Shocking! The Mysterious Sky Veil Brings Chaos! | Naruto

Chapter 3: The Tragic Lives of the Jinchūriki – Questions to the Great Nations

"Is this what being a Jinchūriki means?"

"I don't get it. If they really have tailed beasts sealed inside them, doesn't that make them heroes? Why are they treated like this?"

"And why would you use children as Jinchūriki? Don't the Five Great Nations have anyone else?"

"Because… they're monsters!"

[The sky veil shifted once again.]

It now showed a scene from the Hidden Cloud Village. Killer Bee was walking with a carefree rhythm, humming a song as he moved.

Smack!

An egg suddenly hit his face, stopping him in his tracks. He looked confused.

Moments later, more eggs were thrown, hitting him one after another. The voices around him were filled with rejection and disdain.

"That's the boy. He's the one…"

"That kid is a monster…"

"The one the Third Raikage…"

Bee paused for a moment but quickly resumed his dance steps, pretending not to notice. Yet, more eggs and insults rained down on him.

Land of Lightning, Hidden Cloud Village

Bang!

The Fourth Raikage slammed his fist down, shattering his desk into pieces. He stood abruptly, his face burning with anger.

"Bee!"

Although he'd known Killer Bee's life hadn't been easy, he had no idea it had been like this. It disgusted him.

"Find those brats and give them a beating!" he roared.

Across the Ninja World

"What is this sky veil even trying to show us? I don't understand!"

"You Great Nations are unbelievable. You treat your Jinchūriki like trash, yet you rely on them to protect you? Hypocrites!"

The images stirred fury throughout the ninja world. Was isolation and rejection the fate of all Jinchūriki?

When the hidden villages were founded, wasn't it supposed to bring peace and unity?

This… this was the protection they promised? This was their idea of peace?

Ridiculous.

The Five Great Nations found themselves speechless, unable to counter the anger. And yet, rather than softening, their hatred only grew fiercer as the video continued to expose their failures.

From the villages came cries of rage and pain. Even in the Hidden Leaf, Naruto's generation—the Twelve Young Shinobi—could hear it all.

[The sky veil showed another scene.]

"Why?! Why is everyone treating me like this?! Even my teacher looks at me like I'm some kind of pest!"

A young Naruto's desperate voice echoed.

"I'm not a nuisance! I'm not a germ! I'm Uzumaki Naruto!"

The scene shifted again.

"It's because of you that Iruka's parents died! You're the Nine-Tails that destroyed our village!"

"Even Iruka hates you!"

"You're nothing but a monster! An existence nobody needs!"

It was Mizuki speaking, taunting Naruto while trying to steal the Scroll of Seals.

Hearing this, Naruto's small frame trembled violently. That night… he would never forget that night.

Shikamaru watched the sky veil with narrowed eyes, recalling a conversation from his childhood.

"Dad, why does everyone hate Naruto?"

Shikaku had hesitated. "That kid…" he'd said before finally adding, "If you want to be friends with him, I won't stop you."

Now, watching the video, Shikamaru finally understood. It all made sense.

Sasuke clenched his fists tightly. The scenes hit him hard, stirring emotions he couldn't ignore.

Gaara, too, watched in silence. The boy in the veil… was just like him.

[The scene shifted to Gaara's past.]

"You were born as the host of Shukaku, the One-Tail," Yashamaru explained to a young Gaara.

"You've always been treated as an experiment—a means to protect the village. But because you can't control that power, one day, it will become a threat to everyone."

Gaara stared, his young face a mixture of pain and confusion.

"Does that mean you're acting against your own will, just following orders from my father?" Gaara asked, his voice trembling.

"It's not that," Yashamaru replied before his expression hardened. "Gaara-sama… deep down, I truly hate you."

Gaara froze, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"You took my sister's life when you were born. I've tried to see you as her legacy, but I can't. Your name, Gaara, means 'a demon who loves only himself.' It wasn't given out of love—it was a curse, meant to show how much you're despised."

"Unbelievable! The Kazekage tried to assassinate his own child?"

"Is Rasa even human?!"

"This explains so much. Jinchūriki are forced to contain tailed beasts, but instead of being honored, they're hated and feared. And yet, their existence is crucial for a nation's power."

Without a Jinchūriki, a nation's strength was diminished compared to others.

"From the start, the term 'Jinchūriki' has always been tied to misfortune. They are tools of war, isolated, and despised. They are the scapegoats for others' hatred."

Hidden Leaf Village

The villagers were uncharacteristically quiet. Memories of how they had treated Naruto came flooding back.

Now, they finally understood what it meant to be a Jinchūriki.

But even so, their feelings toward Naruto remained conflicted.

"I can't forgive him. Because of him, my mother died!"

"No matter what they show us, I can't let go of my hatred. That child… he's the Nine-Tails!"

"Maybe it wasn't Naruto's fault, but the Nine-Tails'…"

"Even knowing that, I still can't forgive the Nine-Tails. And that boy…"

"Are you really going to keep blaming a child? A child who didn't know anything, who suffered for twelve years while we called him a monster? I've been so blind all this time!"

"He didn't even understand why we hated him. He was just a baby when the Nine-Tails was sealed inside him."

"But… I…"

"Maybe deep down, we've always known. We just couldn't let go of our hatred for the Nine-Tails."

The Hidden Leaf villagers stood in silence, grappling with their guilt and grief.

Had they really been so blinded by anger that they had spent twelve years hating an innocent child?

And yet, even as they reflected, some couldn't fully let go of their resentment. The scars of the Nine-Tails' attack ran too deep.
