Chapter 86: The Soul Palace's Routine Meeting and the Consequence of Showboating
The regular meeting of the Soul Palace began.
The Chu Yangs from other worlds shared updates with the Chu Yang of the Martial Arts World, and everyone exchanged recent memories and abilities.
Following the plan, Pirate Chu Yang had successfully acquired the lineage factor technology, isolating part of it with Wood Release characteristics. Now, Naruto Chu Yang would leverage this to extract the necessary lineage factors from the remnants of the Otsutsuki bloodline.
With this, they could attempt to create a lineage factor for the Sage of the Six Paths.
Naruto Chu Yang had already mastered Sage Mode.
Adding the Sage of the Six Paths' lineage factor would allow him to replicate the Six Paths Sage Mode perfectly.
Naruto Chu Yang also had another idea.
"I'd like to test if the lineage factor technology could extract a portion of the Tailed Beast's chakra from a Jinchuriki."
"If successful, we could combine these chakras to create our own Ten-Tails chakra."
The idea was intriguing and sparked an immediate discussion.
Magic Chu Yang said, "In theory, it's possible. After all, the Tailed Beasts were originally parts of the Ten-Tails chakra, with each beast embodying unique traits."
"The key issue lies in the fusion, which would require an immense amount of chakra. The Tailed Beast chakra we'd get from a Jinchuriki would be incomplete and would need supplementation to ensure a high fusion success rate."
Bleach Chu Yang reminded, "Let's put that plan on hold for now. Our priority is to replicate the Six Paths Sage Mode first."
"Kisuke Urahara's training for me is nearly complete. Soon, I'll be entering the Soul Society with Ichigo and the others."
"I haven't had a full-scale battle with a Captain-level Shinigami, so I'm unsure how effective Sage Mode will be."
"For me, the Six Paths Sage Mode would be a crucial safeguard."
Naruto Chu Yang nodded in agreement.
Magic Chu Yang asked, "Has Kisuke Urahara's training helped you connect with your Zanpakutō?"
Bleach Chu Yang sighed, "It has, but I'm not Kurosaki Ichigo. I can't replicate what he does. I have to take the conventional route by joining the Shinigami ranks to forge my Zanpakutō."
Magic Chu Yang advised, "Make good use of your Observation Haki and try to avoid troublesome opponents!"
"Stay clear of Genryusai Yamamoto, Sosuke Aizen, Shunsui Kyōraku, Retsu Unohana, and Kenpachi Zaraki."
"Anyone else should be fair game for you."
Bleach Chu Yang scratched his head, smiling wryly. "Looking at it that way, I don't have many opponents I could realistically beat."
Demon Slayer Chu Yang suddenly chimed in, "I've recently gained some insights on the Origin Breathing. You might find them useful when you return."
Pirate Chu Yang added, "Though I've been busy with the lineage factor research, I haven't neglected my Haki training. Don't worry."
Bleach Chu Yang nodded repeatedly, "I appreciate the effort, guys. I was only joking earlier; I'm very confident about this journey to the Soul Society."
Marvel Chu Yang then remarked, "The core of Sage Mode is balancing body, mind, and nature energy."
"But isn't the Soul Society devoid of natural energy? Everything there is made up of Reishi, right?"
"In that case, how will you use Sage Mode?"
Bleach Chu Yang was taken aback.
He hadn't considered this yet.
Marvel Chu Yang patted his shoulder, encouraging him, "Once you return, work on using Reishi to create a new type of Sage Mode."
Bleach Chu Yang was deep in thought.
Marvel Chu Yang turned to Magic Chu Yang and asked, "Is your current wandless casting strong enough for the three Unforgivable Curses?"
Magic Chu Yang shook his head, "Not yet. I can only manage some simple spells."
Marvel Chu Yang looked disappointed. He was hoping that if wandless casting was powerful enough to use the Imperius Curse, he could consider joining S.H.I.E.L.D.
If he could use the Imperius Curse to control Hydra's upper echelon, it would provide significant leverage.
After some more discussion, the Chu Yangs returned to their respective worlds.
…
Martial Arts World.
A steel blade was just 0.01 seconds away from striking Chu Yang's head. When he opened his eyes, black lightning, invisible to the ordinary eye, erupted wildly, sending a terrifying force through the surroundings.
It was Conqueror's Haki.
The petty thugs' eyes rolled back as they collapsed in front of Chu Yang.
In fact, everyone on the street was struck by the force of the Haki and passed out instantly.
A particularly burly man, sporting three large lumps on his head, felt as if he'd just been hit by a sledgehammer. Just as he reached up to rub the back of his head, he passed out, managing to hold on only two seconds longer than his lackeys.
As for the large fool who had involved Chu Yang in this mess, he surprisingly remained standing, swaying against a pillar.
"Why does my head feel so dizzy?" he muttered, looking nauseous.
"You brat, you almost got me killed." Chu Yang approached him, glaring with clenched teeth.
"My friend, I'm terribly sorry..." The big guy apologized, facing Chu Yang's side. Clearly, he was so dazed he couldn't tell directions.
"No need to apologize. Let's just say payback is in order." Chu Yang smiled, then knocked the big guy unconscious as he stared in confusion.
Chu Yang searched him thoroughly, taking all the silver and valuables he found, even stripping him of his fur coat.
