Reborn As Yamcha With The Cultivations System

Chapter 19: A monkey choice

Yamcha then got up. "Anyway, I am going to go and visit a Monkey".

As he left, the words shinked in as they released who he was talking about, after eating few minutes of walking Yamcha arrived of where Raditz was, as Raditz looked at him.

Raditz Eyes landed on Yamach. "Does earth have a different flow of time or something".

Yamcha just chuckled at that. "Your point".

Raditz just looked at him as he spoke. "So what do you want".

Yamcha looked at him. "Join us"

Raditz looked at him as his gaze narrows. "Oh really, why should I be doing that in the first place".

Yamcha then looked at him as he spoke. "Simple reason, your allies will kill for being defeated".

Another reason why Yamcha wanted Raditz alive was simple, he liked his Character he and a lot of potential and if this was a fusion of everything it means MasakoX what if were here was will, or will a small part of them that is.Raditz crossed his arms, his gaze still locked on Yamcha, skepticism etched into his expression. "So you want me to join your little Earthling group, just like that? After everything that's happened?" He scoffed, his prideful nature on full display. "You think I'll just turn my back on my brother and my Saiyan pride?"

Yamcha let out a soft sigh, his tone calm but carrying an underlying seriousness. "I know what you're capable of, Raditz. And I know you're not just some mindless grunt who follows orders without thinking. You're more than that."

Raditz frowned, his mind already racing. "And what if I don't care about your Earthling cause? What if I want to go back to the Saiyan way of life, to fight, conquer, and live free?"

Yamcha stepped forward, meeting Raditz's gaze unwaveringly. "You've already seen what it leads to. Vegeta and Nappa aren't loyal to anyone but themselves. They'll throw you aside the moment you're no longer useful to them."

Raditz's eyes flickered with irritation. "And what about you, Yamcha? What makes you think you're any different? You think your Earthling squad will stick by you forever?"

Yamcha's lips curled into a small, confident smile. "I'm not asking for your loyalty. I'm asking for your strength, Raditz. You don't have to follow me blindly. But imagine what we could do together. Imagine having power that isn't tied to blind allegiance to a dying cause."

Raditz stared at him for a long moment, his mind working through the possibilities. "And what's in it for me? What makes you think I'll just leave everything behind?"

Yamcha's voice softened, almost like he was talking to a fellow warrior. "Power, freedom, and the chance to be more than just a foot soldier in someone else's war. We all have our reasons for fighting, Raditz. Maybe it's time you found a better one."

Raditz was quiet for a long while. The idea of abandoning his Saiyan pride, especially to work with someone like Yamcha, wasn't easy to swallow. But deep down, he knew Yamcha wasn't wrong. Vegeta and Nappa had their own agendas, and that could only take him so far. And there was something about Yamcha—something different. His growth, his resolve. It wasn't like anything Raditz had seen before.

Finally, Raditz grunted, turning his gaze away. "I'll think about it. But don't think for a second I'll just fall in line with your Earthling ideals."

Yamcha nodded, accepting the tentative answer. "That's all I'm asking for. Think about it. The door's always open."

With that, Yamcha turned and began walking away, leaving Raditz to contemplate his words. The Saiyan stood there for a long time, his thoughts swirling. There was more to this offer than he initially realized. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the change he was looking for. Maybe Earth had more to offer than he thought.

As Yamcha walked back to the group, he felt a strange sense of satisfaction. He hadn't won Raditz over completely, but he had planted the seed. And that was a start.

Yamcha went out and saw Krillin. "What, did you expect something".

Krillin looked at him. "How did it Go".

Yamched looked at him. "Decent, I am not Goku, Krillin".

Krillin chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, I know. But you're doing a good job of holding things together, Yamcha. Seriously, we couldn't have done it without you."

Yamcha shrugged nonchalantly, but there was a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Just doing what I have to do, Krillin. It's not about being Goku. It's about making sure we're ready for whatever's coming next."

Krillin tilted his head, his expression curious. "So, what's the plan now? With Raditz... you really think he's going to join us?"

Yamcha glanced back toward the direction he'd left Raditz, his mind still turning over the conversation he'd had. "I don't know yet. He's still stubborn, still proud, but I think he's got potential. It's going to take time, but I think he might eventually come around."

Krillin nodded thoughtfully. "Well, if anyone can get through to him, it's probably you. You've been through a lot yourself. You know how it feels to have to change."

Yamcha's expression softened for a moment. "Yeah, I do. But it's not just about change. It's about having a reason to fight. Raditz needs something bigger than pride. He needs something that gives him purpose. Maybe, just maybe, we can help him find that."

Krillin gave him a supportive smile. "I believe in you, Yamcha. Just don't get too caught up in saving everyone. We're all in this together, and we've got your back."

Yamcha gave him a nod, feeling a sense of gratitude toward his friend. "Thanks, Krillin. That means more than you know."

They stood there for a moment, a comfortable silence between them. The weight of the upcoming battles and the uncertainty of the future hung in the air, but for now, they were ready to face whatever came next together.

The days seemed to blend together in a haze of training and planning. Yamcha found himself in a new position—one that, despite his efforts, still felt strange to him. A leader. A protector. Someone who needed to ensure that everyone was ready for the battles ahead. It wasn't like before, where he was simply one of the fighters, running alongside his friends. Now, his role had shifted. And with that shift came the pressure of responsibility.

