Chapter 74: Chapter 74: In The End, You Married Me and Have Such Adorable Daughters!
When it came to making Rossweise socially implode, he and Isa shared a seamless, innate understanding.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Isa ran off and came back with a large cardboard box in her arms.
"This is...?" Rossweise suddenly had a terrible premonition.
"These are all the love letters you threw away without even glancing at back in the day."
"Huh? Mom, why did you faint?"
"I'm fine... Mom can handle this..."
Isa began pulling out the love letters from the box one by one, reciting their origins like treasured relics.
"This one, from the prince of the Azure Dragon clan. Unfortunately, he couldn't even make it past the doors of your Silver Dragon Sanctuary."
"This one, from a duke of the Ice Dragon clan. But he had it worse—you didn't even bother to learn his name."
"Look at all these. Unopened and tossed aside. Thankfully, I, your frugal elder sister, saved them."
Rossweise covered her face. "Sis, how is this related to being frugal?"
"Frugal, because discarded love letters can be used to prop up wobbly tables. Domestic, because they make excellent reading material for a pick-me-up."
Rossweise silently gave a thumbs-up. 'You win.'
"Ahem. Let's pick a lucky winner to read out his love letter to Little Ros."
"Sis, let me do this." Leon volunteered enthusiastically.
"Sure, go ahead. Pick any letter. The box is full."
Leon eagerly rummaged through the box before finally pulling out a pink envelope.
He brought the envelope to his nose, theatrically inhaling deeply. "Honey, I'm about to start reading~. Let me practice so I can write you letters every day from now on."
"..."
Leon slowly opened the envelope and began reading in an exaggeratedly emotional voice:"Dearest Miss Melkvi, from the moment I laid eyes on you, I was hopelessly in love. Oh, Melkvei, you shine as brightly as the Milky Way and possess the enchanting grace of a night sprite who stole my heart~ Oh~~ Melkvei, my one true love, my—"
Rossweise grabbed an unfinished piece of bread from the dining table and stuffed it into Leon's mouth.
"You win, Leon. You've excelled at disgusting me and done it perfectly."
The mother dragon's tone carried a hint of displeasure. She now resembled a puffed-up red pufferfish, cheeks puffed and face flushed.
Leon swallowed the bread in one gulp, then tossed the love letter aside and pulled Rossweise into a one-armed hug.
Rossweise thought he was about to continue teasing her, but Leon's next words caught her off guard.
"Alright, alright. Suitors, love letters—they're all just passing clouds. In the end, you married me and have such adorable and well-behaved daughters."
He looked at Rossweise, his gaze full of deep affection—though most of it was motivated by survival instinct.
If he didn't appease this mother dragon, he had no doubt she'd do something drastic tonight.
Rossweise's cheeks turned even redder as she quickly looked away. "Sis and the kids are right here. Don't say things like that, you idiot."
"Daddy, you're embarrassing~," Luna teased.
Isa also smiled faintly, propping her chin on one hand. "You two seem to be in a good place."
She could tell. Although her sister and brother-in-law were always bickering and refusing to back down, this dynamic was their most natural state.
Little Rose wouldn't let anyone tease her, but this man, Leon, had managed to pull it off.
Surely... they'd always be happy together. Isa was certain of it.
She stood up and clapped her hands. "Alright, dinner's over. I'll take you to your guest rooms. Tomorrow, we'll visit the Red Dragon tribe."
"Yay~"
Isa held Noah and Luna's hands as they walked, while Leon and Rossweise followed behind.
On the third floor of the sanctuary, Isa first placed the two little ones in a room.
The room was filled with rocking horses, slides, and ball pits—everything a baby dragon could dream of. It looked like Isa had turned a miniature dragon amusement park into a bedroom.
The two little ones ran in excitedly.
Isa chuckled and then led the couple to a room at the end of the hallway. She opened the door. "This will be your room for the next two days."
The room was much simpler: just a large bed and a massive transparent bathroom.
The problem was that both the bed and the bathtub were sprinkled with rose petals.
Leon & Rossweise: "Just one bed?"
"Heehee. I've been planning this for two years. Have a good rest~"
Isa's sly smile resembled a fox whose scheme had just succeeded.
The couple stepped into the room.
At first glance from the doorway, they thought it was just a little "romantic," but once inside, they realized there was much more to it.
The moment they entered the room, a faint, elegant fragrance wafted over.
The scent wasn't overpowering, but it had a soothing effect that made one feel light and relaxed.
