Chapter 14: Chapter 14: New Twist
(nda: very short today, good reading ^^)
I focus on quickly exploring the area and finally find the famous blood-shaped key in a glass tank. With a quick gesture, I break the tempered glass between my fingers to retrieve the key without having to use Marcus' special stripper.
I go through a door before jumping down over a railing. In the distance, I see the lights of the elevator flashing, a sign that it is going to the surface.
"Both are pretty fast," I thought as I headed towards the door with Marcus' bust. I slide the key in without paying attention to the door with the broken dial.
I enter a spacious room, certainly the office of the director of this laboratory.
The room is elegant, with an imposing aquarium filled with inert leeches. An old photo of young Marcus, at his graduation, catches my eye. He looks exactly the same as the mountain madman, so they are the same person.
On the other hand, it means I can potentially prolong my youth thanks to the virus from the leech queen. In any case, I feel good about my extraordinary physical abilities.
There is another door behind the desk that leads to a storage room. Inside, various works of art are stored, including a statue with a bloody green key.
I take the liberty of stealing an assortment of jewelry from the safe to amaze my financial assets. I know quite a few fences from my old toxic self and they are still active.
I hurry back, but as I pass by the aquarium, it suddenly explodes, releasing the leeches that leap at me.
Thanks to my superhuman reflexes, I catch each one of them, allowing them to join their kin under my command.
I hear gunshots in the hallway, as well as the unmistakable sound of sizzling acid. Looking around the corner, I see a Leech zombie falling apart as the various leeches that make it up melt from the acid.
"Good job," I said, applauding Rebecca. "I did well to give you that toy," I added, smiling.
"How did you get there before us, Gerald?" Billy asked. "We brought the observatory down by putting the plates in."
"Sorry, trade secret. Just a homemade grappling hook and a Tarzan imitation," I replied, as Rebecca struggled to hold back her laughter.
"You can laugh, Rebecca," I said, looking at her, as she covered her mouth with her arms to stifle a laugh.
"Sorry, Gerald, I just imagined you swinging from a rope and doing the Tarzan yell," she said, struggling to contain her giggles, followed closely by Billy and I, as we imagined the scene.
It was a relief to see both of them laughing, despite the situation around us.
I'll let you continue exploring, but be careful, there are many more of these things" I say, pointing at the partially dissolved leeches on the floor.
"Plus, it looks like there's an exit nearby, so be careful and stick together." I enter the library to leap towards the hole in the ceiling before the two can see me.
I quickly kick the locked door open, sending shards of wood flying. The room is filled with broken cages, but that's not what first catches my attention.
I then hear an ominous clicking sound, followed by the steady pounding of powerful paws. Two hunters, clearly alerted by my intrusion, emerge from the shadows, ready to tear me apart.
The first one rushes towards me with the blinding speed of lightning, its sharp claws aimed at my throat. In one fluid movement, I shift to the side, narrowly avoiding its deadly attack. Meanwhile, the second hunter, cunning, tries to cut off my retreat, his cold and calculating eyes fixed on me.
Without hesitation, I leap towards the first, anticipating his move. With a quick and precise touch, I absorb him into my factory, removing him from the fight in a fraction of a second. In the same movement, I fall heavily on the second, unbalancing him and propelling him towards the abyss of my devouring power.
The room quiets as I put my shirt back on, glancing around at the debris and the ripped open cages. Among the ruins, I find an imposing document, testimony to the brutal experiments carried out on these creatures. Unfortunately, without any mention of Umbrella, it will be of no use to me in proving their guilt.
I also see the dial for the door below, I pick it up before seeing my two friends below.
"Billy, catch it" I say throwing the dial at him. "There is a door where this thing was missing to open it but I don't have the combination so I try to find a document in the director's office for the code."
I continue on my way to come across the catwalk with a cable car below. I force the door of the control room and miracle, everything is in order, I restore the power to the cable car before jumping down to see Billy and Rebecca go through the door with the safe lock.
"My lords' carriage is ready," I said, pointing to the entrance to the cable car.
"Thank you, Gerald," Rebecca said as she stepped inside as Billy followed her. I saw a monkey larger than a typical eliminator leap at him. I pushed Billy out of the way but was thrown off balance by the weight of the monkey crashing into me as I went over the guardrail and fell into the void.
"Gerald!!!" I could hear the two of them screaming as I plunged into the darkness.
In the intense fear that filled me, I planted my hand into the stone as huge claws replaced my fingers. The monkey was propelled by my sudden stop, then exploded on the rock wall below before falling into the underground river below.
I observe my hand which resembles Birkins' in his G2 form, unlike his which had a bloody appearance, my hand looks more like a flesh-colored gauntlet with metal claws.
I summon two Blood to travel along the river while my arms are held between their paws. I see swirls below as well as a lot of blood, which tells me that I did well not to try to let myself be carried by the current.
I see a rocky surface near the river which seems quite large and solid. "Drop me there" I say to the creature who obeys directly.
I send them back to the factory before summoning two G zombies and a plant zombie to help me as well as a T zombie to serve as bait.
I make the Plant Zombie create a myriad of vines to wrap around the T as I throw it into the water. I use the Zombie Plant as a fishing rod while the two Gs help me hold my improvised fishing rod.
The T zombie in the water is swallowed by a huge fish that is almost ten feet long without much damage, much like the original Cerberus.
The vines anchor themselves to his chair holding the huge beast while the G Zombies and I pull them back towards us using the vines of the Zombie Plants.
I quickly summon 3 more Zombie Plants to immobilize this monster while we pool our efforts to keep it stable.
Aquatic mutation of the T virus detected, absorption will take 30 seconds. The time will be reduced by 10 seconds due to the bonus on mutations to the T virus.

