Red Alert 2 Mental Omega: Wargirls Reincarnation

Chapter 38: Information overload - 38

Yunru's POV

What? What just happened?

A moment ago, my thoughts were consumed with refining EMP testing procedures in the lab, focusing on my hand-rigged repulsor. Then, the alarm blared. A girl with glowing blue eyes burst into the lab, said something—what, I can't recall—and before I knew it, I was being carried away like a sack of rice.

Now, I find myself deposited on a surprisingly soft couch. One of the girls—my kidnapper, I suppose—is watching me intently. The space around me feels unnatural, like some sort of advanced vehicle, shaking from what I assume is external chaos.

A cup of hot chocolate materialized in front of me, handed over by the girl, who had her own cup.

As I sipped the drink, my eyes darted around the room. Spatial extension? It seems likely, considering the technology. This must be an advanced vehicle—maybe utilizing Allied chrono-tech? Soviet Iron Curtain technology doesn't align with what I'm observing here.

Then, the door opened, and another girl entered, carrying two people. My heart froze.

"妈妈! 爸爸!" (Mom! Dad!) I shouted, unable to believe my eyes.

Helena's POV

Standing next to Amy, I rubbed my temples and took another sip of my hot chocolate. Watching the reunion unfold, I sighed and reached out to Master via comms.

("Master, you forgot about the Chinese language patch,") I said, mildly exasperated.

("Yeah, I figured. It'll take a day or so for the biometric lock to finish researching first,") Master replied casually.

I was about to respond when a loud boom! echoed from outside.

("Anyway,") she continued, ("I'll join the conversation soon... after I dive a few kilometers below.")

as I look at Amy "Well let the family talk a bit more first we can probably do visual communication to substitute for actual Chinese language for a while" Amy reply to me as she sip her chocolate..

Amy glanced at me and shrugged. "Let the family talk for now. We can improvise with visual communication in place of the language barrier," she said, sipping her drink.

I nodded, taking another sip from my own cup, though my focus remained on the scene unfolding in front of us. Yunru was speaking with her parents, but something about the conversation felt... tense. Why did it feel like she was being cornered by them?

I thought back to earlier—tying up her parents wasn't exactly my first choice, but they had stubbornly refused to move from their sofa. They were just sitting there, relaxing as though the world wasn't falling apart around them.

As I observed, Yunru's father suddenly raised his hand to slap her. My body moved on instinct.

Thud!

I elbowed him sharply in the ribs, sending him crumpling to the floor.

"Oh, don't worry—he's not dead," I said, glancing at Yunru's mother. Her face was pale with fear, her hands trembling as she stared at me.

Amy looked over and gave me a nod before stepping forward to gently escort Yunru to another room.

("Take her to my bedroom,") Master's voice came through the comm. ("There's a bed in there where they can sit. Fair warning, though—it's pretty plain. When I designed my interior, I didn't really bother decorating. Most of the rooms are for drones, resources, engines, the command bridge, and torpedo storage.")

I nodded and gave a quick acknowledgment before turning back to Yunru's mother. Without hesitation, I knocked her unconscious. It was cleaner this way.

As Amy led Yunru to the designated room, I exhaled slowly, returning to sip the last of my hot chocolate. It was going to be a long day.

Aqua's POV

That got ugly fast. Apparently, Yunru's parents were brainwashed—no, maybe "propaganda" is a better term. Or perhaps they simply enjoyed the privileges of having a genius daughter to leverage.

Either way, it left a bitter taste in my mouth.

More chocolate might help. Chocolate fixes everything, right? How else do you calm down a girl whose family practically betrayed her? Actually, would that even count as betrayal? Maybe if they need an incentive, I could offer them a house or something. Then again, if you asked me, they'd already be erased from the pages of history.

Amy set Yunru gently on the bed, and I willed my nanoswarms to craft two additional chairs in the room for both Amy and Helena. With everyone inside my hull, I could monitor every detail.

Shifting my focus back to my external task, I noted I'd reached a comfortable 1,200 meters below the waves. Technically, I could dive deeper, but with nothing significant nearby, this depth sufficed. Adjusting the heading of my submarine bike rigging, I aimed toward Japan.

