East Sea City, the second largest coastal city in the Sun-Moon Federation, holds a significant role as a port, fishery, and marine resource hub. Known as one of the Federation's top eighteen cities, it's also the second core city of the Tianhai Alliance, carrying immense weight among all towns in the eastern Federation.

With a history stretching back to the era of the Sun-Moon Empire, East Sea City is steeped in heritage. Jing Shaoyu couldn't help but think that the empire's rulers must have been either bold or careless to transform an empire into a federal state. Given the presence of organizations like Shrek Academy, the Tang Sect, and the Spirit Pagoda, the Sun-Moon Federation was indeed something unique; it was almost as if these three organizations were ready to form a nation of their own.

They finally arrived at the East Sea Spirit Pagoda.

As one of the eighteen Spirit Pagoda branches, East Sea's pagoda earned the name "Sky Pillar" for its towering height. Standing over four hundred meters tall, it was the tallest building in the city. Shaped like an octagonal tower, it narrowed as it rose, giving it an imposing, majestic appearance.

"Wow! This is the Spirit Pagoda? It's so tall!" Na'er exclaimed in awe.

"Haha, yes, Na'er! This is the East Sea Spirit Pagoda, one of our city's landmarks!" Ouyang Jian replied with pride, gesturing for them to follow him inside.

Once inside, Jing Shaoyu was greeted by a grand mural depicting the heroic deeds of Huo Yuhao. Though the artwork was indeed impressive and awe-inspiring, Jing Shaoyu couldn't help but feel a sense of dread when thinking of how Huo's legacy had been manipulated by the legendary Tang God King. He silently hoped that he would never experience such "grandeur."

"City Lord, what brings you to the Spirit Pagoda today?" The receptionist, recognizing Ouyang Jian, asked with surprise.

"I'm here to help a young talent choose a spirit soul. Notify Old Ji and have him come down to greet me," Ouyang Jian replied casually.

"Yes, please wait a moment!" The receptionist didn't dare delay, immediately contacting the pagoda's staff. Within a minute, the lobby, which had been bustling with activity, cleared out, leaving only Ouyang Jian, Jing Shaoyu, Na'er, and the pagoda employees.

"Old Ouyang, what wind blew you to my Spirit Pagoda today? You didn't even let me know in advance!" Soon after, an elderly man with white hair appeared, greeting Ouyang Jian with a jovial laugh.

This was Ji Changming, the head of the East Sea Spirit Pagoda.

"Enough small talk, Old Ji. I'm here to select a spirit soul, so get ready to assist!" Ouyang Jian replied without any reservation, a smug smile on his face.

"Selecting a spirit soul?" Ji Changming looked surprised, scanning Ouyang Jian before noticing the two children beside him. His gaze fell on Jing Shaoyu, and his face brightened with understanding. "So, this is Jing Shaoyu, right? You should know, I was informed of his awakening as soon as it happened. I received word from Xiahou Wu in Aolai City just this afternoon! I didn't expect you'd personally escort him here, so I imagine his spirit is truly remarkable?"

"Hmph!" Ouyang Jian's face shifted momentarily before he snorted, "Then lead the way, already."

"Alright, alright, follow me!" Ji Changming chuckled, leading Ouyang Jian, Jing Shaoyu, and Na'er into a red elevator.

The elevator ascended to the top floor, where they entered a spacious room with minimalist decor. Three massive LCD screens and a large desk facing the door stood out as the room's most notable features.

"Alright, young one, let's start by measuring your basic stats before selecting a spirit soul," Ji Changming explained, pointing to a circular platform below the screens and gesturing for Jing Shaoyu to step onto it.

"Alright." Jing Shaoyu stepped onto the platform, where a green light rose from beneath him, scanning his body.

The LCD screens flashed various colors before settling on three lines of text. Jing Shaoyu looked up to see:

Bone Age: Six years, two months, three days.

Physical Strength: Level 21.

Mental Power: 111 points.

Both Ouyang Jian and Ji Changming looked astonished, their eyes alight with excitement.

"Well done, boy! Just after awakening, and you already have the constitution of a Spirit Grandmaster!" Ouyang Jian exclaimed.

Ji Changming took a step forward, grasping Jing Shaoyu's arm. "Child, would you be interested in joining our Spirit Pagoda?"

While the adults spoke, Jing Shaoyu pondered his stats.

Mental Power Tiers:

Ling Yuan Realm: The basic level, representing a person's innate mental strength, capable of supporting yellow-ranked and below spirit souls.

Ling Tong Realm: The entry level for mastering one's spirit, able to bear two yellow-ranked or one purple-ranked spirit soul. Jing Shaoyu's score of 111 fell into this category.

Ling Hai Realm: At this advanced level, mental power becomes vast, allowing the user to handle black-ranked spirit souls. This level requires a mental power score of 500 to 5000.

Ling Yuan Realm: Mental power as deep as an abyss, capable of bearing spirit souls of up to 100,000 years, or even rare orange spirit souls of 200,000 years. This realm requires a score above 5000.

Ling Yu Realm: At this level, mental power becomes an internal domain, supporting any spirit soul quality with a minimum power of 20,000 points.

Shen Yuan Realm: A legendary level where mental power reaches a divine state, rumored to be a prerequisite for becoming a deity, requiring at least 50,000 points.

"Alright, A-Yu, come here," Ji Changming said warmly, beckoning Jing Shaoyu with a smile.

Jing Shaoyu eagerly approached. Was he finally about to receive his first spirit soul and become a true Spirit Master?

Seeing Ouyang Jian's smug expression, Ji Changming couldn't help but ask, "Child, would you consider joining our Spirit Pagoda? I could arrange for you to become the disciple of a Title Douluo!"

"Ji Changming!" Ouyang Jian roared, furious.
