Chapter 2: 2
Alexis stormed into her room, the anger clear in her expression and the way she harshly pulled off the heels from her feet and struggled to get the dress off. Alice walked in after her, her expression troubled. Alice didn't speak, she quietly sat on the bed and helped Alexis take off the dress when she needed help. Other than that, she sat quietly on the bed, her chin resting in her palms.
"Why can't they just understand that I don't want to get married, and of all people to Vincent!? What the hell is their problem? Aaron is crown prince not me, why don't they bother him? He has more responsibilities as crown prince yet I'm the one being pressured to get married and of all the men in the world for me to get married to, they chose the prince of Valencia!" Alexis raged as she struggled to pull a pair of joggers on.
"You done yet?" Alice finally spoke.
"It's not at all fair Alice, why am I the one being pressured into the getting married when Aaron doesn't even have a girlfriend. Can't mother and father have my best interests at heart for once?" Alexis sighed.
"Don't they always?"
"You know they don't Alice, right from childhood, they only ever did the good that benefitted them as well,"
"I guess that's the life you get as a princess huh?
"I'm practically living in agony as a princess and they want me to be crown princess of another country, that's pure hatred and torture sister,"
"Oh please don't start with your drama," Alexis grinned and packed her hair in a pony tail as she slid a grey jacket on. "You're getting dressed, where are you going?"
"Anywhere that isn't near the palace,"
"I shouldn't have even bothered asking, what do I tell them this time?
"The usuals,"
"That won't work today, you left the room angry about getting married to Vincent remember?"
"I know you'll think of something, bye love you," Alexis said as she made her way out of the palace. Her parents along with King Gregory, Queen Vanessa and Prince Vincent were in the lobby so they wouldn't see her as she hurried past the corridor and out through the door.