Once satisfied with my trajectory, I redirected my attention to my bedroom. Yunru was saying something, though I couldn't understand her words. Did she not know English? Odd, given her apparent genius.

I willed my nanoswarms to refill the three mugs of hot chocolate Helena had left on the table.

"So, let's get started," I said aloud, projecting my voice into the room.

Yunru's eyes widened in alarm as she glanced around in panic.

"You shouldn't scare her like that, Aqua-chan," Amy chided, shooting me a disapproving look on to the ceiling.

"Wouldn't you?" I replied with a small grin not that they see it as I'm on the outside of my own ship. "Anyway…"

I willed my nanoswarms to form a globe in the center of the room. Slowly, I zoomed in, moving the swarm until only China was visible. Then I focused further, narrowing in on Beijing. As I pinpointed Yunru's location on the map, I added her picture for clarity.

At least she seemed intrigued. Progress.

"Helena, did you have the cameras active when you rescued her parents?" I asked.

Helena nodded and joined the session, displaying the footage from one of her UAVs. The video started with an aerial view of the fancy house—far more extravagant than I'd expected. It had a small swimming pool, a two-story structure with a manicured garden, and a spacious backyard. It wasn't an ancient Chinese palace, but it screamed upper-class comfort.

The recording transitioned to Helena's infiltration. The military outpost surrounding the house was obliterated, and soon after, the camera switched to an interior view—likely from Helena's vision. Inside, Yunru's parents lounged in their chairs, completely oblivious to the destruction outside.

The footage ended with their capture and Helena leaving the house en route to the dock.

"And that's what happened," Helena said, her tone neutral.

Yunru's expression was hard to read, though I wasn't sure how much she understood. To simplify, I used the nanoswarms to mark a path on the globe. Her image appeared in Beijing, then traveled to Tianjin, then to the water, and finally toward Japan. I zoomed out, collapsed the map, and dismissed it entirely.

That's when I noticed her hand repulsor. Still active.

I willed my nanoswarms to dismantle it.

"Sorry, girl, but I can't have you trying to hack me—or even thinking about it," I said as her eyes widened in shock. The device disintegrated in seconds, swallowed up by the swarms.

To soften the moment, I levitated her cup of hot chocolate back to her hand. Simultaneously, I sent the other mugs to Amy and Helena.

"Well, you should rest for now. Your parents aren't waking up anytime soon," I said. Unsure if she understood, I projected a small sleeping emoji alongside a five-hour countdown timer.

At least she nodded, so she understood something.

"Amy, Helena, you can step out if you want," I said, noticing they were still keeping a watchful eye on Yunru.

I leaned back in my thoughts, contemplating the situation. A language patch couldn't come soon enough. Then again... couldn't I just reverse the process and implant English into her brain? No, she wasn't a Wargirl. Should I make her one? Possibly—there might be some shenanigans with a Wisdom Cube, but that was an idea for another time.

For now, I had more pressing matters.

("Rupture, sorry for the late contact. We've completed all the objectives.") I said, finally remembering to check in. Seriously, why don't I have perfect memory like an AI should? Guess that's one of my flaws.

("So… what now, Commander?") Rupture's voice crackled in over the comms.

("Go wild. Destroy military installations, raze what you can, Although keep civilians casualty to minimum, and then come home. It's up to you, really.") I replied casually. With Yunru removed from the equation, China was effectively off the board. Anything they had, she could rebuild easily. Not to mention the…

I froze. Centurion.

I had completely forgotten about the Centurion project! Sure, I had razed their research lab, but I didn't check how far along they were in development. Damn it, Aqua!

("What exactly are the limits?") Rupture asked, snapping me out of my spiraling thoughts.

I allowed myself a small smile. ("As long as it's Soviet territory, dismantle any buildings immediately after use or set them to self-destruct within 24 hours. Beyond that, feel free to use the entire arsenal and any blueprints. Oh, and if you come across any Epsilon bases, grab their tech for me.")

Setting Rupture's team loose was bound to create chaos, but I had my reasons. I couldn't expand my territories yet, not until the current ones were fully upgraded and fortified. I refused to leave any area under my control undefended.

("Affrimative") Rupture said ("What about stealth?") she ask.. ("Soviet already got us on image and Allies have some too so I guess it that time to go loud and proud, oh if you contract European Alliance or American just contract me first, also prepare to get some upgrade in a few days") I answer..

