Chapter 23: Fundamental Hinokami

On the second day, El was still in the training house. He devoted all his energy and determination to learning Hinokami Kagura. Other than eating and drinking, El did not stop practicing at all.

After becoming a Beyonder, El's body was like an avatar in a game. That is, El could no longer relieve herself and he had almost no body scent.

Whenever El started, or ended the simulation because he was killed while training, he always watched Tanjuro and analyzed his movements.

"It turns out that Enbu's movements are still very difficult. What's the key? I seem to have forgotten something important. But, what?"

El was killed many times by Tanjuro's sword. However, there was no such thing as giving up that quickly in his dictionary. El was adamant to learn Hinokami Kagura.

It was now day three and El was still inside the training house. On the first day, El was initially killed 1000 times. While on the second day El was killed 900 times. Now on the third day, El was killed 800 times.

Unlike the first day, El didn't buy any more mind-clearing cookies. El had only bought them on the first day to help his understand some of Hinokami Kagura's moves.

Every day, El's death count continued to decrease. That meant El was getting closer every day as he learned the basics of Hinokami Kagura from Tanjuro.

El was completely immersed in his seriousness. El didn't care how many times she died and came back to life in the training house simulation. If there was anyone else doing this crazy thing other than El, it would be mentally exhausted.

Although it was a simulation, the experience felt very real. It was as if, someone was replacing the role of Subaru Natsuki, a Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu character who had the ability of Return by death.

On the fourth day, El was still in the training house. This time, El died 680 times. The number of deaths decreased significantly. El's level of proficiency when learning the basic Hinokami Kagura is growing more rapidly.

El's days in the training house seemed to go by very quickly. It was now El's fifth day in the training house and he was still experiencing life and death over and over again.

The number of El's deaths at this time was much less than before. If previously there were 680 times, then now there are 400 times and it continues to decrease every time.

On the eighth day, El finally defeated Tanjuro by breaking his sword when their swords clashed. Very quickly, El took the opportunity to get rid of his annoyance of constantly dying.

Slash!

Crot!

Tanjuro's head was cut off just as he had been doing to El all along. A smile graced El's face.

With excitement, El jumped up and down like a child because he managed to defeat a sickly old man.

What an insolent and impolite behavior. But what else could it be? If someone takes the place of a person who keeps dying, it's certain that person will suffer from mental exhaustion.

In an all-white and empty room, El raised the Nichirin sword in his hand high. "Finally, I finally managed to kill Tanjuro!"

Saying that, El seemed to have slightly forgotten his original goal. That was to learn the basic movements of Hinokami Kagura. But, even so El already understood every move of Hinokami Kagura. It was just a matter of understanding the real point of each move.

"Since I've defeated Tanjuro, I'm a little curious what if I fight Yuroichi Tsgukuni. I'll probably keep getting slaughtered, but it doesn't matter because it's a simulation. So there's no problem trying it out, right?"

Then El lay down in the center of the training house floor. El intended to rest because he was extremely exhausted mentally and spiritually, as a result of his continuous training.

After resting for 24 hours in the training house, El resumed his training. However, this time El changed his training opponent.

El also changed the setting from a snowy forest with extreme temperatures, to a green bamboo forest, and the time setting to a cold and quiet night.

Right in front of him, a tall man with a slender but muscular body under his clothes, fair skin, maroon eyes, and long spiky hair with red tips tied in a ponytail.

"Yoriichi-san, please help." El said in a respectful tone of voice towards Yorriichi.

However, Yoriichi did not respond to El's words at all, because the Yoriichi in front of him was only a projection generated by the training house system.

El immediately started the simulation. But, no matter how hard El fought it. In fact, until El deliberately decreased Yoriichi's attribute value lower than him, El's sword would never be able to touch the edge of his clothes.

However, El did not give up and continued to simulate against Yoriichi. But still, El could never win against Yoriichi. Until finally, the rental period of the training house was one day left.

"As I expected, Yoriichi is very strong. If I had simulated training with him from the start, it would have been a massacre."

"But in the end, I managed to understand 108 of his moves." Then, El opened the door of the training house and stepped out.

There was a reason why El left the training house a day early. In fact, there was still one day left in the rental period of the training house.

The reason was because El wanted to look for an item in the Rencarnation room that could be used to influence the mission world.

Perhaps El would look for the item in the trading area or auction house. Because the item can only be found there.

In the Rencarnation Room catalog list, the Rencarnation Room system did not sell it. Because the item has a rank.

After arriving at the trading area, El began to look around to find the item he wanted. El always visited each booth along the way.

1 hour later, El stopped at a bench in the trading area while sighing his tired-looking breath. Almost half of the trading area at each booth El visited to look for the item. However, El didn't get it.

"It's so hard to find the item, should I look at the auction house?" El muttered with a serious look.

Feeling that there was no choice, El rushed to the auction house to find the item he wanted. Actually, El really didn't want to look for it at the auction house because it might be expensive, more than the points she had.

But, it seemed that El had no other choice, but to look for it at the auction house. "Well, I guess I should look for it at the auction house."

El stepped back with the aim of the auction house. On his way to the auction house, El still had time to look for the item at the booths because there was no word of giving up that quickly in his dictionary.

Until not long after, El finally arrived at the booth belonging to his acquaintance.

"Aren't you the one who at that time, Misaka said trying to recall the events of nine days ago." Misaka said this in a flat tone of voice.

"Yes, I was the one at that time." El replied and glanced at his merchandise. "I wanted to ask, do you have any black-level World Organizer Medals. And, if I may, I'd like to buy it."

"Hmm, said Misaka nodded her head."

"Misaka happens to have it, Misaka said while thinking of business transaction opportunities." Misaka said so with a flat voice and a monotonous evil laugh.