"Leaving you with a single layer is already generous. Next time, be smarter and don't drag innocent people into trouble. Not everyone's as lucky as I am."
After shooting him a glance, Chu Yang turned to the flamboyant "Goth Clan" members lying on the ground.
"Strangers with no grudge against me yet attacking bystanders with such malice… You're no virtuous lot." Chu Yang picked up a steel blade and casually slashed one man's throat. "Don't blame me for settling scores with a clean slate!"
With that, Chu Yang strode forward, blade in hand.
In moments, the entire street was awash with blood.
Chu Yang remained calm.
Had it been an ordinary person caught in today's situation, they would undoubtedly have been killed by this gang.
Killing them caused Chu Yang no moral qualms.
As he finished with all but the last thug, the burly one with three lumps suddenly scrambled to his feet, fleeing as fast as he could.
He seemed to know some basic martial arts, but he wasn't very skilled; he'd been running a while and still hadn't left Chu Yang's sight.
Chu Yang threw the steel blade. With brute strength, even a common weapon became a deadly tool of death.
The fleeing man heard the blade whistling toward him. When he looked back, he saw a steel blade, shockingly familiar, hurtling his way.
It was over!
Before he could think further, the blade had pierced his body, embedding him, along with the weapon, into the wall.
Chu Yang walked over slowly, looking up at him.
"You… killed me today, but my senior brother… he won't let you get away with this."
With those last defiant words, he fell limp, eyes wide open in death.
"So? Who's your senior brother? Who leaves a threat half-finished?"
Chu Yang shook his head. "You wanted to kill me first and died in the process. It's just karma. If you're going to play this game, you should be prepared… Disappointing."
As blood trickled down the wall, nearing Chu Yang's feet, he walked away, stepping over the body with the wide, angry eyes.
It wouldn't be long before officials arrived, and he'd left the fool as the scapegoat.
With luck, the fool might escape before the officials arrived.
The scapegoat was not a given.
Later, Chu Yang, wearing the fur coat, arrived at the Earth God Temple but couldn't find the little beggar.
After asking around, Chu Yang discovered that the beggar didn't live there after all.
The kid had lied to him.
But Chu Yang could understand.
People who are outcasts rarely find comfort among others.
After handing out some food, Chu Yang left the temple.
He searched the city but still couldn't find the beggar.
At dusk, Chu Yang, as usual, went to a teahouse for food and entertainment, but there was still no sign of the beggar. Chu Yang had wanted to share his windfall joy, but the kid had gone AWOL.
"With a full table of dishes and no one to share it with, guess I'll have to eat it all myself. It's…"
"Fantastic!"
In high spirits, Chu Yang feasted, enjoying the meal without a care for the missing beggar.
His cheerful mood even made him sit calmly through the most absurd stories.
"Since the last showdown between the Northern and Southern Beggar Clans at Yanmen Pass, the martial world in the Song Empire has been calm."
"But in the neighboring Ming Empire, things are in turmoil."
"The Ming Empire's two major cults, the Ming Cult and the Sun Moon Holy Cult, have always clashed due to their differing doctrines, leading to frequent disputes."
"Just a few days ago, Yang Xiao from the Ming Sect and Xiang Wentian from the Sun Moon Holy Cult had a fierce confrontation. Both are the Left Guardians of their respective sects, placing them in a status that's just below one, yet above ten thousand."
"Their battle has reignited the long-standing feud between the two sects, putting it back into the spotlight."
"As for the cause, it seems to involve a female disciple from Emei Sect named Ji Xiaofu."
"It's said that this Ji Xiaofu, also known as Fairy Ji, is the fiancée of Yin Liting, the Sixth Hero of Wudang Mountain, and has been missing for years..."
Chu Yang was left dumbfounded by what he heard.
The Ming Sect at war with the Sun Moon Holy Cult?
"The Southern Song and Northern Song splitting into separate countries is one thing, but now even the Ming dynasty is joining the fray..."
"Qiao Feng belongs to Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, Hong Qigong is from The Legend of the Condor Heroes and The Return of the Condor Heroes, Yang Xiao is in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, and Xiang Wentian is from The Smiling, Proud Wanderer."
"The entire northwest of Shanxi is in utter chaos!"
As Chu Yang was on his way home, the simple-minded man who nearly got him killed was brought hurriedly, in the middle of the night, into a mansion.
The man opened his eyes only to see a fierce-looking bald man glaring at him, which startled him.
"Who are you?"
"Who am I? You killed my junior brother and four disciples! Who do you think I am?"
"Junior brother and disciples? Are you talking about Hou Tonghai and the Four Demons of the Yellow River? I didn't kill them!"
"Still trying to deny it? They went specifically after you, so how could they die at someone else's hands?"
"I really didn't kill them!"
The big guy kept trying to defend himself, but he wasn't eloquent enough. All he could repeat was "It wasn't me," and the bald man refused to listen.
The bald man sneered coldly, "Guo Jing! First, you spoiled the Mongolian prince's plan to assassinate Temujin. Now, you've killed my junior brother Sha Tongtian's disciples. I won't let you off easily!"
"I'm going to keep you here in the prince's mansion and make sure you suffer a fate worse than death, to appease my anger!"
With that, Sha Tongtian ordered his men to drag Guo Jing away.