Several vines break as the fish swallows one of my Zombie Plants. I summon a Stinger before ordering it to sink its massive pincers into the fish's flesh, effectively pinning it against the rock walls.

Aquatic mutation of the T-virus detected successfully absorbed available in the factory. Please name this species
"Name the Aquamoth" responds to my system.
1 Aquamoth will be produced every 5 days. You have 3 Aquamoths directly in the factory.
You will be able to instantly subdue any Aquamoth not under your control by simple contact. extension to all common species of fish infected with the T-virus.
The Aquamoth emerges from my factory with impressive majesty. Its massive silhouette undulates gracefully beneath the surface, revealing a blue carp of colossal size, measuring approximately three meters in length.
Its smooth skin, a deep, vibrant blue, is shot through with silvery reflections that dance in the light. Its scales sparkle like gems in the depths of the aquatic darkness. Its fins, large and powerful, seem capable of cleaving the water with disconcerting ease, propelling this giant of the deep through the currents with an almost hypnotic grace.
Its eyes, a bright, piercing blue, reflect a primal intelligence mixed with an aura of an indomitable predator. In those eyes, one can see the strength and tenacity of a creature that has thrived over the ages, a force of nature whose power is both fearsome and fascinating.
The Aquamoth exudes an aura of quiet strength, an impression of total mastery of its aquatic environment. Its presence commands respect and inspires fear, revealing a predator of rare magnitude, ready to defend its territory with unwavering determination.
I return all my Zombie to my factory before riding the Aquamoth towards the complex downstream of the river.
Along the way, I come across a few more specimens that I manage to capture without problem given the impressive performance of my aquatic mount.
I jump off the Aquamoth before taking it back to my factory, arriving in front of a high platform where I meet two hunters that I capture without him being able to see me.
I come across a console with a fixed camera facing a tank with a Tyrant inside. The monster seems bigger than I remember even if it remains just as calm.
I pick up a key with a small key ring indicating "platform console" to see if it can be useful to me. As much as I can break doors, I have not yet seen a kick make a machine turn except in the movies.
I go back up to see a room with the famous console that I activate with the key to bring the platform to me. I look around me to see a pen, I decide to write a small note to indicate that I am alive with Billy and Rebecca.
The room echoes with the disaster of the Tyrant as I stand there, facing this imposing beast. His bloodshot eyes glow with murder, and his bulging muscles betray his formidable strength. He stands there, nearly twelve feet tall, with a massive claw like an oversized swordfish.
I feel a surge of adrenaline rush through me as I watch Captain Enrico get impaled by this merciless creature. The captain's body is thrown towards me, and I catch him just in time to prevent him from crashing to the ground. His blank stare tells me his end is near, but he still finds the strength to whisper to me to flee.
I quickly summon two Stingers to deal with this failing Tyrant as I call one of my dogs to bite Enrico's hand before biting me. The hole in the middle of his body begins to heal before my eyes as he gets back up.
The fight is intense. My Stingers launch into the attack, stinging the colossal creature with surprising agility, but the Tyrant counters with devastating force. Each swing of its massive claw is devastating, threatening to tear my creatures into pieces.
The Tyrant is harder to deal with than I thought because in the brief moments I have the captain to deal with, it has already taken down one of my giant scorpions.
"YOU WANT TO FIGHT SO LET'S GO!!" I would yell, calling for my troops as I send Enrico back to the factory along with the still-living Scorpion.
Reinforcements arrive. A horde of thirty Crimson Heads and ten Zombie G rush into battle, ready to face the Tyrant. I grab my two giant swords, ready to fight alongside my creatures.
The fight is fierce. The Crimson Heads attack with incredible agility and ferocity, harassing the Tyrant from all sides. The Zombie G also throws itself into the fray, using its brute strength to try to unbalance the massive creature.
The colossus cuts through a dozen Crimson Heads like butter while some of them manage to damage the heart protruding from its torso.
My swords come down with deadly precision, cutting through the air as I aim for the creature's weak points but the problem is that they are blunt. The Tyrant roars in anger, but it is still standing, its colossal strength resisting my attacks.
Suddenly, I see an opening. With a quick movement, I dive forward, planting my swords deep into the ground. The Tyrant tries to fight back, but it is too late. My swords act like anchors, pinning the beast to the ground.
"Block it!!" I shouted at the zombie G who paired up for each of his limbs while the last two crushed his head face down on the ground.
I put my hand on the outsized creature to submit it to me.

I take a deep breath even though I am sad that I had to make the captain a puppet but unlike Billy and Rebecca, it was not an infection but an imminent death. I get him out before letting him return to the expedition.
"Don't point your gun at Billy Coen" my new zombie G ordered me as he left the way I came from.
