Chapter 18: Rencarnation Room

"Apparently, this sword has never been drawn by anyone. I wonder what color it would be if I pulled it?" El's curiosity peaked, immediately pulling the sword from its sheath.

However, after El waited for about 1 minute, the sword showed no signs of changing color. "This is very strange, why doesn't it change color? Could someone have pulled it?"

Immediately, El focused his eyes to check the Nicirin sword in his hand. "Hmm? I don't see the slightest sign that this sword is second-hand."

El flipped the katana in his hand and swung the sword several times. However, there was still no change in the sword at all. The blade of the Nicirin sword in El's hand remained white like any normal katana.

Suddenly, El remembered something important. "That's right! Damn, I forgot! The holder of a Nicirin sword must have a certain amount of skill for the blade to change color!"

As El said. There is something unique about each Nichirin Sword.

They will change color when first drawn by the wielder, which is why they are also referred to as 'Color Changing Katanas.'

However, the wielder must possess a certain amount of skill, or else the blade will not change color. Each color is said to impart certain properties to the blade.

Demon Slayer recruits chose their own ore after successfully passing the Final Selection. The ore would then be used by a blacksmith from the Blacksmith Village during the forging process, and the blacksmith would personally bring the weapon to the Demon Slayer.

A moment later, El fell silent for a moment. "System, is it in the Rencarnation room that I can train some skills such as Breathing Style?

Ding!

[In the Rencarnation room, you can practice some skills in the practice area. The practice area is where the Beyonder can practice]

[But, to learn and gain abilities, Beyonder can only learn them in the mission world. In the Rencarnation Room, abilities are obtained in 3 ways]

[First, a random special ability that is given the first time you enter the Rencarnation Room]

[Second, a Beyonder can gain abilities by purchasing them in the trading area]

[Third, a Beyonder gains skills by learning in the mission world]

"Hmm, I see." El nodded slowly. "Now I understand a little." Holding the Nicirin sword in his hand, El was about to exit the evaluation room.

Suddenly, a red wooden door appeared in front of his. El touched the doorknob and opened it.

***

When El came out of the evaluation room, she saw a wide white road. Apparently, this road was made of marble. On both of these roads, there were white pillars that seemed to have been carved by giants, soaring high as if chasing the sky.

What El currently sees is only the foundation underneath. For the end, it was completely invisible. As if, the sky in this world has no end and no boundaries.

When El was observing the white pillars in front of him with a sense of curiosity, suddenly on the pillars appeared several doors. The doors then opened. One by one, creatures walked out of the doors.

Calling the word 'creature' that came out of the doors because what El saw was not only humans, but there were Elves with long ears, Beast races with animal ears and tails, even some races like Demons because they had horns on their heads and black wings.

Some 'creatures' also entered the door. After entering, the door disappeared.

Out of curiosity, El approached it. On each door was engraved a number, a different serial number. 'Oh, that's it! That means I'm out of here too.'

Then, El walked down the vast white marble road. Suddenly, El saw a black shadow under his feet. Immediately, El raised his head to the sky.

In the vast sky, El's eyes widened almost in disbelief at what he saw. "Dragon? In the Rencarnation room there are also dragons? This is impressive, I will never see a dragon in person in my life."

Then El gasped. "No, wait! There are no dragons in my homeworld. Those fictional creatures only exist in mythology, stories, fairy tales and anime." El muttered very quietly.

Suddenly, several voices of people chatting could be heard near El. "He seems to be new, did you see? His surprised expression is very entertaining!" said a woman with an all-red appearance, from her hair, eyes and clothes.

"The serial number is 120,000, right? In the past 10 years, the Rencarnation Room has finally added more people. This time it's from the human race, that's very interesting!"

Right next to her, there was a little girl dressed in all black. The little girl was very cute and had long black hair with flaming red irises.

Gulping and suppressing her insatiable bloodlust, the little girl said: "Big Brother, how does the blood taste? It looks so delicious!"

Hearing their conversation, El's hair stood on end. Immediately, El quickened his pace as he walked. Inadvertently, the hem of his trench coat was blown back as he walked.

When he felt far enough away, El walked slowly again, trying to remember the previous incident. The language they were speaking sounded very strange to El's ears. It sounded like Russian, but mixed with German.

Strangely, though, El could understand what they were saying. Actually, this was because every Beyonder had an automatic translator ability that was not recorded in the ability status.

That was the reason. In the last human world, which basically used Mandarin, El could communicate very easily.

"No wonder I can understand Mandarin. Even though I never learned the language. It seems that every Beyonder has an automatic translation ability." El said as he walked on, looking around at his amazing surroundings.

Not long after, El stopped. "System, can you give me an explanation of the Rencarnation Room, the explanation you gave when I was still in the evaluation room I think is incomplete."

Ding!

[Detecting serial number 120,000 just set foot in the Rencarnation Room for the first time]

[Start the explanation!]

[The Rencarnation Room is divided into 4 areas. Namely, the living area, trading area, training area, and entertainment area]

[The living area is the area where the Beyonders live. The living area is connected to the sky pillar]

[The Trading Area is an area where buying and selling transactions and auctions take place. Especially for auctions, Beyonders who want to auction their items will be charged a fee of 5% of the auction selling price. This fee will be deducted immediately when the item is sold]

[Training area is an area where Beyonder can practice, learn fighting skills]

[The entertainment area is an area where the Beyonder can relax after carrying out missions. There are facilities such as virtual prostitution rooms, fantasy parks, cafes and casinos]

[Beyonder can go to various areas by using the Transfer Door. The Beyonder only needs to think of the destination area when entering the Transfer Door. The system will set the coordinates according to your destination, which is in the Rencarnation Room]

[The Transfer Door is not far from where you are currently standing]

"Okay, fine. I want to go to the trading area. I'm curious about the area, what kind of things are for sale there. I might find something that catches my eye." El then resumed walking, heading towards the Transfer Door that the system said was not far from where she was standing.

As he walked, the light breeze made the hem of the white trench coat he was wearing sway gently.

A few meters away, El finally saw a very large door. It was the transfer door the system was referring to.

The center of the door was covered in a clear membrane like water. Each Beyonder passed through this membrane to reach the desired area. There were many Beyonders passing through the clear membrane.

El immediately joined the crowd of Beyonder and entered the clear membrane, the Transfer Door. In the blink of an eye, El arrived at a very crowded area.

On both sides of the road, neatly lined up booths of various goods and food organized by each Beyonder.

"Why is it so expensive? Either reduce it a little, or I'll buy it somewhere else."

"Come, come! Cheap goods, buy one get one free!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, please take a look at my wares! This glue is versatile!"

El broke out in a cold sweat and a nostalgic feeling crossed his mind. Back then, El was still a child and was taken by his mother to visit a traditional market. "Haha," El laughed dryly. "I remember that traditional market from back then."

Then, El was about to continue his journey to look around the trading area. However, a booth caught his attention. El paused from a distance and watched it.

At the booth, El saw a woman who was insisting on convincing the man in front of her to buy the item she was selling.

'Huh?' While saying that in her mind, El took a step walking towards them.

"This rusty sword is 500 points? Seriously! You want to rob me?"

"But, this sword is still very sharp. You can slay Dragons with it, Misaka said, convincing her lie to be believed by the buyer before her." The woman said it in a monotonous, robot-like tone of voice.
