Revy Gray Warped World Reflections

Chapter 12: Wanted man

[ Southern Kingdom- Vela ]

(night guild south branch)

Meanwhile, in the shadowy depths of the city of Vela, the capital of the Southern Ancient Kingdom, Seyrin Roy's crimson eyes scanned the letter with a mix of anger and resentment. His red hair, tied back in a neat tail, fluttered slightly in the draft from the open window. The Shadow Guild was a place of whispers and shadows, where the air was thick with the stench of secrets and deceit.

He sat in a dimly lit room, surrounded by the trappings of his office within the guild's headquarters. The walls were adorned with tapestries that depicted scenes of battles won through stealth and cunning, a stark reminder of the work he and his comrades carried out. The flickering candlelight danced across the paper, casting eerie shadows that matched the tumult in his heart.

Seyrin Roy's deep red eyes narrowed as he read the words in Aria's letter, his mind racing with insinuations of her wishes. He had spent most of his life as a member of the Shadow Guild, living by its strict rules and becoming the branch leader. However, the more he read, the more he felt like a pawn in a game played by those who did not care at all about the lives they manipulated haphazardly.

Crushing the parchment in his hand, he stood up, the candlelight playing off his tall frame. His crimson hair, tied back in a tight queue, contrasted sharply with the black mask that covered his mouth, a symbol of his loyalty to the guild. But as he paced the room, that loyalty was being tested by the burning resentment in his chest.

The letter from Aria spoke of a prophecy, of a world in chaos, and of the need for his services to bring about a new order. But Seyrin had seen enough of the world's ugliness to question the true intentions behind her words. The Shadow Guild had always been a tool for the powerful, and now it seemed they were to become pawns in a cosmic game of chess.

With a heavy heart, Seyrin called for his second-in-command, a man named Grax. He handed him the crumpled parchment, his voice low and dangerous. "Send word to every corner of the Southern Kingdom," he ordered. "Find this... person named Revy Gray."

Grax took the letter, his eyes flickering with curiosity. "But, sir," he began, "do we have a description, or perhaps a sketch of this individual?"

Seyrin's gaze was cold as he answered. "No, no, just the name," he said, his voice a raspy whisper that pierced the air. "They're crooked bastards, they make us do all their dirty work and they live like kings." His grip on the edge of the table tightened, the wood groaning under the pressure.

Grax nodded, his eyes never leaving Seyrin's. While tucking the letter into his belt, he said, "Sir, I have to inform you about something."

Seyrin stopped pacing and looked at him, his expression a mix of curiosity and annoyance. "What is it, Grax?" he barked.

Grax swallowed hard, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "The young lord of the Elytra region has been killed," he announced, his voice steady despite the gravity of the news.

Seyrin's eyes snapped to his, the anger momentarily forgotten as he absorbed the information. "Who killed ?" he asked, his voice a low rumble.

Grax shifted uncomfortably, his hand on the hilt of his sword. "We're not sure," he replied. "But last we heard, he was following two kids. And then...their bodies were found."

Seyrin's eyes narrowed, her mind was working rapidly. "Which children?" he asked, his voice cracking like a whip in the silent room.

Grax was staring at the ground. "We don't know sir, we sent a team to investigate."

Seyrin's eyes snapped to Grax, his fists clenched tightly. "Find out!" he ordered. "I want answers!"

Grax nodded, his face a mask of determination. "Understood, sir," he said before bowing and exiting the room swiftly.

Seyrin turned back to the window, his eyes on the horizon where the sun had barely started to rise. The city of Vela was waking up, its citizens oblivious to the tumultuous decisions being made in this very room. He knew that the balance of power in the Southern Ancient Kingdom was delicate, and the death of a young lord was like a pebble thrown into still waters. The ripples could reach far and wide, affecting everyone in their own way.

where Edmir, the god of water, and Fayir, the god of earth, lie in a collapsing room. Naked women danced and giggled around them, offering them exotic drinks that sparkled like the stars above. The air was heavy with laughter and the sweet scent of desire. Edmir's eyes sparkled with amusement as a new woman, more radiant than anyone he had ever seen, approached with a sense of urgency that seemed to contradict the carefree atmosphere.

"What is it?" Edmir asked, his voice thick with the promise of pleasure as he took a sip of his drink.

Fayir looked at him, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "It seems our little game with Aria has taken an interesting turn," he said, gesturing to the stunning women who approached them.

Edmir's gaze followed his friend's and his eyes shone with understanding. "Oh, yeah," he muttered, setting his drink aside. "Did you believe what the little bitch said?"

Fayir chuckled, his deep voice booming through the room. "I don't know," he admitted, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "But we can't ignore what he said."

Edmir nodded, his gaze never leaving the sparkling woman approaching them. "Send word to the other kingdoms," he instructed, his voice filled with the authority that came with being a water god. "Let them find the kid named Revy Gray"
