
- Dad, someone's missing. You can't start a family reunion without all the members.
- What are you talking about?
- Can you summon Mum's remaining chakra?
- Oh, yeah. Sure. I'm sure she'll be glad to have this meeting.
- You don't have to worry about your ability to restore the seal in case Naruto is captured by the Kyuubi. I can restore it if that kind of problem arises, and don't worry about helping him learn to control his chakra either. You can safely spend your chakra for today's meeting.
- Yes, that's good. You've become very strong, son. - he surprisingly said it while looking at Ryoshi.
- I'm sorry, I...
- I recognise my son in any form. Then explain what happened to you.
- Um, okay. - Ryoshi and I looked at each other in surprise and nodded in sync. Turning to Naruto, my father folded a pair of seals and touched his seal. A red silhouette appeared in front of me and I felt a familiar hug.
- Hello, Mum.
- Menma, I'm so glad, Duttebane. - She turned around and hugged Naruto too, which made him cry.
- M-mum, I've dreamed of meeting you all my life, Datebane. - The brother hugged Kushina back and nuzzled his face into her shoulder.
- Well. You'll have a lot to discuss. Don't miss us.
- Menma, where are you going? - I felt my father's hand on my shoulder.
- I've spent enough time with you, and Naruto never knew you. Please give all your time until your chakra in the Clones ends to him. - I removed his hand and with a snap of my fingers, changed the environment to a more favourable one, then exited Naruto's subconscious, as did Ryoshi.
- Menma!...
***
Leaving at once was the right decision. I'm afraid we would have only taken up Naruto's time and his and Kushina and Minato's familiarity. Well, back to reality, I carried the blond's unconscious body to his bed and laid him there, and went to my room. I think my parents' chakra would last for days, though if you took into account the accelerated time in Naruto's inner world, they'd spend all those days at once in tonight. In the room I saw a sleepy Kunoichi lying on the bed in a single translucent nightie.
- Heh, today was quite an eventful day. Good night, Mina. - I lay down next to her with my arm around her and heard a soft female voice in response.
- Good night, my love~
As I was about to close my eyes, I suddenly felt Mina fidgeting on the bed, trying to lie down more comfortably and for a moment I felt my body react to the action.
- Mina, it looks like it's not going to be a restful night.
- What? Favourite? Ahh! Mmhhhmmm....
