Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Beginning of an Unusual Journey
The morning sun rose over the horizon, casting its warm rays across the Li family residence. Wu Shen, with his small frame, had woken up earlier than usual. Today was an important day—he had been tasked with accompanying Li Muwan to the family's main pavilion, where the elders often gathered.
After finishing his usual chores, Wu Shen stood in front of the small mirror in his room. He looked at his young face, his eyes calm yet reflecting an unusual maturity for a child his age. He wore simple clothing, typical for a servant, but neat and clean.
Outside the pavilion, Li Muwan was already waiting. The young girl wore a soft white robe embroidered with lotus flowers at the hem. Her beautiful face radiated simplicity, but her eyes hinted at sharp intelligence.
"Wu Shen, are you ready?" Li Muwan asked with a small smile.
Wu Shen nodded. "Yes, Miss."
They walked side by side through a small garden filled with fragrant flowers. Midway, Li Muwan suddenly stopped.
"Wu Shen," she said softly, "have you ever felt... like the world is too vast for us?"
Wu Shen paused for a moment. He understood the question. This world was indeed full of wonders and immense powers, but also dangers lurking in every corner.
"The world is vast," Wu Shen finally replied, "but maybe that's what makes it interesting. There's so much to learn and understand."
Li Muwan looked at him with an odd expression, as though she didn't expect such words from a young servant.

At the Li Family Pavilion
When they arrived at the pavilion, the atmosphere turned more serious. The elders of the Li family were discussing important matters concerning the sect's future. Wu Shen stood silently behind Li Muwan, listening intently.
One of the elders spoke with a firm tone, "Li Muwan, as the heir, you must strengthen your cultivation foundation soon. The outside world grows more dangerous, and our family cannot afford weakness."
Li Muwan nodded respectfully, but Wu Shen could see the weight in her eyes. He knew that although Li Muwan was the heir, she was still a young girl burdened with great responsibility.
After the meeting ended, Li Muwan left with slower steps than usual. Wu Shen followed her silently until they returned to her private pavilion.

Night at the Pavilion
That evening, Wu Shen sat in the back garden of the pavilion, gazing at the bright moon in the sky. The moonlight made his body feel more relaxed, but his mind continued to race.
He tried to harmonize the two energy flows within his body: the strong solar energy he had absorbed throughout the day and the spiritual energy he painstakingly cultivated. Though difficult, Wu Shen knew that mastering these powers was key to protecting himself and Li Muwan in this harsh world.
Meanwhile, Li Muwan came out and sat nearby.
"Wu Shen," she said softly, "what are you thinking about?"
Wu Shen turned and gave a small smile. "About how to become stronger, Miss. This world won't give us many choices."
Li Muwan nodded. "I feel the same way. But you know, I'm glad you're here. At least, I don't feel so alone."
That night became a moment that deepened their bond. Despite coming from different backgrounds, Wu Shen and Li Muwan began to understand each other. In his heart, Wu Shen vowed to protect Li Muwan, no matter what.
