Chapter 3: Chapter 2
The first of September finally arrived.
The word emotion fell short of what Skuld Weasley felt.
She specially chose her clothes, dressing in her favorite colors: black and green.
When she went down to the kitchen to have breakfast, adjusting her second-hand emerald green sweater, she found her entire family happily eating toast and bacon, laughing and somewhat busy.
As if they noticed the redhead's presence, everyone changes their laughter to grimaces of displeasure, and the twins turn to look at her seriously and even angrily.
[T/N: Come on! Not the Twins! No wonder she's dark and dreary, she's an outcast.]
- It's already arrived.
She didn't care, she was used to it.
She took the leftovers of the food and sat on a stool away from the table since she didn't want to disturb them.
While she ate a piece of burnt toast, she began to think about what it would be like in the family... If anyone were missing.
Her sight immediately fell to where Fred and Percy were jokingly fighting, although the prefect didn't take it that way.
What would happen if...?
-Nike, come on!- Her twin brother Ronnie pulled her out of her thoughts.
She deposited her empty plate in the sink except for parts she left behind that were burned, and she ran upstairs to brush her teeth and grab her things.
In three days, she had read every page of the books while her brothers played Quidditch on the hill.
It's not that she didn't like the sport.
It's just that they don't want her in her free time.
Another thing on the list of things she didn't understand, but she was used to.
[T/N: Hopefully old Voldi and Snape looks after her, maybe Draco will treat her either as a sister or at least a friend.]
She barely dragged her trunk down because no one had decided to help her, and she left it in the enlarged trunk of her father's Ford Anglia.
She got confused seeing how a gnome tripped over a chicken, and thanks to that she was left without space in the car.
"Come up, Nike," Molly said nervously.
She walked in and sat nervously between Ginny and George, packed together like canned sardines.
"I don't want to sit with her, mom!" She complained as if her older sister didn't exist.
- It'll just be a little while, darling.
"Dear".
A nickname that she has never received from her parents. They always call her Nike, her, or on special occasions, their daughter.
It seemed like she was doing something wrong just by breathing.
They arrived at the station about twenty minutes before eleven, and they all looked like fools. Nine people in a single car, a record.
They told her to go ahead after telling her to just go through the wall, and she, obedient so as not to have more hatred or resentment, speeds up and goes through the wall.
She didn't feel afraid.
The bustle of the magical season hit her squarely. Owls flying from here to there, parents sensitive to leaving their children, cats scurrying between the legs of the crowd...
Barely using her crazy imagination once again, she made it to the train, leaving her luggage with the rest of them.
She went up without worrying about finding her family. She could always send letters, she would already talk to them, she didn't want to spoil anything else.
In the three compartments that she tried to enter to make a friend beyond her notebook, she was quickly kicked out.
In the first compartment, there were two older girls, perhaps Fred and George's age, but they rejected her with looks of displeasure.
In the second, two huge fat boys with a pale boy with a rat face.
[T/N: Aw MAN!]
And in the third, some brunette twins and a blonde-haired girl call her ugly.
What had she done to those people other than wanting to offer her friendship?
She finally found a free place.
The problem is that a boy approached at the same time as her.
-Hello! -He greets happily.- My name is Seamus Finnigan.
Skuld couldn't take in what she just saw, so she pinched herself to ensure that she wasn't daydreaming.
"I-My name is Skuld Weasley," she introduced herself awkwardly.
- Do you want us to sit together? There aren't many places left, and you seem like fun.
And Skuld smiles.
. . . . .
During the ride, the redhead still couldn't believe that the two boys wanted to sit with her, without insults, bad looks, or total rejection.
After she and Seamus sat together and began a conversation about Hogwarts, a dark-skinned boy joined in.
Dean Thomas was quite funny, the same as Seamus.
When they got off the train at night, they followed Hagrid, the enormous gamekeeper with a fierce appearance, but a tender heart.
In the boats the three sat together, also accompanied by a girl who didn't look like a first-year at all.
Now, they look forward to the hat saying their name.
Skuld didn't care about the house, she just hoped to be with Seamus and Dean.
-Finnigan, Seamus!
Dean and I gave him a thumbs up, and before long Gryffindor had received its second member after Lavender Brown, one of the girls who called her ugly.
- Potter, Harry!
Her senses buzz. That name caused... Disgust.
Yes, disgust would be the word.
She didn't share their admiration for him, just like her family and crazy Ginny, who is in love with him.
[T/N: Yeah, Ginny was nuts.]
She could even say that she hated it whenever she had to read about him, or heard someone mention him.
She watched the hat being placed on his head and... she imagined him burning in flames, in the middle of a war, on the head of someone who was desperately fighting not to be burned to death.
Dean ends up going to Gryffindor too.
And the girl who was the twin's age from what they told me, entered Ravenclaw.
[T/N: LATE BLOMMER!! EVERYBODY MAKE FUN OF THEM!]
-Weasley, Ronald!
He does have an ugly name, unlike her.
Why then is he called by his name?
- GRYFFINDOR!
She saw herself coming next.
All Weasleys are easy to tell apart. Large family, everything second-hand, redheads, freckles, and Gryffindor is full of them.
Nothing new considering she was the fifth.
She had inherited almost everything, even Perce's ugly rat.
a Rat that makes Skuld uncomfortable.
Her imagination makes him seem like an old and cowardly man, a criminal loyal to the Dark Lord.
And she didn't think calling the Dark Lord "You-Know-Who" was okay. His name is not something horrible, just a man with different ideals who has done bad things.
She didn't call him Voldemort either. It would be like an insult.
She called him The Dark Lord, something that usually scares her parents and siblings.
They are ridiculous.
- Weasley, Skuld!
At a leisurely pace, she sat down on the stool, and Professor McGonagall, who had taken an instant liking to her, placed the patched Hat on her head, blocking part of her vision.
- I've been waiting to select you for almost ten years!
The voice in her head scared her at first, but she relaxed, imagining that he was good, and won't hurt her.
- There are many interesting things in your thoughts... A very open, curious mind. You don't have that of a Slytherin, despite important things I see... Family rejection... Despite this you are special, Skuld Nike Weasley. I cannot alter destiny, I feel this, young woman.
-SLYTHERIN!
And something inside her hurt when she saw the faces her brothers made.
Like... If they already expected that she would never be like them outside of the clear DNA.
Meanwhile, a certain green-eyed boy watched in confusion as the red-haired girl identical to his new friend cast an apologetic look at his table, and ran to the snake table with her head lowered.
Hadn't Ron Weasley told him that he didn't have any more sisters?
He was curious to know more about that red-haired girl that his friend denied existed.
