The Chancellor is reporting the city's progress to Maximus and when suddenly there is a knock on the door, the maid on the side opens the door and asks who it is.

"It's Augustus your imperial majesty he said the scout you sent was back and he's here to report the finding," The maid said.

"Let him in," Maximus said.

As the maid opened the door a man walked to the door a caucasian man with blue eyes wearing centurion armor walked in front of me and kneeled as he introduced himself.

"Your imperial majesty I am Claudius Augustus and I'm here to report the scout's findings," Claudius said.

"Rise, tell me the reports".

"Yes Your Imperial Majesty the scout you sent to survey the mountain found precious metals there and the other scout you sent to survey the surrounding area for any potential threat to the capital the scout send he found two camps, one camp was filled with small green skin men and have weapons of clubs, and rusty swords while the other camp is filled with tall fat men with pig face" Claudius said.

Orcs and goblins well, it will be a difficult fight against the two if there are many of them. I'll need some archers and cavalry to fight them both. Why would I fight them both if I can take them one at a time? I'll have Itachi finish them off quickly, but I need to test my legions, too, if I want to know how strong they are against these fantasy creatures Maximus thought.

"How far are they from each other how many are they, and how closest are they from us?".

"They are a day of travel from each other, the closest is the camp of little skinned men as they are a day of travel from here, how many there are, the scout said 40 green skinned men as the skin green men guards what looked like an entrance of a cave, we guessed there will be many more in the cave, while the other camp is the farthest from here and they have 50 tall fat men with faces" Claudius said.

Maybe I should bring Itachi too just in case when we face a stronger enemy Maximus thought.

"What about the scout that surveys the mountain".

"The scout said it was hard to go there because of the terrain and forested area and we needed to clear a path for easiest access" Claudius said.

We need access to that area to get the precious metals such as gold silver and copper so we can have a proper currency, the fiat currency will be trouble in the long run as we don't have any backup, and we need to hire many men to cut the trees down and build road just the dirt road will do for a moment and the trees that were cut down, we can use them to build houses in the area for the miners and others that will go there Maximus thought.

"What's the update on the training of the legions and the recruit have they learned {MARTIAL ARTS}".

"The training of the recruit and the legion is doing well, some of the legionnaires have learned {MARTIAL ARTS} they said as if instinctive to know {MARTIAL ARTS} as they display to increase speed, increase perception, etc., Your Imperial Majesty" Claudius said.

That's good as the legion began to get strong we can conquer these islands and go to the continent though it's 2 weeks of travel by sea from here, I should focus on what to do here before doing that Maximus thought.

"Claudius I want you to hire some men to clear the path that will lead to the mountain and a thousand legionnaires to guard them while they work and use the trees that were cut to build houses when you are near the mountain, that is all your dismissed".

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty" Claudius said.

As Claudius turned around and walked to the door while the maid opened the door he walked out of the office and into the hallway and his step faded as he walked farther from the office.

"Itachi, I need you to go with me to exterminate the goblins before they become a problem for us"

"Understood, Your Imperial Majesty" Itachi said as he appeared behind him.

"You know you shouldn't do that right you give me a heart attack when you first do that".

flashback...

a few hours after he ordered Itachi to establish an intelligence network.

"How should I contact Itachi, I forgot to ask him how to contact him" Maximus said

As Maximus talked about contacting Itachi, he appeared behind him and said.

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty do you need something from me?"

As Maximus heard the voice from behind him he got scared and looked behind him and he saw Itachi standing behind him.

"WTF! Itachi you can't do that you almost gave me a heart attack" Maximus said as he calmed down.

"When did you get here I was about to contact you"

"I was always near you Your Imperial Majesty to protect you from possible enemy attack" Itachi said.

End of flashback...

"I know Your Imperial Majesty but I still need to protect you from any possible attack" Itachi said with a smile.

"Yeah, I know and you know there are no enemies yet right also you can call me Maximus when we are in private or alone" 

"Understood Maximus"

"I need you to get ready we will go tomorrow to attack the goblins" Maximus said.

"How the men and women I give you did they learn any jutsu?" asked Maximus.

"Yes Maximus, the people you gave me did learn jutsu but just the low ranking jutsu as they struggle to learn any high level jutsu but they will get there with some more training" Itachi said with a smile.

"That's good, as soon as you finish training them I want you to recruit to increase the people in the intelligence network, that is all as I need to finish this work and gather some legionnaires to go with us" Maximus said with a tired voice as he looked into his paperwork.

