Reicarnated as a Hyuga in the Warring States Period

The day after the Uzumaki group plus Hijiri bid farewell and returned to the Land of Whirpools.

Here Hijiri plunged into his studies with renewed fervor. He wanted to completely master Uzumaki's fuinjutsu to return to the Hyuga Clan. Not only did he miss his parents and his sister but he also wanted to check the clan situation and help where he could.

Like so, 3 years passed.

Hijiri had delved deep into the study of the soul and space-time. Learning how to seal both of them. Unfortunately, he hadn't figured out how the future Flying Thunder God Jutsu worked. He could only wait for Tobirama to create it and then learn it from him.

In essence, Hijiri in these years had learned all that could be learned from the Uzumaki. Now, if he wanted to improve his sealing skills he had to do it on his own.

Today was the day Hijiri decided to return home. He said goodbye to his teacher Kinu and leader Ashina. Then he departed.

During this travel, he didn't bother hiding his features and mingling with civilians. He directly water-walked until he reached the coast and then tree-jumped while using wind chakra as a boost.

He didn't fear running low on chakra. This was because of one of his secrets.

Remember when he refined senjutsu chakra for the first time and he accidentally permanently opened the first 4 Gates and so created 3 new chakra reserves in his tenketsu?

Well, those chakra reserves didn't remain of that size nor did they increase proportionally with his basic chakra reserve. Instead, they increased exponentially until they reached the same size as his normal chakra reserve.

Not only that but every chakra pool has its chakra regeneration and the chakra in excess is directed towards the main one. So Hijiri's chakra regeneration has increased threefold.

Hijiri's total chakra reserve is 4 times what one sees on the outside and the other chakra reserves can't be perceived even with the byakugan.

Hijiri arrived at his clan territory and soon he met one of the patrol units. It was composed of three Chunins.

(Patrol leader): "Stop! Identify yourself. Wait, who are you? You don't bear the mark but I don't recognize you from the main house's members."

(Hijiri): "Well 10 years have passed since I left the clan. It's quite normal for you, it's quite normal for you to not recognize me."

(Patrol leader): "10 years? Wait you're the defector! It's said that you disgraced the Hyuga clan by running away!"

Hijiri scoffed: "Of course, they would remember me as the one who ran away and not as the creator of the Gentle Pulse or the Gentle Seal. Anyway, I am returning to the clan."

Said that he disappeared from their view and quickly moved towards the clan encampment.

The patrol unit sent a message to the main camp but once it arrived Hijiri was already there.

Hijiri strolled through the camp with ease, reminiscing about his youth and he realized something: "My life until now has been characterized by relentless training. This allowed me to become strong but am I really living this life to the fullest?"

As he was musing he arrived before his old home. Once he entered it he saw his mother in the kitchen.

(Hariko): "Who?"

The potato she was holding fell to the ground. She sprinted towards Hijiri and hugged him tightly.

(Hariko): "Hijiri! Is it really you Hijiri? Is it not a dream?"

Hariko started sobbing but, under Hijiri's comfort, she started calming down after a while.

She then asked "Are you fine? Why did you leave? Was it only to train?"

(Hijiri): "I am fine Mom. Look at me. As for why I left, it was to see the world and to train."

(Hariko): "You now have to tell me everything. So sit down while I continue preparing lunch."

(Hijiri): "But…"

(Hariko): "SIT"

(Hijiri): "Yes, Mom."
