Relinquish (Story Of Sixteen)

At the cafe, everyone completed their duty and were off to their respective houses. Seetha was still waiting outside for Riya. When Riya returned, Seetha asked Riya what is exactly happening in her life right now. They started having conversation while walking together to the railway station near by.

Riya was keep on saying "It's nothing."

Seetha: Don't you dare lie to me.

Riya: I don't.

Seetha: No, you are.

Riya remained silent for few seconds.

Seeing that Seetha said: I am the only one who are thinking you as my friend and sharing everything to you. But you are not like that. It's okay it....

Riya slapped Seetha's head slightly and said: Stupid, nothing like that. I don't want to make you sad by talking about my bad situation.

Seetha: Hey, why are you thinking like that? Just say, Let me see, if I can help you.

Riya: Okay fine. I will say. It's nothing but... I... My...

She took a deep breath and continued " I am coming from a poor family. We were always in need of money. That's why I am working so hard in cafe and in many other places. But now the situation became worse. My father borrowed some money for buying alcohol for him. So the debt amount has again increased. The people from whom he borrowed money came to our house tonight and broke some of the things. They also gave us warning that if we were unable to pay the debt amount within tomorrow, they will burn the whole house instead of breaking things like now. This all happened when I was working. That's why I can't work properly today."

Seetha in shock: Oh my god! Why your father is doing this to you and your family?

Riya: He was always like this. He never understood our family situation.

Seetha sighed and asked: How much is your debt amount now?

Riya: In total, It's more than five lakhs now. But, tomorrow I have to pay only sixty thousand.

Seetha again asked in shock "What?"

Seetha: I have twenty thousand now. I will transfer that amount to you. For the remaining amount, I will ask my family and friends.

Riya immediately rejected it by saying: please don't do anything like that. Hey, I appreciate you for giving a thought to help me but it's okay girl, I can manage.

They finally reached the platform and the train for Seetha has finally arrived. So she said in a hurry "No, I will transfer the money when I reach house." With that she bid bye and left. Riya was unable to decline her offer again because she had already left.

After few hours, Seetha reached the house where she did all the night routines as usual and went to her room. Before going to her bed, she also transferred the money to Riya as promised.

The next day aroused. Ram woke up and got fresh for office. Then he reached the dining table and had breakfast. When he was finally washing the plate, he heard Seetha talking to her father on her phone. He heard that she was asking for some money. Ram doesn't want to interfere in her personal matters. So he decided to ask nothing about that. With that, they bid bye to each other and left.

After few minutes, Ram reached his office through his bike. He parked his bike in the parking lot and went inside the office. He started working on his computer. The time has passed really quickly and it was a lunch time now. So Ram took his lunch box and went to Balu's cabin. When he opened Balu's cabin door, he saw Balu scolding his P.A in extreme anger.

Balu: Can't you even remember that?

P.A: I am sorry sir, I won't do that again.

Balu: Leave the again man. What about now? Who will pick him?

Ram thought to ease the situation. So he interrupted by asking "Who will pick who? "

Both Balu and his P.A turned to his side.

Balu's P.A answered " Mr.John is... "

Balu shouted by saying : "Shut the fuck up and leave."

Balu's P.A nodded his head by looking down and left sadly.

Ram sat down on the opposite chair of Balu and asked "What's happening?"

Balu explained everything by saying "Today, A very important guest of our company named 'Mr.Johnathan' is arriving India. I should go and pick him up front the airport. But I also have a  meeting with another important foreign client regarding a project which only I know about. Because of my stupid P.A's forgetting habit, I don't know anything about Mr. Johnathan's arrival. Now, who will pick him? That's why I was scolding him.

Ram: Don't worry, I will pick him up.

Balu: Are you sure?

Ram: Yes, I will go and pick him up. You just rest assure and handle the foreign client's meeting.

Balu: But he is a very important guest. He may expect me to come there. He...

Ram interrupted by saying: Hey, just chill. I will explain the situation clearly to him. So don't worry.

Balu: Okay then. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Ram: come on; don't treat me like an outsider.

Balu: No, I never treated you like that. I...

Ram interrupted again by saying: Ok, ok cool. You never treated me like that.

He sighed and continued: Who can win an argument against you?

Balu asked: What did you say?

Ram said "Nothing" and left his cabin. Balu slightly smiled at himself as he heard Ram clearly.

Ram was now travelling to the airport on Balu's car. He finally reached the airport. He was now waiting for Mr. Johnathan's arrival.

At the other side of the airport, a girl was walking towards the ticket counter. The airport officials checked her ticket and luggage. Then they asked her to wait in a room until her flight arrives. She sat on the chair and was waiting for the flight.

She suddenly remembered that she just left her water bottle outside the waiting Hall. So she went out of that waiting room to get her water bottle. There, she saw some familiar figure. So she decided to walk towards that familiar figure.

It's where Ram finally picked up Mr.John. Mr. Johnathan was quite old and pretty rich man. He looked fat with a belly. He had grey hair on his head and mustache. He wore one of the costliest suit,watch and shoe. He was followed by two bodyguards too.

Ram was astonished thinking how rich he could be. Ram came back to his senses and started explaining why Balu couldn't come. He also asked "I know you feel tired sir. So will you please stay in the hotel that we arranged for you and take some rest? " John replied "Yeah, that will be good. Then inform your boss that we will meet in the evening." Ram borrowed his head slightly as a respect and said "Sure sir." With that Ram walked outside the airport to send him off.

Mr. Johnathan got on Balu's car. When Ram was going to sit next to the driver's seat. He got stopped by Balu.

Balu said " I will handle from here."

Ram got shocked and asked "How did you end up here? "

Balu hurriedly said "The meeting got cancelled, I will explain everything in detail later, and you just take my car from which I came here and go to office."

Then he knocked on the window. Mr. Johnathan opened the car's window and shocked to see Balu there.

Balu greeted him.

Mr. John immediately asked Balu "How did you come here now as Ram said you have an important meeting?"

Balu answered "It got cancelled sir. So, I immediately rushed here."

Mr. Johnathan replied "I see."

Balu pleaded humbly by asking "If you allow me sir, I would like to guide you to the hotel instead of Ram." Mr. John allowed and they left. Ram saw them leaving. When he was also about to leave, he saw a girl staring at him. He got shocked when he recognised that person. It was none other than Leela.