Rupture's team would need countermeasures against Chrono tech soon. Once I perfected teleportation, it would become a standard-issue feature, complete with recall capabilities.

Shifting my focus, I turned to Amy, who had just exited the interior and taken a seat behind me on the submarine bike.

"So, Aqua-chan, what's next?" she asked, wrapping her arms around me from behind. Thankfully, I was prepared for it this time.

I shifted my focus inward briefly, confirming Yunru's state. She seemed to be resting, or at least attempting to. That was good enough for now.

"Thank you, both of you. As for Amy's question—more meetings and talks," I replied. "You can listen in if you want," I added, establishing a connection with Hestia.

("Hello, Hestia. I'm heading back to Japan now,") I said through the comms.

("Ah, good, Aqua-chan! Oh, also, just to report—we now have access to a nutritionist, and most of the available food is being converted into forms we can create,") Hestia responded cheerfully.

Finally! I could look forward to proper noodles again. Don't judge me—I still loved rice, especially fried chicken rice with soup, but noodles are something else.

("That's good. What about the Pearl base?") I asked, already envisioning satellite maps of the area. Satellites were efficient, though... would creating a spaceship girl be even better?

just as I about to think deeper Hestia come up ("Ah the Orbital Railgun launcher done, Aqua-chan. Belfast did suggest transportation overhaul with logistic a few hours ago to present to you") She said and sent me the file as I also send it to both Amy and Helena..

Before I could fall too deep into that thought, Hestia continued. ("Ah, the Orbital Railgun Launcher is complete, Aqua-chan. Belfast also suggested a logistics overhaul for transportation. She presented it a few hours ago, and I've sent you the file.")

The file arrived, and I forwarded it to both Amy and Helena.

As I reviewed it, I saw the proposal for a comprehensive train system spanning the island. It looked fine—train systems and road improvements spread evenly across the islands. Next came city grid redesigns, which were particularly interesting. Each intersection would act as a potential chokepoint, complete with wall bunkers which can be raised and four PD turrets at every junction. Taking a city would require an extensive amount of time and effort to clear out.

Honestly, dropping an ICBM on the city might be easier than attempting to take it by force.

The underground high-speed train system came next. It resembled Old World Japan's maglev trains but was entirely underground and specifically designed for our forces. It connected residential buildings to underground platforms and had four train rails to allow simultaneous movement in multiple directions.

Then there were the underground tunnels and scattered bunkers spread across the map. The design felt almost like a modern Maginot Line, with residential buildings at the center. The outer layers had fewer bunkers and PD turrets, while the inner layers became increasingly fortified with more Avalon turrets and bunkers.

"Well, I approve. What do you girls think?" I asked, looking back at Amy and Helena.

"It looks fine to me, Master~," Helena said with a nod.

"I like the design," Amy chimed in. "But how will your Knight forces—or whatever you plan to call your human security teams—fit into this?" she asked, bringing up a valid point.

"They'll follow the same system but will have more stations in city centers," I explained.

Satisfied, I turned back to the comms. ("It looks good, Hestia-chan. Be sure to connect the ground train railway to the Japanese base on the islands as well. They belong to us now, after all,") I added.

("Affirmative. I'll get on it soon, Aqua-chan,") Hestia replied promptly.

("Well, that's about it for Pearl Base... Wait, Belfast is with you, right?") I asked.

("She is. Do you need something from her?") Hestia inquired.

("Nothing too serious, just a task—training the humans at Pearl Base after Amy finishes drafting the actual training plan,") I explained.

("Ah, I see. You're entrusting this to Belfast?") Hestia asked, sounding curious.

("Of course. She's a proper maid—disciplined, reliable, and fully capable of enforcing the necessary standards. If you're worried, you could always volunteer to assist. You'll be stationed at Pearl Base most of the time anyway, given how dependable you are,") I added.

("Until you figure out teleportation, I assume,") Hestia replied with a slightly sulky tone.

("Exactly. But that's for later,") I said with a small chuckle.

("Affirmative. I'll join Belfast in the training efforts,") she replied, her tone softening.

("Thank you, Hestia,") I said with a smile, feeling her resolve through the connection.

