"Vanguard Guild?" Eagle Snipe stood up, slammed his palm on the table, and exclaimed loudly.

His sudden action shocked numerous people in the tavern, including Hundred Ghost who had his finger almost clicking at the logout button.

As for the other players who had been eyeing intensely at the Reaver Guild, promptly went to the game forum to search for the keyword: Vanguard Guild.

None of them were retarded to believe Eagle Snipe would suddenly spout nonsense. Something major must have occurred to cause that man to lose his composure.

Sure enough, after searching the Vanguard Guild, each one of them realized the guild was recruiting, but its method was unbelievable.

Normally, a guild would offer benefits to make players want to join them. Yet the Vanguard Guild was asking for the players to pay a fee to join.

Initially, some players were sneering at the ridiculous guild, but some clever folks realized one thing.

"Wait a minute… I recall the hotel is called Vanguard Hotel, and there's a blacksmith nearby that is also called Vanguard Blacksmith." One level 15 Assassin exclaimed, feeling quite the shock.

As soon as one person mentioned something, the others soon realized the name Vanguard was actually everywhere in Star Falls City.

"I just took a tour before coming here and I saw a Vanguard Shop opened near the Adventure Association. This can't be a coincidence."

"I doubt it because I saw a huge lot under construction and when I approached closer, I got stopped by a construction NPC. When I asked about the situation, the NPC told me the lot belonged to Vanguard. I didn't pay much attention since I thought it was just another NPC-owned building."

The tavern's grim and gloomy environment finally took a turn for the better, with many started discussing the name, Vanguard.

Meanwhile, one person--- or one guild to be precise, felt like they had swallowed a mouthful of maggots.

"I need to warn my superiors." Hundred Ghost's face was pale as white as he quickly logged out of the Divine World. By now, even a fool could tell that only one person was capable of creating all of this.

And it was none other than Lin Feng, the person they tried to hunt earlier.

What a goddamn joke this was?

Lin Feng was actually so fearsome and capable.

Who would dare to listen to the Reaver Guild's bounty anymore and target Lin Feng?

However, their shock had yet to end when another official Vanguard post made it to the forum.

-To those who can't afford the 10 silver coins, an alternative method is slaying a few members of the Reaver Guild. When three members of the Reaver Guild are slain with video as proof, you'll be accepted to the Vanguard guild as an outer member and enjoy all discounts to Vanguard-owned stores.

Chaos erupted in the tavern, and Eagle Snipe, who had been paying attention to the game forum also saw the post.

Contrary to others being excited, Eagle Snipe's expression paled as he hurriedly warned.

"Quick, everyone, we must log out now," Eagle Snipe warned his fellow members of the danger, his finger hovering toward the logout button.

Unfortunately, it was a little too late, given the Assassin from earlier had already inflicted damage on them all. It wasn't much, but at the very least, it prevented them from being able to log out now that the system determined they were in combat mode.

"Dear Vice Guild Leader Eagle Snipe. Apologies, but this is nothing personal." The level 15 Assassin smiled coldly.

If it was just the assassin acting alone, Eagle Snipe would have retaliated, but the already agitated and hostile crowd began to stand behind the assassin.

Clearly, they were grateful for the assassin's quick reaction and weren't going to let Eagle Snipe or the other Reaver Guild members attack him.

Silence filled the original bustling tavern, and after a few seconds, no one knew who shouted the word attack, but the moment it did, the tavern became a chaotic battlefield.

Meanwhile, the culprit of such instigation was casually enjoying life in the comfort of his hotel.

"Guild Leader, you are really insidious." Carmen giggled amusingly upon seeing the forum post that Xu Feng had made.

"Insidious?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow, seemingly offended by the statement. "How can I be insidious if I'm giving these players a chance of survival in Star Falls City?"

Hearing his innocent tone, Carmen was truly baffled by his behavior.

Only her guild leader could act so innocently and righteous while instigating an all-out war between the Reaver Guild and the regular players.

"The players who came here to hunt you down are probably now hunting at the Reaver Guild members in fervor. This is truly what you called, giving someone a taste of their own medicine." Carmen clasped her hands in amazement.

"No, this can't be considered much." Xu Feng smiled calmly. If Carmen thought this was the end of the matter, then she would be completely wrong.
