Reincarnated as Slaanesh in Marvel

Chapter 15: Chapter 15

After the talk with Kurt, Logan contacted the other team members, saying the objective was complete. Even though it was late at night, the team decided it was better to leave right away.

Thus, the group, now with a new blue-skinned member, left the small town and headed to their ship.

"So… have you always been blue?" Bobby asked.

"Bobby, shut up," Kitty scolded him.

After a small laugh, Kurt replied, "It's okay, it doesn't bother me. And yes, I've been blue for as long as I can remember."

"Like Dr. McCoy," Warren said.

"Who?"

"Except for Vela, he's probably the other mutant who resembles you the most," Kitty added.

"I see."

"By the way, how has your life been so far?" Spyke asked after hesitating for a moment.

"Well, I worked in a circus for several years…"

For a few minutes, the group chatted with the new guy, who started to feel more comfortable in his new environment. They could already see the Blackbird in the distance when Logan, who was at the front, suddenly stopped in his tracks and unsheathed his claws. This alerted everyone.

"Get ready. They're here," Logan said.

This put everyone on high alert. Neither Vela nor Kurt knew what was happening, but they still prepared themselves.

"Well, well, well, Logan. Looks like your nose is as sharp as ever," came a mocking but threatening voice from further ahead in the trees. Then, a massive figure emerged.

It was a man with blonde hair and amber eyes, towering over two meters tall. He wore a beige and brown suit. When Vela saw him, she knew this man was dangerous, reminding her of her master, but more beastly and unrestrained.

"Sabretooth," Logan said through gritted teeth.

From behind Sabretooth, more people began to emerge. They seemed to be around the same age as the X-Men. Including Sabretooth, there were seven of them. Among them stood out a tall boy who seemed extremely overweight, a young man with warts on his face and a hunched posture, another boy with silvery-white hair and an arrogant look, a girl with brown hair and a red trench coat, and another girl who appeared both uncomfortable and intimidated, with a distinctive white streak in her brown hair.

"Looks like they also have a new girl along with the guy we came for," said a tall boy wearing a visor helmet.

"So what? You know what to do, Avalanche," said the white-haired boy, prompting the other boy in the visor helmet to place his hands on the ground.

"Everyone scatter!" Ororo shouted.

At that moment, the ground began to tremble, cracking and lifting in places. The team dispersed into the forest amidst the sudden chaos.

Vela had to retreat several dozen meters before she found a safe distance.

"So, this is the Brotherhood of Mutants. And to think I'd have to fight them on my first mission," she muttered, contemplating her options. (Should I try to attack them by surprise or regroup with the team?) Before she could decide, her instincts screamed at her to move. If she hadn't, a massive fireball would have hit her.

"Well, I thought this would be over quickly," complained a boy Vela recognized as Pyro from the X-Men's files.

(Fire control and creation… this is annoying. And I have no idea what the other girl can do, she thought, glancing at the girl with the white streak, who was now calmer and more determined as she stood behind Pyro.)

"By the way, who are you? I'm Pyro, and she's Rogue," he said, much to Vela's surprise. The fact that her enemy introduced himself so casually made her respond reflexively.

"I'm Echidna."

"Nice name, it suits you," Pyro said with a pause before adding with excitement, "Well, enough talking. Let's fight!"

He launched two streams of fire from his arms.

Vela dodged by rolling and countered by launching viscous acid, which Pyro also evaded before counterattacking. Thus began a duel of long-range attacks—fire versus acid—with Rogue standing as a silent spectator behind a tree.

Vela realized this was a bad idea as the forest began to burn, and she could hear sounds of other battles in the distance. She came up with a risky and frankly stupid plan.

Dodging a stream of flames, four petals sprouted from her back along with two branches. The plan began.

While bombarding Pyro with her crystals, she started running toward him. Pyro didn't hesitate to cover her with fire, which caused burns but was mostly blocked.

Seeing his enemy advancing despite his retreat and dodging the sharp crystals, Pyro intensified his flames.

Vela had to endure significant pain from the burns, which worsened over time. At one point, she had to retract the branches and create four more petals to cover her body.

When she felt close enough, Pyro stopped retreating and focused solely on his fire. Vela suddenly opened the petals in front of her, hitting Pyro head-on and sending him flying.

Vela could only stand there, resisting the urge to scream from the pain but still thinking of helping her friends. At that moment, she felt a hand touch her back. Suddenly, a wave of weakness coursed through her body before she fell unconscious.

As Vela collapsed, a piercing scream echoed through the forest.

{Sorry for the delay; it's been a busy few weeks}