Damn, running an empire is not easy work Maximus thought.

a day later

As Maximus rides a horse, lending his army in the front, the army is divided into 700 infantry, 150 cavalry, 100 archers, and 50 personnel carrying the supplies with the help of mules and donkeys. They continue marching until noon and stop in an open field. Maximus orders them to build a camp.

A few hours later

The camp was built as the sun set down they formulated a plan on how to attack the den.

"The archers will attack them first as the infantry guard them along with the cavalry, the archer will wear them down the the infantry will attack in the front and the cavalry will ensure no one escape" Maximus said.

They agreed with the plan it was simple against these monsters.

The next day

As they enter the forest with a clear path they are already in a position for any possible attack from the goblins as they continue to march straight they see the camp ahead the archers begin to be ready as they are waiting for an order from his Imperial Majesty.

"Archers! Ready!" Maximus began to execute his order the archer already in position to fire.

"Fire at will!" as Maximus said that the archer began to fire their arrow upon the goblin's camp the arrow flew in the air and rained down on the enemy and hitting some goblins as the goblins realized what was going on some of the goblins started to run at them while the others goblin grab some bows and arrows they began firing back.

"Legionnaires! Shields up! Tortoise formation!" Maximus ordered as they began to form the tortoise formation the arrows fired by the goblin hit the shield as they covered from the arrows firing at them, the archer from their side continued to fire the arrows hitting some goblins running at them and the others firing at the goblins in the camp, as the goblins continue to run at them. "Legionnaires throw your javelins at them!" as the javelins flew in the sky and reduced the goblins that were charging at them and they managed to get close and jumped at the shield and began attacking them with their clubs and rusty swords, the legionnaires began to fight back and kill them while the goblin manages to injure some legionnaires as the goblin died down.

(Javelins were called back in the Roman era was a pilum)

"Legionnaires charge forward!" Maximus ordered.

As the legionnaires charge forward, they manage to get into camp and kill the goblins that are not dead. As the last goblin dies, there is a sudden large roar coming from the cave. As the roar continues to get louder, it comes out and reveals itself to them. It was similar to the goblins they killed, but this one was larger and fatter with a crown.

"ROAR!! YOU THERE SLAY MY MINIONS I'LL KILL YOU ALL!! ROAR!!".

The legionnaires braced themselves, shields up and swords at the ready, as the monstrous goblin king lumbered out of the cave.

"TO ME, MEN!" Maximus said, raising his sword high. "Form ranks! Hold the line!"

The archers took their places behind the line, nocking arrows and awaiting the command to fire.

The goblin king roared again, his voice echoing through the valley. "YOU THINK YOUR PUNY FORMATIONS CAN STOP ME? I AM GUL'THOL, KING OF THE GOBLINS! YOUR BLOOD WILL STAIN THESE LANDS!" Without waiting for a response, Gul'thor charged forward.

"ARCHERS, LOOSE!" shouted Maximus.

A volley of arrows whistled through the air, striking the goblin king's thick hide. He snarled in pain, but his skin was tough, and only a few arrows pierced deeply. Still, the onslaught slowed his advance.

"Steady!" Maximus called. "Wait for him to overextend, then strike also used your {MARTIAL ARTS}!".

Gul'thol swung his massive club with a ferocious roar, the weapon cleaving through the air with deadly force. Most of the legionnaires used {EVASION} and managed to dodge the strike, but one soldier wasn't fast enough to activate it and was struck with a sickening crunch, his shield and body sent tumbling like a broken doll.

"Now! Spears forward!" yelled Maximus.

From behind the shield wall, a line of spearmen surged forward and used {FOCUS BATTLE AURA}, their weapons glowed and aimed at the goblin king's exposed flanks. The tips found their mark, stabbing into his side and creating a deep wound with a lot of blood flowing down from the spears. Gul'thol howled in rage, swinging his club at the spearmen but the infantry used {FORTRESS} to block the attack, Gul'thol howled in rage as he feeling the pain that was caused by the spear and used his {MARTIAL ARTS}.

"Damn, puny human! {ABILITY BOOST}{GREATER ABILITY BOOST}{BODY STRENGTHENING}{DULL PAIN}{GRAND POWER STRIKE}, TAKE THIS YOU PUNY HUMANS AGGHHHH!!!".

