Chapter 80: The Five Kage Summit, Chu Yang Strikes It Rich

Stark Industries CEO—Tony Stark has returned!

This eye-catching headline was prominently displayed in newspapers beloved by Americans, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today early in the morning.

New York was in an uproar!

Countless people had thought Tony Stark would die in that godforsaken place!

As soon as the news broke, Stark Industries' plummeting stock skyrocketed!

When Tony Stark's car arrived at Stark Tower, the flash of cameras was incessant.

All that was missing was a red carpet laid on the ground.

The scene was so grand that even a Hollywood star-studded event would pale in comparison.

As soon as Stark stepped out of the car, Obadiah Stane greeted him with a beaming smile.

His happiness surpassed everyone else combined.

"Welcome back, Tony. You have no idea how worried I've been about you during this time."

Hearing Obadiah's concerned words, Tony gave a mocking smile.

Thanks to reminders from Chu Yang and Happy, he knew that the man who had watched him grow up was the mastermind behind his kidnapping, colluding with terrorists.

Yet now, this person was smiling so sincerely!

The very thought of the trust he had placed in him made Tony feel sick. He pushed away Obadiah's hand, which was reaching out to support him.

"I can walk by myself, Stane."

Tony glanced at him and walked past without hesitation.

Happy followed closely behind.

Obadiah was caught off guard; he never expected Tony to react this way.

His expression darkened instantly as he lowered his head and trailed behind Tony, trying not to attract the attention of the reporters.

Fortunately for him, where Tony Stark was, the cameras and flashes followed first.

"He seems quite angry, Miss Potts."

"Yang, could it really be Mr. Stane…"

"If you don't believe me, we can go to his office during the press conference and look for evidence. He won't be back for a while."

"Alright!"

Pepper was eager to confirm whether Obadiah was truly behind the kidnapping.

For that, she needed solid evidence.

As more reporters arrived, the entrance to the press conference was completely blocked.

Pepper and Chu Yang seized the moment and quietly headed to Obadiah's office.

With her status as Tony's executive assistant, Pepper could move freely throughout the building, even into Obadiah's office, without raising suspicion.

Moreover, most people's attention was focused on Tony.

They entered the office effortlessly. Pepper skillfully opened the computer on the desk and started searching through the files.

She clicked on a video that looked odd.

Moments later, her pupils shrank in shock.

The video documented the entire kidnapping process of Tony and even included a meeting between Obadiah and the terrorist leader.

Pepper took a deep breath, pulled a USB drive from her bag, and began copying the incriminating evidence.

At that moment, Chu Yang heard something outside the room. Immediately, he activated his Observation Haki and locked onto a shadowy figure.

In an instant, Chu Yang moved like a predator pouncing on its prey.

The person outside barely had time to react. When Chu Yang rushed at him, he instinctively threw a punch.

But in front of Chu Yang, his speed was far too slow.

Chu Yang grabbed the joints of his arm.

Snap! Snap!

Two crisp sounds echoed as the man's arm drooped suddenly before Chu Yang pinned him against the wall.

Thud!

The immense force made the man feel like a bear had slammed him into the wall, nearly knocking him unconscious.

Barely holding onto consciousness, the man whispered, "I think there's been a misunderstanding. I had no ill intentions."

"Tch, every villain in the movies says the same thing."

Chu Yang applied more pressure to the man's arm.

Following someone suspiciously and claiming not to be a bad guy—who would believe that?

"Oh, my God, kids these days sure are well-nourished. Sixteen and already so strong," the man muttered.

"You seem to know a lot about me?" Chu Yang narrowed his eyes, a long-forgotten killing intent surfacing as his hand slowly reached for the back of the man's head.

Whoosh!

A sudden gust of wind came from Chu Yang's right.

A short-haired woman dressed in tactical gear appeared beside him, aiming a kick at his waist while his right arm was pinning the man down.

It was a vicious and precise attack—if it hit, it could cripple an ordinary person.

Chu Yang lifted the man in front of him as a shield.

The short-haired woman's eyes widened in disbelief. She hadn't expected Chu Yang to have such strength.

To lift an adult male so effortlessly!

She had no choice but to pull back her strength and divert her kick toward the wall.

Crack!

A small crack appeared in the wall.

The woman's face turned red as she stood on her tiptoes, clearly hurt.

"Hey, hey, relax, I said it was a misunderstanding!" the man shouted at Chu Yang.

Pepper emerged from the room after collecting the evidence.

She was bewildered to see Chu Yang holding a strange man in the air.

"What's going on?" Pepper asked, confused. She had only heard commotion outside and didn't expect Chu Yang to get into a fight.

"Miss Potts, please tell him to let me down. I'm a government agent, not a corporate spy," the man explained hurriedly.

"FBI?" Pepper was shocked and quickly told Chu Yang to put the man down.