Then, Leon walked into the transparent glass-panelled bathroom, only to find that there wasn't even a shower curtain to block the view.
And the shower head's angle was positioned directly toward the large bed in the room.
What's more, the layout and furnishing of the room were so minimalistic that there were practically no corners or blind spots.
In other words, whatever you did in this room, the other person could see it all clearly— that included taking a shower.
Aside from the shamelessly positioned shower head, the bathroom also had a bathtub big enough for two people (and an extra tail).
The bathtub itself wasn't the issue.
But what was over the top was that Isa had filled it with rose petals.
And not just scattered randomly—she had arranged them into a heart shape.
It was as if the big sister didn't understand anything, but at the same time, understood everything.
Leon didn't dare linger in the bathroom for long and quickly stepped out.
If he stayed even a moment longer, who knew what other stimulating things he might discover?
At that point, it would be as awkward as it could possibly get.
Leaving the bathroom, Leon saw Rossweise standing at the window, staring blankly into the distance without expression.
Leon walked over to her, glanced at her, and followed her gaze outside, but there wasn't any special scenery.
It just seemed like her usual "queenly daydreaming."
The two stood side by side for a while before Leon broke the silence.
"Your sister's definitely got a dark streak," Leon remarked.
"But she's been pretty good to me. This is the first time I've felt like I've had an ally since you captured me."
Hearing this, Rossweise snorted coldly. "I've known my sister for two hundred years; you've known her for two hours. Just wait—you won't escape either."
"Che, I'm not afraid."
Rossweise gave him a sidelong glance but said nothing more.
She withdrew her gaze, turned, and walked to the wardrobe in the room, intending to see if there was a nightgown to wear to bed.
Whenever she had stayed overnight at Isa's place in the past, Isa always thoughtfully prepared everything Rossweise needed.
But this time, when Rossweise opened the wardrobe, she froze.
It wasn't that Isa had forgotten to prepare—it was that she had prepared way too much.
Leon noticed Rossweise standing frozen in front of the wardrobe and walked over curiously.
Then.
He froze as well.
The smile on his face instantly disappeared.
Inside the large wardrobe, the top layer was filled with all kinds of uniforms, black stockings, and lingerie—the kind that would make anyone blush just by looking at them, even if they weren't being worn.
The middle and bottom layers of the wardrobe, however, were stocked with various... toys.
Candles, blindfolds, delicate chains, small whips— even handcuffs.
Rossweise reached out, her jade-like fingers brushing across the pieces of lingerie before picking up a small whip from below. She weighed it in her hand, and the whip let out crisp snapping sounds.
Rossweise raised her eyes, smiled playfully, and looked at Leon,"What did I tell you? You won't escape either."
Leon was so startled by her words that he took half a step back. His eyes landed on the whip in her hand, and he couldn't help but swallow hard. "You—you don't really intend to use those toys, do you..."
Rossweise shrugged. "Who knows? What if..."
As she spoke, she leaned closer to Leon, casually swinging the whip in her hand. "I want to try something new?"
"Your idea is great, but I suggest you stop thinking about it."
Leon quickly snatched the whip from her hand, threw it back into the wardrobe, and shut the wardrobe doors in one swift motion.
Rossweise chuckled. "What's the matter? Don't tell me you plan to sleep in those clothes?"
"What's the matter? Don't tell me you plan to sleep in those wardrobe outfits?" Leon countered.
"What? Afraid you won't be able to control yourself if I do?"
Leon snorted, smirking as he muttered, "You could dress as a bunny girl, and I'd still keep my composure."
"What did you just say?" Rossweise didn't catch his words.
"Nothing. I'm tired. I'm going to sleep."
"No getting into bed without showering."
Before Rossweise could finish her sentence, Leon had already leapt onto the bed with a fluid motion.
But the moment he landed, he was enveloped by a strange softness.
Leon froze, feeling the movement beneath him.
This feeling...
"Is this a freaking waterbed?"
At that moment, Leon seemed to understand.
Isa could transform a young dragon's playground into a sisterly suite; she could also turn a couple's S.M-themed suite into a marital room.
Transparent bathroom, rose-petal bathtub, lingerie and various props—and now a waterbed...
It was hard not to question what her true intentions were in inviting them over.
Leon suddenly recalled the look Isa had given him and Rossweise before she closed the door earlier.
It was as if...
As if she were locking two endangered species in a room, waiting for them to mate, reproduce, and revive their kind.
