Shocking! The Mysterious Sky Veil Brings Chaos! | Naruto

Chapter 24: Gaara’s Redemption

As Chiyo's words faded, Naruto nodded firmly, his eyes filled with unwavering determination.

Suddenly, the scene shifted.

Naruto appeared standing in a grassy field. Behind him stood countless people—those who had acknowledged and accepted him.

In the center of this group was a younger Naruto, his small face radiating with a smile of pure happiness.

"That's us!"

The Konoha 12 were astonished to see themselves on the screen among those who supported Naruto.

"Shikamaru, look! We're in there too!" Chōji exclaimed with a shy smile as he munched on his bag of chips.

"How troublesome," Shikamaru sighed, but there was a faint satisfaction in his eyes as he glanced at the screen.

"Haha, look at that! Even I'm in there!" Ino grinned, clearly proud.

"Well, if Naruto's gone this far, I guess I'll recognize him... reluctantly," Kiba muttered, blushing slightly as he looked away.

"Naruto-kun..." Hinata whispered, her face flushing deep red as she tried to process the sight of her own image on the screen.

Shino remained quiet, pushing up his sunglasses, but if anyone had looked closely, they might have seen a faint smile hidden behind his high collar.

"This boy," Kurenai murmured softly, her voice tinged with surprise as she saw herself among the figures.

"This is youth, Gai-sensei!!" Lee exclaimed, his body trembling with excitement despite his bandaged form.

"Ah! This is true youth!" Might Guy bellowed somewhere in the forest, still searching for medics, his voice echoing with pride.

"Naruto..." Hiruzen Sarutobi murmured, touched by his prominent presence in Naruto's memories. Though pride filled his chest, it was laced with guilt.

"You idiot," Jiraiya muttered with a grin as he ruffled Naruto's hair, his own eyes growing misty. "You've worked so hard for this, haven't you?"

Tsunade, watching from her office, was stunned. "That's... me? But I haven't even spoken to him much..." she murmured. Then, realizing this was a future vision, she sighed and smiled faintly.

"Looks like we're pretty important to him," Kakashi chuckled as he gazed at the screen.

Sakura, seeing herself on the screen, felt her throat tighten. She bit her lip as emotions surged. Guilt mixed with a bittersweet warmth. "That's how you see me, Naruto?" she thought, her heart aching.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's sharp eyes noticed something peculiar on the screen. Among all the figures surrounding Naruto, there was an empty space, like someone important was missing.

"Who... should be standing there?" Sasuke wondered, a strange unease filling his chest.

In a small office in the academy, Iruka stared at the screen, tears streaming down his face. Seeing himself in such a cherished place in Naruto's heart overwhelmed him.

On the screen, little Naruto's smile faded as he turned his head.

Beyond the crowd, he saw a small, hunched figure sitting alone on the grass—a shadow of isolation.

It was Gaara.

"Who...?"

"Who's calling me...?" Gaara's voice trembled with confusion as he turned his head.

His small body curled inward as he crouched, his hands clutching his knees. His expression was filled with sorrow, his tears falling freely.

"Why is it always my hands...?"

"Who am I...?"

Just as Gaara wept, a hand gently rested on his shoulder.

Startled, he looked up to see Naruto—a small figure like himself, but one radiating warmth.

Naruto smiled at him, his voice soft and filled with kindness. "Gaara."

The warmth in Naruto's voice struck a chord deep within Gaara's heart.

On the screen, Gaara's surroundings began to change. The once-empty grass was now filled with people standing around him, watching with concern.

"He's awake! Gaara-sama is awake!"

"Thank goodness! He's okay!"

Gaara stared at the screen, his expression mirroring his own image. He felt something bloom in his heart—a tiny seed of warmth and light.

"So this... is what it means to not be alone..."

The screen shifted again, showing glimpses of Gaara's past.

"I am hatred. I am power. I am Suna's weapon—a sacrifice, a jinchūriki."

"I hated this world. I hated everyone in it. I wanted to destroy it all."

The screen showed Naruto's smiling face, bright and radiant like the sun.

"But he saved me," Gaara's voice narrated. "He pulled me out of the abyss of loneliness. He understood my pain because he felt it too."

Scenes of Naruto's determination and kindness played on the screen.

"Because they are my precious comrades," Naruto's voice echoed.

"Why? Why are you willing to go so far for others?" Gaara's voice was filled with confusion and desperation.

Naruto's answer was simple but powerful.

"Because they're my most important friends."

The screen showed young Gaara sitting alone in the dark, his head lowered as he cried.

Suddenly, Naruto's hand reached out, resting on his shoulder again.

"Gaara," Naruto called, his voice filled with warmth.

The darkness around Gaara seemed to dissolve in an instant.

"Come on. They're waiting for you," Naruto said with a smile, reaching out his hand.

For the first time, Gaara smiled—a small, shy smile, but one filled with hope.

"Okay," he whispered.

The scene shifted to Naruto and his group bidding farewell to Gaara and his siblings.

"Goodbye!" Naruto waved energetically.

Gaara nodded. "Goodbye."

Then, as Naruto hesitated, he said awkwardly, "Usually... friends shake hands at times like this, right? But, uh, I'm not really good at stuff like that..."

Before he could finish, Gaara's sand gently lifted Naruto's hand.

Naruto smiled, letting the sand guide him as their hands clasped.

In that moment, two nations witnessed an unbreakable bond being formed.

The End.