As Guk'thol swung his weapon, Maximus ordered to use another {FORTRESS} to block the incoming attack.

"{FORTRESS}" activated by the infantry and raising their shield again as the attack was connected to their shield they managed to slow down the attack some were flung around the battlefield and other was injured as the goblin king continued to attack. Maximus decides to interrupt and attack the goblin king. As he activates his magical power.

"{MAXIMIZE MAGIC: LIGHTNING ARROW}" As he cast that spell you can see a lightning shape arrow begin to form and shoot at the goblin king as the lightning arrow hit the goblin king was paralyzed, as the goblin king was paralyzed he ordered the infantry to attack.

As the infantry attacked and used variables martial arts such as {ABILITITY BOOST}, {CUTTING EDGE}, {FATAL EDGE}, etc. as the attack continued you could see the goblin king get control of his body but it was too late as he trashed and roar but his movements grew slower, his massive form weighed down by injuries and exhaustion.

Finally, with a tremendous bellow, Gul'thor collapsed to his knees. His crown fell to the ground, rolling away into the dirt. He looked up at the legionnaires with a mixture of fury and desperation. With that, Gul'thor toppled forward, his lifeless body hitting the ground with a resounding crash. The legionnaires stood in stunned silence for a moment, catching their breath.

Maximus heard a ding sound in his head as he read the system message.

[Congratulations host you've managed to defeat a goblin king and a hundred goblins, as a reward you got... World Information, a hundred dwarfs blacksmith that is an expert in runecrafts, 4 legions, 100k citizens, and 4 cities and 4 years worth supplies, would you like to open the world information host].

'later' Maximus speaks in his mind.

"Gather the dead and help the injured we will stay here till tomorrow" Maximus ordered.

As the order was heard they began to move to collect the dead and help the injured with that Maximus entered the cave with Itachi.

"Why did you tell me not to interfere"

"Why?, because I want to know how strong my soldiers are against this creature as I know we're not the strongest there is, and now I know how strong they are, they will continue to train to get stronger and use a lot of martial arts as using that it will get you tired very fast if you are not strong enough, and I know you're stronger than my legion heck! you can probably kill all the people in the capital" Maximus explained to Itachi.

Itachi just nodded, As they continued to walk in the cave the light provided was cast by Maximus {CONTINUAL LIGHT} they saw an opening ahead as they headed there they saw lots of gold coins, like LOTS of gold coins piled in a mountain of gold, as they walked in and Maximus pick a piece of gold coin and he can see an intricate design with a face of a woman in the front and what looked like a tree at the back.

'System can you identify what kind of gold is this' Maximus asked.

[Yes host, that gold coin is a Yggdrasil gold coin].

Yggdrasil isn't it a world tree from Norse mythology in my past life Maximus thought.

'system, use the world information' Maximus said.

[using world information...transferring the information in the brain of the hos... prepare host there will be a pain of transfers of information 1..2..3..].

'WHAAT!!'

"AAHHH!!" Maximus screamed.

Itachi came rushing to Maximus side and asked "are you okay Maximus?"

"UGhh, my head hurts, huh what, yeah I'm fine just a heading when the system transfers an information in my brain ugghh" Maximus explained as he rubbed his head to ease the pain.

Itachi just nodded and continued to look around.

'Damn, I knew it I was in the new world as the sign was {MARTIAL ARTS} even though I'm not sure of it but this' as he looked at the gold coin his holding 'but this conformed it with the world information damn I need to get stronger now I know there stronger than us here' Maximus thought. As he continued to walk around and find more valuable artifacts as he looked around he noticed swords and armors in the corner, as he walked to it.

'System can you tell me what kind of class this weapons and armors are' maximus asked the system.

[most of the weapons and armors are top class, there 3 in legacy class, 1 legendary armor and 1 divined weapon].

As Maximus heard that he smiled as he got a high class weapon that he could use while the other he could give to each and his royal guard for added protection, and he can ordered the dwarft to craft weapons and armor that the legion can be used thought Maximus. 

'System how many gold there is?'

[there is 500million yggdrasil coin, would you like to put it all in the inventory host]

'Yes but leave a million gold coin here and put the weapons and armors in the inventory too'

As the system stored the gold coins, weapons, and armors he called Itachi to go back out as they headed out there was already a camp set up, and tent one of the tents was caring for wounded soldiers while the other one was for the dead while the others is for sleeping tents for the soldier...
