Reborn in Konoha; I Think I’m Cultivating Immortality

Chapter 203: Chapter 203

The chants of "Konoha!" and the glow in people's eyes as they looked at Hui filled the atmosphere with an electric charge.

For Tobirama Senju, the moment was both a source of pride and a twinge of helplessness.

His original intent was to use this occasion to elevate Hui's reputation to its peak with a rousing speech. But Hui had chosen to plant a seed of belonging and unity in the hearts of the villagers instead.

It was exasperating but undeniably effective.

Tobirama couldn't help but feel his own heart stir with pride and an even deeper connection to the village.

He knew that from this day forward, Konoha would be more united than ever—a cohesive whole, stronger than it had ever been.

"That brat… saying such moving words!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen, standing nearby, couldn't contain his excitement, his own emotions inflamed by Hui's speech. The young ninja's words had left a profound impact on him.

Suddenly, Hiruzen had an idea. He dashed over to Hui's side, grabbing his attention.

"You're not getting off so easily, Hui!" he declared with a grin, calling out to nearby villagers and ninjas.

"What are you doing, Sarutobi-sensei?!" Hui shouted, already knowing what was about to happen.

But it was too late.

Hiruzen called out, and a group of ninjas quickly hoisted Hui into the air, tossing him skyward in celebration.

"Hey, let me join in!"

Before long, more ninjas joined in, their cheers growing louder.

"Ahhhh! Hui-kun!"

The female ninjas, however, were the most enthusiastic. Their screams pierced the air as they rushed toward Hui, throwing themselves into the fray with abandon.

Tsunade, who had been watching with a smile, found her expression stiffening. Her face darkened as black lines appeared above her forehead.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" she roared, raising her fist, her anger ready to erupt.

But Orochimaru stepped in, grabbing her arm with a calm smile.

"Relax, Tsunade. It's a day for celebration. Let Hui bear this small sacrifice."

Even Orochimaru, usually reserved, couldn't hide the twinkle of amusement in his eyes as he watched Hui being tossed into the air by the enthused crowd.

"Damn, why isn't that me?!"

Jiraiya, meanwhile, looked on with envy. His eyes burned with desire and frustration, and he couldn't stop imagining himself in Hui's place.

As the crowd continued their revelry, the clan heads, ordinary ninjas, and villagers alike laughed and celebrated together.

This day marked an unprecedented celebration for Konoha. Hui's words had ignited a fire in their hearts, and the joy and pride in the air were infectious.

For some, it was a day of joyful reunions.

"Yorō! You're safe!"

A man and a woman embraced tightly. A husband and wife, reunited after the man's safe return from the war.

"I'm back. I'm really back!" Yorō said, his voice trembling with emotion. For him, being alive and reunited with his loved one was the greatest happiness.

"It's enough that you're home. That's all that matters," the woman whispered, tears streaming down her face.

All around them, similar scenes played out. Couples, families, and friends embraced each other, their joy spilling over into tears.

But while the day was full of joy for many, it was tinged with sorrow for others.

For every person who returned, there were those who did not.

Though Hui had done everything he could, war was war and losses of life were inevitable. Konoha had lost thousands of lives in the conflict.

Still, a shared belief lingered in everyone's hearts: there would be no more wars for Konoha.

With Mochizuki Hui, the Demi-God of the Ninja World and the destined future God of Shinobi, protecting the village, wars seemed like a relic of the past.

Hui's efforts had ensured the war ended swiftly, securing victory for the Konoha. No one doubted that his presence had been the decisive factor.

The belief was unanimous: no one would dare provoke the Konoha in the future.

After the celebration at the gates, the festivities spilled into the village. The streets buzzed with joy, and the revelry continued unabated.

Hui, however, found himself surrounded by children.

A crowd of young boys and girls encircled him, calling out "Hui-nii!" with such enthusiasm that he couldn't escape.

Among them were not just children, but teenagers, young adults, and even old friends, all bombarding Hui with questions.

"Hui-nii, your Heaven's Calamity and Divine judgement are amazing! Can I learn them too?!"

A boy no older than four or five asked with wide, hopeful eyes.

The question made many adults freeze, worried that Hui might be upset.

Instead, Hui smiled warmly.

"Those two techniques are extremely dangerous and classified as S-rank. They'll be stored in the Scroll of Seals. But if you grow strong enough to handle them, you'll be allowed to learn them."

He ruffled the boy's hair, and the child's eyes sparkled with determination.

"I'll do it! I promise!" the boy declared.

The response lit a fire in the hearts of the others. The idea of learning such legendary techniques filled them with excitement and ambition.

"Hui-nii, between the Second Raikage, Second Kazekage, Second Tsuchikage, and Second Mizukage, who do you think was stronger?"

A ten-year-old boy asked eagerly, his face glowing with curiosity.

The question made everyone lean in.

Hui chuckled. The question was tricky, the kind that could easily offend others, though he didn't particularly care about offending anyone.

"It's hard to say. At their level, strength is more about preparation, strategy, and opportunity than outright power.

"Ninjas thrive on unpredictability. Remember this in your own journeys: always keep cards up your sleeve, avoid overconfidence, and prioritize survival. As long as you're alive, there's always hope.

"As for those four… well, let's just say they weren't in my league," Hui said with a teasing grin.

His words, though casual, carried an air of truth that left the crowd in awe.

"Hui-nii! Hui-nii!"

More questions followed, one after another, from children and adults alike. Hui answered each one patiently, his tone warm and inviting.

Then, at their urging, he began recounting the story of the war from his own perspective.

The scene was one of warmth and joy, a hero sharing his tale with his people.

It was a day of celebration.

A day of unity.

A day that the Konoha would remember forever.
