Saving Uchiha, Starts by Flipping The Table

Chapter 255: Chapter 255: A Terrifying Organization, No Resistance? Something's Not Right!

The last time the Land of Rain became the center of attention in the ninja world was due to the Second Great Ninja War.

Now, a new round of war has broken out in the Land of Rain.

There's no flashy tactics here; it's all about absolute crushing power.

The allied forces were split into two groups, each advancing from different directions, steadily pushing forward.

Along the way, there was almost no significant resistance.

In just three days, the army had reached the outskirts of Amegakure Village.

"The transport unit hasn't been attacked, and the progress on the battlefield has been smooth. We're already outside Amegakure Village. Tomorrow, we'll launch a full assault and break into Amegakure Village."

Nara Shikaku, the Jonin leader, had become Yan's temporary secretary. Every day, he would gather the latest intelligence and report it to him.

"Already outside Amegakure Village?"

It seemed that all of Amegakure's forces were concentrated inside the village. Nagato hadn't sent any ninjas to die in battle.

Instead, they gathered their strength, preparing to deliver a big surprise to the five great ninja villages.

I really want to watch the show!

But then again, it's better to stay in camp.

If I go to watch, I'd be easily caught in the crossfire. And being on the battlefield, if I don't take action, I'd be criticized.

Staying in the camp is better. Even if the entire allied army is wiped out, the blame won't fall on me.

"Send someone to monitor the war's progress. These people don't need to fight, just gather intelligence."

"They've already been arranged."

Having a reliable person around is really nice; I don't have to worry about anything, just waiting for reports.

No wonder the Hokage from previous generations always trusted the Nara clan. These people are really easy to work with.

Unlike dealing with a bunch of troublesome Uchiha, the Nara clan can handle things smoothly.

That's the difference.

Though, the Uchiha do have their strengths. Without getting into it, when it comes to strength, even a group of Nara clan members couldn't match a single Uchiha.

"Heh! Akatsuki? Not so impressive."

Inside the command tent of Amegakure Village, Ai made a dismissive remark.

The army had smoothly reached the outskirts of Amegakure Village, and after a short rest, they'd be able to directly assault the village tomorrow.

Raikage was curious to see what tricks the Akatsuki had left to play.

Can't be too careless.

Yagura wanted to remind Raikage, who seemed a bit too confident, but after a glance at the quiet Third Hokage, he decided to keep quiet.

Maybe it's because the allied forces are too strong?

Raikage thought the Akatsuki were just average, and the situation on the other side wasn't much better.

Even though the Akatsuki had taken out some elite teams from the five great ninja villages,

It was only small squads that had been wiped out.

Now, with the five great ninja villages surrounding Amegakure Village, if the Akatsuki had the guts, they could try and fight back.

They'd be crushed!

The war's dark clouds hung over the entire Amegakure Village, causing chaos as many villagers fled with their families.

For those trying to escape, Nagato placed no restrictions. Right now, Amegakure Village was open to those leaving but closed to those trying to enter.

But how many of the villagers who managed to escape Amegakure Village would survive was still unknown.

The allied forces wouldn't pass up the opportunity to interrogate and gather information. Many villagers would be captured and subjected to torture, or even have their memories probed.

Luckily, the allied forces hadn't gone on a killing spree while questioning villagers for information.

Everyone was still keeping their heads, not letting emotions take over.

But if the war had started with massive losses, would anyone hesitate to kill?

Konan was in charge of all affairs in Amegakure Village.

With the allied forces already outside the village, and an impending assault, Konan was still calmly organizing the village's matters.

From the moment the Five Great Shinobi Villages started their summit to prepare for an assault on Amegakure Village and the Akatsuki, Konan had already begun making preparations.

Her top priority was to deliver a big gift to the Allied Forces.

The direct assault was about to begin.

Yan hadn't slept all night, waiting for news. He was eager to know which way the war was heading.

Since Yan hadn't slept, Shikaku hadn't either. He had even asked the logistics team to prepare some grilled meat for Yan and brought it to him as a midnight snack.

"Let's eat together."

Yan gestured for Shikaku to sit down, not wanting him to stand there awkwardly.

"Sure."

Shikaku didn't hold back, sitting down to eat with Yan. If it weren't for the camp's restriction on alcohol, grilled meat and drinks would have been the perfect match.

"We don't need to be so polite with just the two of us."

"Yan, are you worried about the battle at the front?"

While eating, they casually talked, and the conversation inevitably turned to the war.

"Something like that. I was worried that I'd fall asleep and then be woken up too soon. I get cranky when I wake up, so I decided to stay up and wait for the news."

The Allied Forces had their own confidence, but the Akatsuki had their own plans too.

Compared to others, Yan never underestimated the Akatsuki.

Leaving aside Nagato, who was like a cheat code, and Sasori with his army of puppets, just Konan's six trillion Explosive Tags were enough to make anyone nervous.

A careless move, and the Allied Forces might end up alongside Amegakure Village in the grave.

As long as Konan had the resolve to place all her Explosive Tags in every corner of Amegakure Village, when the Allied Forces entered, she could set them off.

By then, a massive mushroom cloud would rise over the Land of Rain.

Don't be fooled by the original story, where Konan used her Explosive Tags to blow up Obito but caused little commotion; that was because all the tags were stacked together, meant to kill Obito.

In this timeline, Konan hasn't yet accumulated six trillion Explosive Tags.

But given how quickly the Akatsuki made money and how Konan could use her paper jutsu to create billions of tags, it wouldn't be an issue.

What does it mean to have billions of Explosive Tags?

If arranged properly, they could turn Amegakure Village into ruins.

As for the ninjas who rush into Amegakure Village... very few would likely survive.

Billions of Explosive Tags—wow, how much would they be worth if sold?

Explosive Tags are always expensive when it comes to Ninja Tools.

Billions of Explosive Tags is already outrageous, but in the original story, Konan had 600 billion of them...

If you convert that into money, Konan would definitely be the richest person in the Shinobi World.

"Do you lack confidence in the Allied Forces?"

Shikaku felt that Yan didn't seem to believe in the strength of the Allied Forces.

"No."

Who would admit to such a thing?

Yan calmly shook his head and said,

"The Allied Forces are strong, no question. But the Akatsuki has been oddly quiet, and that's not their style. A terrorist organization like them, not making any aggressive moves? Something's off."

"You're right, that is a bit strange."

Shikaku furrowed his brows.