I let out a small sigh, refocusing. "Well, that's sorted. Now, on to Japan," I said aloud.

"Amy, have you thought of a training plan yet? I'm going to create a simulator you can control to train them effectively," I asked, glancing up at Amy. She was taller than me, her chin resting on the top of my head.

"You know, I could kiss you right now~," Amy teased, her tone playful. "But I won't. Not yet, at least. Otherwise, Helena would pout nonstop."

"Hey! That's not fair!" Helena interrupted with a huff.

Amy giggled softly. "Anyway, that simulator sounds great, Aqua-chan. Give me at least five square kilometers, and I'll make their training even harsher than what SEALs go through," she said with a mischievous grin.

"I trust you," I replied with a nod.

With that settled, I connected to the Japanese network, still marveling at the instantaneous transmission. A question for another time.

Through the security cameras, I spotted the general. He looked utterly exhausted, his face buried in screens displaying piles of information. Among the data, I noticed a diagram of the Knight power armor. Of course, I hadn't handed over the actual blueprints—just the basic guide and descriptions.

The missing biometric locks were on schedule to arrive within half a day, so the project's progress was reassuring. The actual training plan would fall to Amy, and with her enthusiasm, I was sure it would be brutal but effective.

Turning my focus to the general's workspace, I connected to their speaker system.

Japan's General Richard's POV

What now?! My head was already pounding from trying to comprehend the absurdly overengineered coastal defense system. Now I had a fresh headache waiting for me—the power armor schematics.

Suddenly, her voice came through the comm system. No face, just the disembodied voice of the Abyssal leader.

("General.")

I straightened up, feeling an odd mix of apprehension and curiosity. "Hello," I replied cautiously, certain she understood me despite the language barrier.

("Hestia contracted you and has provided an overall upgrade plan for Japan. I'm currently heading back, so let's talk,") she said, her tone calm, almost casual.

I took a deep breath. I might as well start with my biggest concern. "Miss, I'm not sure what you're planning for our troops," I began hesitantly. I didn't think she intended to transform the entire army into... whatever her faction truly was.

("Simple. Retraining and refitting the entire force, starting with the infantry. Of course, the armor, vehicles, air, and naval units will also need upgrades. That will be an ongoing project, but for now, the infantry comes first,") she explained as though this massive overhaul were the most natural thing in the world.

My eyebrows twitched. The cost of those power armors and the associated technology probably rivaled the price of our tanks—or worse, our ships.

"And what will the training involve?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

("I've entrusted the training regime to one of my most capable subordinates. Don't worry, she's tough. But, uh, just a slight warning—she's also a sadist—") her voice suddenly cut off for a moment.

My brain stalled. A sadist?! I tried not to imagine one of her overpowered "girls" putting our recruits through hell.

("Well, the training will be far more intense than SEAL-level programs, that's for sure. Injuries like broken limbs or even melted limbs might happen, but don't worry—we can heal those easily. Each power armor also comes with integrated self-healing capabilities for such injuries. As long as your troops follow instructions, they'll be fine~") she continued, her tone almost cheerful.

Fine? Is she serious?

("That's all for now. I'll be heading to my base near Tokyo first and then to Hokkaido for a proper meeting and to set up the training field,") she concluded, cutting off the connection.

I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my temples as I sighed heavily. This was far from the kind of conversation I ever expected to have.

"Call every infantry regiment back. With the fog fully covering Japan now, there's no chance of an enemy invasion," I ordered the comm officer. He nodded and began relaying the command to fall back to Hokkaido.

"Am I doing the right thing, Norio?" I asked, turning to look at my commando.

Norio, dressed in standard fatigues rather than his Garuda power armor, offered a faint smile. "It's hard to say, but I'd like to see how this all plays out. The fact that she's outfitting all GIs and troops with power armor means she sees a role for us."

He crossed his arms thoughtfully. "Besides, judging by the specs, I don't think our GIs will end up as cannon fodder anymore."

I nodded slowly. Norio's optimism was reassuring, but the weight of responsibility still hung over me. Two more years until retirement at age of 60. Would I even make it?

I shook my head and turned back to the glowing screen in front of me. Time to continue studying these Knight power armor specs.