Yamcha stood at the edge of the training grounds, watching as the others practiced. Krillin was running drills with Goku, while Piccolo and Tien were sparring nearby, their movements sharp and calculated. Even the younger fighters—Goten, Trunks, and Gohan—were pushing themselves hard, their energy unrelenting as they prepared for whatever came next.

He turned away and walked toward the large boulder where he'd left his sword. His mind kept drifting back to Raditz. The stubborn Saiyan had an air of pride about him that was almost impenetrable, but Yamcha had sensed something deeper. A yearning for belonging, for purpose. Raditz wasn't the same as he had been when he first landed on Earth. He was different now—granted, still a warrior bound by the warrior's code, but perhaps... perhaps he wasn't beyond redemption.

Yamcha was about to pick up his sword when a voice broke through his thoughts.

"Yamcha, can we talk?"

He turned to see Bulma walking toward him, her expression as serious as he'd ever seen it.

"Sure, Bulma. What's on your mind?" Yamcha asked, wiping his hands on his pants as he set his sword down.

Bulma sighed, her arms crossed over her chest. "It's about Raditz. I've been thinking a lot about what you said. I'm not sure if he's ready to change, but... I see your point. He's not all bad. And if you're trying to reach him, I want to help."

Yamcha raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You're willing to work with him?"

Bulma nodded. "Yeah, I think we should at least give him a chance. We've always had the belief that people can change—look at Piccolo. If he can change, so can Raditz. Maybe not immediately, but we have to try."

Yamcha felt a surge of gratitude toward her. "Thanks, Bulma. I don't think I can do this alone. If Raditz can see that he's part of something bigger than just being a fighter, maybe he'll start to understand."

She gave him a soft smile. "That's the Yamcha I know—always looking out for everyone. You're right, though. We need him. The enemy we're facing isn't something we can take on alone."

Yamcha felt the weight of her words sink in. The coming threats weren't just about fighting powerful enemies—they were about dealing with forces that could unravel everything they had worked for. Their unity was their greatest strength, but it also made them vulnerable. If any of them cracked under the pressure, everything could fall apart.

Just then, Goku jogged over, his usual carefree grin on his face. "Hey, Yamcha! You thinking about training again? We could use an extra hand."

Yamcha smiled, but there was a distant look in his eyes. "I'm thinking more about Raditz... and the future. I don't know if training is going to be enough for us this time."

Goku raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Yamcha exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. "We've got power, yeah. But we're going to need more than just strength this time. We need strategy, and we need to be united. If Raditz joins us, that's one step. But we've got to get ahead of what's coming."

Goku's expression softened, understanding the gravity in Yamcha's voice. "You're right, Yamcha. We need to work together. And we will. We've always pulled through in the end. We just have to keep believing in each other."

Yamcha nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. There was something about hearing Goku's unshakeable optimism that gave him a sense of peace. Maybe they could do this. Maybe they could find a way to unite not just the Earth's defenders but also someone like Raditz.

He looked over at the horizon, feeling the winds pick up. There was a storm brewing on the horizon, and Yamcha knew they would need to face it together.

---

Later that day, Yamcha found himself back at the small cave where Raditz was being held. It had been a few days since their last conversation, and he knew Raditz was growing restless. The chains that bound him had weakened over time, but Yamcha was not about to take chances. The Saiyan was dangerous—of that, Yamcha was certain.

Raditz was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the cave, his arms folded in front of him. He looked up as Yamcha entered, his expression unreadable.

"I thought you would be back soon," Raditz said, his voice low. "So, what is it? You come here to finish what you started?"

Yamcha walked up to him slowly, placing his hands on his hips. "No, Raditz. I came here to offer you a choice. A chance to change, to be something more than what you were before."

Raditz's eyes narrowed. "And why would I listen to you? I've seen the way you fight—how you've changed since the last time we met. But I am a Saiyan, and I will not be swayed by empty promises."

Yamcha sighed, shaking his head. "It's not about empty promises. It's about your future. You're not alone anymore, Raditz. Earth has become your home whether you like it or not. You have a chance to make something of yourself—something that has meaning."

Raditz snorted, his gaze flicking to the ground. "Meaning? I am a warrior, nothing more. My only purpose is to fight."

Yamcha knelt down in front of him, his eyes hardening. "Then fight for something. For your future, for the people you care about, and for your own redemption. You've been lost in this endless cycle of violence, but it doesn't have to be that way. We can help you, Raditz. But you have to choose to fight with us."

For a long moment, Raditz was silent. Then, slowly, his gaze met Yamcha's. "I don't know if I can change... but... I'll think about it. You're right. Maybe I do need something more than just fighting. I'll... think about it."

Yamcha stood up, offering his hand to Raditz. "That's all I ask. You don't have to make any promises. Just think about it."

Raditz hesitated for a moment before taking his hand, his grip firm but uncertain.

Yamcha gave him a small smile. "We'll be waiting for you when you're ready."

As Yamcha turned to leave, he couldn't help but feel a small glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, Raditz would come around. And if he did, their chances of survival against the coming storm would be that much greater.
