( Yuuki's POV )

Pheliss didn't have much to say about the third group but she did have some good things to say about the kidnappers, among them there were only a few who were not being controlled, the leader of the village called Chief Menendez and in a castle on the other side of the village there was another man called Ramon Salazar, They speak of someone called Lord Saddler whom Pheliss had not seen, most likely he is the leader of those two.

On our way back to the village, we were hit by a heavy rain, but thanks to my skills, the raindrops didn't even touch us.

Our first move was to go back to Ashley because that was the easiest way to contact the enemy, the bingo fan, Mythra told us that his name was Leon, he rescued Ashley from the church so we followed the directions of Mythra who had her eyes on them, although if we didn't have their directions we would just have to follow the trail of bodies that the bingo fan was leaving in his wake.

To my surprise Shera was more affected by the scene than Erica although not by much, I was walking straight to the target without getting distracted but Erica immediately ran when she saw something that interested her, that was one of the mutations that Mythra had told me about, Erica was crouching next to a headless body with tentacles coming out of its neck and at the tips of the tentacles there were hard parts that looked like scythes.

Erica: What is this thing?

Yuuki: A parasite, apparently, they seem alive, but the parasite is controlling the body, otherwise, they wouldn't be able to withstand so many bullets.

I grabbed one of the tentacles, and used some light magic to see the effect, and Mythra was not exaggerating, the thing practically disintegrated with the light.

Seeing the effectiveness, I summoned one of Thanatos' coffins, which was a portable armory, I grabbed some crossfire BIMs, and with some modifications, I converted them into flash BIMs and gave them to Erica.

Yuuki: Use this for emergencies but don't try to run into trouble.

Erica: thanks~

We continued on our way and after passing over a wooden suspension bridge we came across a cabin where Ashley was taking shelter, I entered first making my body intangible, inside the cabin there was tension in the air and the bingo fan was arguing with another man I hadn't seen before, with the small number of uninfected people in this village, he must be the contact Pheliss mentioned.

Yuuki: Hey, what are you talking about? Tell me everything.

Hearing my voice, the three of them turned to my side, Leon had his gun raised, but he quickly lowered it when he saw that I was just a child.

Ashley: Yuuki!

Ashley came closer to me, and she hesitantly poked my body.

Yuuki: What are you doing?

Ashley: Uh, well, I thought- never mind.

I think she was a little confused after seeing me go through the wall the first time we met, while that was happening, Shera and Erica walked through the door, and Leon raised his gun again.

Yuuki: You need to cool it, buddy; Is this your first time in a village full of infected? No shame in admitting it.

Leon: Who are you? What are you doing here?

Yuuki: Oh, the name is Yuuki, and the other thing is none of your business.

Leon looked annoyed, but he didn't have a chance to say anything, when we heard a large group of villagers approaching, with a glance out the window, I saw a pile of trenches and torches, and I immediately grabbed my machine gun.

Ashley: Hey where did you get that?

Yuuki: bought it.

Leon: Ashley here!

Leon and the informant moved a large piece of furniture that was blocking an escape hole, they signaled Ashley to get safe, and before running, she gave me another concerned look, but I wasn't going to run.

When Ashley was safe, the rest of us prepared our weapons, Erica got behind me, and I started shooting out the window.

I was only getting headshots, but they slowly continued their way toward the cabin, I could have finished them in an instant if I used my powers, but I didn't want to announce my presence to the enemy.

When the first villager came in through a window I moved to the other side of the room and blew his head off with a shot, even with his head off he kept walking and then the parasite exploded from his head, Just like the thing we saw before, seeing that Erica activated one of the flash BIMs.

Yuuki: Wait, not yet.

We were all exploding heads as we backed away and when more mutated villagers appeared Erica threw the BIM, we all covered our eyes and with the powerful flash they all fell motionless, I took advantage of the temporary blindness of those who did not know me to jump out the window while Erica had her hands around my neck, I took out my bone tails and with a sweep I decapitated the rest of the villagers, Erica threw another BIM and that was the end of the attack.

When we returned to the cabin, Ashley appeared at a back door, and we immediately moved away from there, more villagers could appear at any moment.

We went through a massive chain-activated log gate, and after lowering it, we were able to take a little breather, well, not all of us.

Ashley: *cough* *cough*

Ashley wasn't involved in the fight but she still coughed up some blood and was understandably scared.

Ashley: What's happening to me?

Yuuki: If I had to put money on it, I'd say you're infected, like the lovely people back there.

Contact: That's right, the coughing, the blood, are the first symptoms of the "plaga".

Yuuki: You seem well informed on this parasite mmm? Sorry, I didn't catch your name.

Luis: Luis Sera, and yes, I am more informed about this than your average person.

Yuuki: Is there any chance you know how to remove it?

Luis: Yes, at this stage, the plaga can be removed with the appropriate equipment.

Luis opened his shirt and showed a surgical wound on his chest near his heart.

Luis: I have a plan, but you will have to trust me.

From Leon and Ashley's perspective, this was their only option, so they nodded at the offer, with that, Luis turned around and started walking in the direction of the castle Pheliss mentioned to us.