Chu Yang tilted his head, glanced at the man's hairline, and understood the situation.

He let the man go.

"I used to work there, but not anymore." The man straightened his suit. "I'm now with the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division."

Pepper stared at him blankly.

"A bit of a mouthful, I know," the man said awkwardly, "Anyway, I'm Phil Coulson. I'm here to learn about Tony Stark's experience in Afghanistan."

Yes, the man who had almost been taken down by Chu Yang was Phil Coulson, a senior agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and a key figure in the upcoming Battle of New York.

Chu Yang turned to the short-haired woman and asked, "And who's she?"

Coulson replied, "She's my colleague, Agent Hill."

Pepper, still concerned, asked, "Agent Hill looks like she's in a lot of pain."

Hill stood up straight, her expression tense.

After her concern, Pepper noticed the woman's excellent figure and immediately frowned. "Is she also here to learn about Tony?"

Coulson quickly waved his hand and pointed to Chu Yang, "She's here to learn about him…"

Chu Yang: "???"

Chu Yang hadn't expected to attract Nick Fury's attention.

Then again, it made sense. Tony hadn't yet developed the true Iron Man suit.

It was only after defeating Obadiah's Iron Monger that Tony would come under Nick Fury's radar.

However, Hill wasn't here to recruit Chu Yang for the Avengers.

She was here to see if he could be recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D. as an agent.

With his current abilities, Chu Yang wasn't yet on Fury's radar for the Avengers initiative.

"That's too dangerous, Agent Hill. I have no interest in becoming an agent," Chu Yang rejected the offer without hesitation.

No joke, Stark Industries paid him ten times the salary.

Could S.H.I.E.L.D. afford that?

Fighting battles without proper insurance—who would agree to that?

"Are you sure you don't want to reconsider?" Hill's face soured, not knowing whether it was from the pain or the rejection.

"Miss Agent, I don't care which department you're from," Pepper stood in front of Chu Yang, staring at Hill with a serious expression, "but I must remind you that employing minors is illegal."

Hill coldly responded, "If you're so aware of the law, why are you letting him work at Stark Industries?"

"First, Yang doesn't work here. He's a beneficiary of the Stark Foundation, and we are his guardians."

Pepper sternly added, "Second, I will not allow him to become some ridiculous agent."

Coulson, seeing the tension between the two women escalate, quickly stepped in to defuse the situation. "Miss Potts, we're merely suggesting it. It's not a mandate for him to join us."

"You also know he's not an ordinary boy. We're worried he might misuse his powers. He needs guidance."

"Don't you agree?"

Pepper's expression softened at Coulson's explanation, but she remained firm. "Thank you for your concern, but guiding Yang to do the right thing is our responsibility."

"Okay, okay!" Coulson raised his hands, nodding repeatedly.

Pepper didn't waste any more time arguing. Before Obadiah returned, she quickly left with Chu Yang.

Hill and Coulson didn't stop them, knowing they stood no chance against Chu Yang.

"I don't really like that woman," Chu Yang muttered.

"From my perspective, you two are actually quite alike."

"That's why I don't like her."

"If this were a movie, the scriptwriter would make you best friends."

"Shut up, Coulson!"

Coulson shrugged and fell silent.

Hill rolled her eyes. "That boy's skills are even better than I expected."

Coulson replied seriously, "His counter-surveillance abilities are impressive too. I was already being cautious when approaching them, but he still noticed me immediately."

"I didn't even see his movements clearly before he subdued me," Hill said helplessly. "This kind of report will only make Fury more interested in the boy."

Coulson shook his head and said, "Next time, let's let him come in person."

Meanwhile, at the press conference, an uproar had already erupted. Just moments ago, Tony Stark had announced the permanent shutdown of Stark Industries' weapons division in front of everyone.

This was the most profitable division of Stark Industries!

Obadiah Stane, seated next to Tony, stared at him in a daze.

For a long moment, anger surged within him like a volcano about to erupt.

But even so, his rational mind kept telling him to stay calm!

Tony dropped this bombshell of a statement, causing a massive wave of shock, and without looking back, he walked out of the press conference.

Obadiah then stood up and addressed the gathered reporters: "Tony's just a little shaken from his experience in Afghanistan. Once he clears his head, he'll realize he's made a ridiculous joke. Please don't take it seriously."

After saying that, he ignored the reporters' questions and hurried out.

He followed Tony in the direction he'd left.

But Tony, now aware of the full truth, had no intention of calmly talking things through with Obadiah.

"Stane, what do I need to explain? This company is called Stark Industries, founded by my father, and I am its rightful owner!"

Tony, on the verge of losing control, shouted angrily at Obadiah, intimidating the latter into silence.

Seeing this, Happy stepped forward, whispered a few words into Tony's ear, and finally, Tony began to calm down.

"Sorry, I just got back from a terrorist base. I'm a bit unstable emotionally."
