Jason took Raphtalia with him and soon found a restaurant that looked appealing.
As lunch approached, many customers could be seen walking into the restaurant, accompanied by enticing aromas and lively chatter.
The business seemed to be thriving, suggesting that the restaurant's food was likely quite good.
"This restaurant looks okay. Raphtalia, let's go in!" Jason announced as he led the way, but he quickly noticed that Raphtalia was standing still, showing no sign of moving.
"What's the matter? Do you think this restaurant is too low-grade?"
Following Raphtalia's gaze, Jason spotted a sign hanging beside the restaurant's door. As he read the words, he immediately understood his mistake. The sign read: "Demi humans and dogs are not allowed to enter."
Although it was written in a different world, as a summoned hero, Jason could instantly translate the words in his mind.
"I didn't mean to cause you trouble. Should I find another place, or should we eat outside?"
At that moment, Raphtalia tugged at Jason's clothes, a hint of fear evident in her expression. The life of a slave had instilled a sense of inferiority in her, especially when she saw such a sign.
However, Jason was determined to stand by her side.
So he stepped forward and ripped the sign down.
"Snapped!"
With a crisp sound, the sign shattered into pieces in Jason's hands, which he then tossed into the trash can beside him.
"You read it wrong. It clearly says that demihumans are welcome! Now let's go in!"
"But... it's not like that at all," she protested.
"I said yes, so you have to believe what your brother says."
Jason took Raphtalia's little hand confidently and pushed open the restaurant door.
"Jinglingling~~~"
The bell hanging on the door rang pleasantly as it swung open.
"Welcome!" came the enthusiastic voice of the clerk inside.
But the moment the clerk caught sight of Raphtalia, the smile on his face slowly froze.
The other guests in the restaurant cast strange glances their way.
"Damn it... why do lowly creatures like demihumans come here?"
"It's really bad luck. It ruins my appetite. How can I enjoy my lunch?"
"Yeah, the clerk should hurry up and throw that demihuman out!"
The murmurs filled the air, and some guests made no effort to hide their disgusted looks.
Seeing this, Raphtalia huddled behind Jason and lowered her head. "As expected, I should just leave. I don't want to trouble you. I'm satisfied just being here."
"Trouble? I don't find it troublesome at all. Listen... I won't let anyone look down on you, not even the king. After all, you're mine now. So don't lower your head; hold your chin up. My person must stand tall; you wouldn't want to disgrace me, would you?"
Jason gently rubbed Raphtalia's little head and spoke firmly.
Feeling a newfound sense of security, Raphtalia's hesitance melted away, and she raised her head slightly.
However, just as Jason took a few steps into the store, the clerk blocked their way.
"My guest, I'm really sorry, but our store has a policy stating that guests and dogs are not allowed inside. So..."
Before the clerk could finish speaking, Jason had already reached out and grabbed his face.
With a terrifying grip, the clerk's cheeks made ominous cracking sounds, causing onlookers to worry that he might crush his face at any moment.
"So? What does that mean? Do you think I need to ask for the opinion of a servant like you on who I bring with me and where I eat? Who do you think you are? Not even the king dares to stop me, understand?"
A murderous aura radiated from Jason's body, causing the air around them to chill and making it hard to breathe.
In severe pain, the clerk could only scream, unable to respond to Jason.
Just when it seemed the clerk might pass out, a middle-aged man with a slightly portly build rushed over, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and spoke tremulously:
"I... I am the owner of this restaurant. I'm truly sorry for this inconvenience, sir. It's due to my subordinate's ignorance. Please forgive us. How about this... lunch is on the house today. Choose whatever you want to eat."
In the presence of Jason's intimidating demeanor, the boss found himself stuttering in his fear.
"You are wise!"
Jason released the clerk, and just as the owner and the clerk let out a sigh of relief, Jason backhanded the clerk across the face.
The clerk flew across the room, his teeth scattering into the air, stopping only when they hit the wall. The entire restaurant fell silent.
Regardless of the clerk's state, his face now swollen beyond recognition, Jason cared little whether he had knocked him unconscious or not.
"This is the consequence of not knowing when to keep silent. Do you have any objections to my punishment?"
Jason stared straight at the boss with murderous eyes.
"No...no...no comment!"
The boss hurriedly stammered in response.
"very good!"
Jason nodded, and led Raphtalia to continue walking towards the store.
All the customers at the scene turned their heads in unison, and they didn't dare to look at Jason at all. They didn't want to be the next clerk with the incomparably domineering and powerful Jason in front of them.
However, Jason did not find an empty table to sit down, but came to a table with two people sitting.
One of them was a man with a round figure, a fat head and big ears, with blond hair and several gold rings on his hands. At least he looked like a rich man.
In front of the man sat a woman with a good figure and a long red dress.
From the point of view of appearance alone, the two are completely out of proportion.
"That's Lord Baron. What does that person want to do when he walks in front of Lord Baron?"
"Could it be that he's looking for trouble? That's the Baron. Is he crazy?"
"Don't worry about it, don't look at it, so as not to cause trouble to the upper body, didn't you see it just now? The clerk was slapped and slapped away. This is definitely a ruthless person."
"It doesn't matter if you are a ruthless person, Lord Baron is a nobleman in this country!"
With Jason arrival, the surrounding discussion sounded again.
But when Jason turned his head to scan the store, their discussions stopped immediately, and they ate their food in silence with their heads down, for fear of getting into trouble.
"You said just now that you lost your appetite after seeing Raphtalia, didn't you?"
Seeing that the discussion had stopped, Jason turned his head again, looked at the man in front of him who was called Lord Baron, and spoke slowly, with a completely undisguised killing intent.
