Reborn As The Villain in A Novel

Chapter 2: Welcome To The World Of Magic

Episode 2

Edgar waited patiently to see where he was being taken too, was he going to taken somewhere he might like or hate? These kind of questions were quite useless to bother with asking, since he didn't know where he was being pulled too.

"Push! Push my Queen! I can see it's head!"

In the mist of pure darkness those were the words he caught, right before he got out from the light.

Edgar couldn't see anything at all, he tried to look around even if he did nothing changed his sight was gone; He blinked and blinked hoping that the next time he opened his eyes one more time, he'll get to actually see something.

He had never been wrong in his entire life, 'What the hell is this? What's going on with my eyes? Why can't I see? I can feel myself blinking but it still the same I still can't see anything'

This really worried him, what was happening to him was nothing he'd ever experienced before sure from time to time his vision would blur after he was exposed to watching to much TV or being on his phone the whole day.

Still Edgar wasn't sure what was happening to him, and he didn't think much ahead of any possibilities of one of the few things that would happen to him.

He still believed that he was dead and if he wasn't well it was either he was trapped in some kind of man trap or worse he has lost his sense of feeling.

But what he neglected to notice and feel is that things were different this time around; yes, he was still unsure where he was with the darkness blinking him, but then again the difference now is the fact that he could actually feel his physical form... Though it felt quite different.

'Why am I sitting here helpless? Let me rub my eyes then maybe I could see' Edgar flinched trying to rub his hands against his eyes; the funny thing was that he couldn't do but he growled, grunted, and even gasped but his hands were too small.

'What the?' Because he couldn't finish up that question, Edgar began to cry like a newborn baby.

"Oh my dark lord! The young prince wants his mommy!" A gentle and kind voice spoke in a baby voice.

Shoop!

An umbilical cord was cut and Edgar felt himself moving in the air carried around like he was in a person's hands.

"Here you go, my Queen." The gentle woman was actually a servant and she handed the baby to it's mother.

She takes it breathing heavily and out of breath showing that she had just went through an intensive pain of giving birth.

The mother wraps her baby in some kind of gentle but rough red baby blanket that resembled the color of blood and hot lava fire.

She opens up it's face so it could breath, "Such a beautiful child." Her voice changed into someone being grateful.

"You did it my Queen, you gave birth to a healthy baby boy!" The servant began to get all emotional.

Both the mother and the servant play with the new addition to the family, clueless not sure what the heck is going on still in the dark.

'Are they talking to me like that? I thought I was the blind one but them they seem like they are super blind, Can't they see that I am a seventeen year old teenage boy?'

The mother and servant are so overwhelmed by their extreme happiness, they have no slightest idea that this person they are playing with is actually a teenager.

They talk in baby language, busy playing with his cheeks.

'Why are they talking to me like that? Why are they planning with my cheeks and treating me like I'm some kind of' Edgar's blurred vision slowly began to clear. He looked around noticing that he was in a different place.

A place that was beautiful with a modern mediaeval castle with Luxurious bedroom with fine furnishings, textiles, and amenities.

Thick high walls that were made of stone surrounded by moat.

This place in Edgar's eyes was beautiful, it represented royalty and nobility in most cases the people who usually and often lived in places like this are people from royalty and nobility.

Mesmerized by this place's beauty his curiosity couldn't help but pique, wanting to see who was this woman holding him in her hands. Edgar coos and takes a closer look.

To his unexpected surprise what he saw the moment he laid eyes on this woman, he was charmed by her snowy-white hair, her crystal clear water eyes, her beautiful soft skin, and her uni dimple as she smiled at him.

'Whoa, who is this woman?' As he studied her face.

The servant then interrupted him from looking at this woman by calling him and giving him baby talk, rudely interrupted Edgar gave the servant a baby stink eye. As he looked at her he couldn't believe his eyes.

She was young and beautiful in her late or early 20s if not mistaken, she was a brunette with a ponytail, her eyes were hidden by the glasses she had on, her skin was gentle and soft like her touch, and when she smiled at him her smile was angelic.

"Look at how he's looking at us? It's almost like he can see us!" The servant impressed by Edgar.

"Don't be silly Melanie, you know very well that he can actually see us; don't forget that this miracle child right here is the child of the Matter family. Which automatically makes him the most powerful child in the whole world." As his mother said that the tears and happiness in her tone said it all.

'The child of the Matter family? What is she yapping about and why does that name sound so familiar?' Edgar's expression changed into confusion.

Little did he know that everything had already changed it's just a matter of time before everything comes down to him, the truth was that Edgar had died and he was reincarnated into a new world.

Edgar looks around with his eyes as infants tend to do on their first time seeing everything, the room was already beautiful that he knew very well but something caught his eye on a mirror, a reflection of the other side of the room.

There was a family crest engraved on the wall a big letter M; it's font was so ancient like the first fonts ever written in stone and on it's motto written in a first ancient language that was firstly spoken.

It was written 'ALL RISE TO THE FIRST FAMILY'

For someone who couldn't speak or even read this ancient language that was foreign to him, Edgar put all of his focus onto reading what was written he forgot about his new life mother and servant.

"What is he looking at?" His mother asked.

The servant looked attentively as if she was reading Edgar's mind, and to her surprise she actually read Edgar's mind as a newborn baby she was really expecting him to just mutter baby words like babies do.

"Oh, the young rascal is trying to read our family motto such a silly child!" His mother keeps on playing with him.

'All Rise To The First Family' for someone so young and not taught he read what was written like it was easy as ABC.

The servant's eyes widened she couldn't believe what she heard, she even stumbled backwards almost tripping. She causes the tea to spill.

Edgar jump out of shock and began to cry.

"What is it Melanie? Are you okay? You even scared the baby." Edgar's mother also shooked.

Melanie started to bow, "I'm so sorry Queen Ursula, it's just I thought I heard something but I guess I was wrong." She lied.

"What did you hear?" Ursula now intrigued.

Melanie tried everything she can to avoid Queen Ursula's question she offered her tea, she offered to look after the new baby while she gets to rest her eyes.

But all that didn't even work it was all in vain because there was something about Queen Ursula, the title queen wasn't given to her because of her ties to royal blood or even marrying royalty; the name Ursula was given to her because of her immense powers and abilities.

Queen Ursula was known as one of the Blood Virgin Witches, a covenant of witches who are believed to have seduced and tricked the young virgin Mary to turn against her God.

If that appears to be worse Ursula is not only part of the Blood Virgin Witches, she's actually the head witch who gained that title after killing her own mother who was the first head witch of the covenant; and ate her heart and brain.

But what actually made her stand out was this unique ability she had called the Maiden's Siren, instead of singing she changes her voice and mutters simple words and just like that the truth will be spoken.

Queen Ursula's eyes began to change color from her crystal water eyes, her eyes completely became pure white with no iris or even pupils present.

"Melanie speak the truth!" Queen Ursula's whisper to Melanie felt like she whispered near her, just after hearing those words. Melanie's eyes changed into a stormy cloudy color and she confessed.

"The young prince can read the ancient language."
